• CheckedState inconsisten in Treeview using Find Method

  Hello, I'm using a Treeview control in a .NET 3.5 c# project and I'm noticing inconsistencies in the checked property when I use the find method of the Treeview control. I'll check some leaves (nodes with no children) and then click a button. Inside the button click I'm using the find method of the treeview control to locate the node and interrogate the value of the checked property. On screen the leaf will be checked but according to the checked property of the node returned from the Find method its not checked. Has anyone else run into this? Thanks

• Best option for Google App Engine Datastore and external database?

  I need to get an App Engine app talking to and sharing data with an external database, The best option i can come up with is outputting the external database data to an xml file and then processing this in my app engine app and storing it inside the datastore, although the data being shared is sensitive data such as login details so outputting this to an xml file is not exactly a great idea, is it possible for the app engine app to directly query the database? or is there a secure option for using xml files? oh and im using python/django and the external database will be hosted on another domain

• VS 2008 unstable after "Stop Debugging"

  This was on Windows Server 2003 X86, VSTS 9.0.30729.1 SP I used "Attach to process" to debug the program, but recently when I "Stop Debugging" by "shift + f5", I was prompted with an error saying "VS has an internal error and will be unstable". After that all the debug related menu items were disabled e.g. "Start debugging" and "attach to process" etc., even when I forcibly closed the program the situation remained, leaving me the only option to restart the solution. The only reason I can think of causing this is that I forcibly kill the process a lot, in order to able to rebuild it quickly, other than that I didn't do anything abnormal to VS. another sympton: when I tried to close the VS normally, I was prompted with "source file [] does not belong to the project being debugged" for all the files I opened inside of IDE, but the file does belong to the project. • Prolog: using the sort/2 predicate

  So I'm trying to get rid of the wrapper clause by using the sort library predicate directly inside split. What split does is just generating a list of numbers from a list that looks like this: [1:2,3:2,4:6] ---split-- [1,2,3,2,4,6]. But the generated list contains duplicates, and I don't want that, so I'm using the wrapper to combine split and sort, which then generates the desired result: [1,2,3,4,6]. I'd really like to get rid of the wrapper and just use sort within split, however I keep getting "ERROR: sort/2: Arguments are not sufficiently instantiated." Any ideas? Thanks :) split([],[]). split([H1:H2|T],[H1,H2|NT]) :- split(T,NT). wrapper(L,Processed) :- split(L,L2), sort(L2,Processed).

  int main() { int *d=0; printf("%d\n",*d); return 0; } this works fine. >cc legal.c > ./a.out 0 if i change the statement int *d=0; to int *d=1; i see the error. cc: "legal.c", line 6: error 1522: Cannot initialize a pointer with an integer constant other than zero. so its obvious that it will allow only zero.i want to know what happens inside the memory when we do this int *d=0 which is making it valid syntax. I am just asking this out of curiosity!

• Are there any OSGi web service / SOAP clients out there?

  I'm looking for any webservice client that can be run inside an OSGi container and connect to a simple web service using SOAP, doesn't sound so hard does it? Oh, and it has to work under Java 1.5, so the JRE jax-ws wont be present. The problem is I've tried a few solutions now, and although each solution works in standard Java using it from within OSGi doesn't. the springsource JAX-WS bundles seem to have dependency issues the CXF bundles get me as far as calling the service, but then can seem to find the stub methods in the proxy Is there anyone out there who has successfully created an OSGi webservice client?

  Hello, I want to develop using a framework called symfony BUT, i do not have a MAC and i don't want to dual boot with Debian. I tryed virtual hosts via Virtual Box but it's too crappy. So i decided to stay on windows So when the tutorial tells me to do php lib/vendor/symfony/data/bin/check_configuration.php i do in the windows cmd : php lib\vendor\symfony\data\bin\check_configuration.php and it tells me : 'php' is not recognized as an internal or external command I use UwAmp (php 5.2.12 + mysql + apache) which is stored in E:\logiciels\UwAmp\ inside i have buch of file, but i guess that is important : E:\logiciels\UwAmp\apache\php_5.2.11 How to make the cmd PHP in the windows cmd work propely please?

• How can I set the Root Namespace property correctly in a C++/CLI application?

  I have a C++/CLI application in Visual Studio 2008 whose namespace follows the .NET guideline of CompanyName.TechnologyName[.Feature][.Design]. The problem is that there seems to be no way to set a multi-level namespace in the project's Root Namespace property. I have tried both CompanyName.TechnologyName and CompanyName::TechnologyName. It seems that I cannot have a Form control inside a namespace that is not the root namespace as this causes the resources it uses to not be found, thus to me it seems impossible to follow their guideline and be consistent with my C# applications. Is there a way to set this property to use multi-leveled namespaces or am I forced to use a root namespace that is simply one-level? Or is there a solution that I am overlooking? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

• iPhone Input with Stacked Views

  Hi, I've got a situation in an iphone application where buttons are not receiving input as I expect. Here's the setup: ViewMain - The main view full of various images and labels ViewOverlay - A HUD like overlay view with two UIButton objects. To create my scene I do the following: viewController.view = ViewMain [ViewMain addsubview:ViewOverlay] This view renders as expected, with ViewOverlay correctly rendered ontop of ViewMain. However the two buttons found inside ViewOverlay do not receive touch events and can not be pressed. Tapping them does nothing at all. I very well may be going about this in the entirely wrong direction. Any ideas?

  Hi! I had develop an intranet on CakePHP witch in one part generates a custom PDF using DOMPDF. The problem is that i have a memo field (mysql text) witch i print after getting the result from PHP nl2br function. The problems is that in some ocasions, this text is too long (even on font-size: 6px) and i need some way to make a page break (get again de header, and footer etc)... or maybe a nice way to get a second column to continue with the text inside. any ideas? thanks so much

• Strange findFn malfunction

  I noticed a strange malfunction in using findFn function (library sos) and I can't find out the source. While it works fine on my Windows XP pc, it does not on my Vista one. library (sos) findFn("randomization test") # in both finds 72 results findFn("{randomization test}") # In XP finds 19 or about so, but in Vista whenever I use {} and more than one word inside, # I keep getting the following: found 0 matches x has zero rows; nothing to display. Warning message: In findFn("{randomization test}") : HIT not found in HTML; processing one page only. R ver = 2.10.1 and packages updated. Any ideas where the problem might be? Bonus: As it's obvious, I was looking for functions about tests for randomized experiments

• Validation errors from Google App Engine Logout link

  I am making a web page using the Google App Engine. I am validating my pages, and found that the logout link that is generated by the call to the users api (in python) users.create_logout_url(request.uri) does not validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict. The href in the anchor tag looks like this: /_ah/login?continue=http%3A//localhost%3A8080/&action=Logout Including a link with this anchor text throws three different validation errors: *general entity "action" not defined and no default entity *reference to entity "action" for which no system identifier could be generated *EntityRef: expecting ';' Here is a dummy page with the anchor tag in it, if you want to try it on w3c validator.Dummy Page. The logout link wont work, but you can see how the page is valid without it, but the actual text inside the href tag breaks the validation. Any thoughts on whats going on? Thank you!

I thought that when such code is run inside ASP.NET app, data will be cached to ...\ASPNET\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files but it is not and cache is never used. What I am doing wrong? How to force HttpWebRequest to use cache in ASP.NET environment?

• Reading into directory, unix shell script

  I am trying to analyze the files/directories inside of a directory using a shell script, for example if the file is readable, if it is a file, if it is a directory, etc. My script is set up to take a directory as input. so I would type 'file.sh directoryname'. However, when I create a for loop to analyze the files, it analyzes the files in my current working directory rather than the specified directory name. This is my broken code: file=$1 set mypath = $file for file in $mypath * do if [ -d $file ] dirCount=`expr $dirCount + 1` fi done Why does this read the working directory instead of the specified directory?   I had my static site with which WordPress blogs were integrated. Now I have made a Grails application with which I want to integrate those WordPress blogs. I had put the WordPress folder copied from my previous site to the web-app folder of my Grails application. But I am not able to access the WordPress folder, as when I hit URL - http://localhost:8080/myApplicaiton/wordpress/, it shows this error: Error 500: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out Also, in my urlMappings.groovy one of the mappings I need is "/$generalPageURL"(controller:'myConroller', action:'myAction') And if I put in the above mapping, all requests for WordPress goes to myAction of myController. Is there any way out to still reach the WordPress folder defined inside web-app folder with the above mapping?

  I need to program a simple Windows Explorer that only lists all files inside a folder recursively. The only solution I found up to now is using an ActiveX controller. So, I installed Visual Studio 2010, but I don't know really how to use it to make an ActiveX. I tried to create a Class Library then add a Explorer module.   You can use the URL helper in Code Igniter to load CSS and Javascript with the base_url() method, but what if you have images dynamically being placed into your HTML via javascript? for example in my javascript file I've got var arrowimages={down:['downarrowclass', 'images/down.png', 23], right:['rightarrowclass', 'images/right.png']} and those images will be placed into whatever menu item I've specified has a drop down menu. but that file is a .js file so obviously the server won't load php inside of it. so, how can I set the base url for the JS? • No method 'get' on backbone model save

  I'm using backbone for a reasonably complicated form. I have a number of nested models, and have been computing other variables in the parent model like so: // INSIDE PARENT MODEL computedValue: function () { var value = this.get('childModel').get('childModelProperty'); return value; } This seems to work fine for keeping my UI in sync, but as soon as I call .save() on the parent model, I get: Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'get' It seems that the child model kind of temporarily stops responding. • Cleanest/One-liner way to require all files in directory in Ruby?

  When creating gems, I often have a directory structure like this: |--lib |-- helpers.rb `-- helpers |-- helper_a.rb `-- helper_b.rb Inside the helpers.rb, I'm just require-ing the files in the helpers directory. But I have to do things like this: $:.push(File.dirname(__FILE__) + '/helpers') require 'helper_a' require 'helper_b' Is there a way to make that one line so I never have to add to it? I just came up with this real quick: dir = File.join(File.dirname(__FILE__), "helpers") Dir.entries(dir)[2..-1].each { |file| require "#{dir}/#{file[0..-4]}" } But it's two lines and ugly. What's a slick one liner to solve this problem?
