  • How do I manage permissions on multiple items in SharePoint 2007?

    I'm relatively new to SharePoint and am trying to put a bunch of Word files (that were on our network file server) into SharePoint. We have set up a document library that, by default, gives everyone access to everything. This is the desired top-level permission set because most items will work well this way. The problem is that I have a bunch of documents I want to add and apply some specific permissions to. I can do this, but...please tell me there is some way I can do this for multiple documents at the same time. Attempting to do this one-by-one is a pain and I'm hoping for a better solution here.   • Need help with jQuery UI Accordion navigationFilter option

    I'm building an accordion for navigation. Each section of the accordion has a set of links. The firing code looks like this: $(document).ready(function() { $(".selector").accordion({ collapsible: true, active: false, navigation: true }); }); This all worked fine and dandy until one of the links in each set was edited to point to a single file, call it foo.html. So now if you navigate to foo.html, the location.href matches every section of the accordion (since each section has a link to it) and that opens all the sections, defeating the purpose of the accordion. So I'm pretty sure I need to use the navigationFilter option but I've googled the living hell out of it and haven't found any examples of how to build the function associated with it. Help me, Stack Overflow!

    Hi Step 1 I've two screens one is parent and the other one is child. On click of a button in the parent window the child popup will open. Step 2 On click of a button in child i'm displaying the html(viewsource) of parent window in a textbox(.net) and holding in a hidden variable hdnSource too. Step 3 I've 4 checkboxes in the child window. If the checkbox is not checked, then that part of html should be removed. eg: cbxPersonal, cbxProfessional if cbxProfessional is unchecked I should remove divProfessional from html which is in hdnSource and display in the textbox Can anyone help me to do the 3rd part of coding. Since the html is in the variable, I'm not able to find the div with document.getElementById

    I have serious trouble finding anything useful in Mongo documentation about dealing with embedded documents. Let's say I have a following schema: { _id: ObjectId, ... data: [ { _childId: ObjectId // let's use custom name so we can distinguish them ... } ] } What's the most efficient way to remove everything inside data for particular _id? What's the most efficient way to remove embedded document with particular _childId inside given _id? What's the performance here, can _childId be indexed in order to achieve logarithmic (or similar) complexity instead of linear lookup? If so, how? What's the most efficient way to insert a lot of (let's say a 1000) documents into data for given _id? And like above, can we get O(n log n) or similar complexity with proper indexing? What's the most efficient way to get the count of documents inside data for given _id?

  • jQuery-ajax call: async property is not working?

    Hi, given to certain circumstances, I'm forced to keep page settings (Javascript-values) in the session and it has to be done right before leaving the page (I can't use cookies, since "pageSettings" can become quite large and localStorage is not an option yet ;) ). So this is how I tried it. I want some basic features such as : Ability to Write Loops (with any IEnumerable) Passing Variables Passing Templates Files (main template, footer, header) I'll use this to generate reports in HTML and XML. I'm not looking for a ASP.NET Template Engine. This is for a WinForms applications. I've seen this question http://stackoverflow.com/questions/340095/can-you-recommend-a-net-template-engine, however all of those template engines are total overkill for me and focused for ASP.NET. Please only recommend free libraries. // I'm still looking an NVelocity but it doesn't look any promising for .NET, overly complicated, when you download it's bunch of files not clear what to do, no tutorial, startup document etc.

    To build a HTML table I use direct DOM instead of a predefined Widget to set thead and tbody. But when I insert a cell with the insertCell() method GWT inserts an td element but should insert an th element. So TableElement table = Document.get().createTableElement(); TableSectionElement thead = table.createTHead(); TableRowElement headRow = thead.insertRow(-1); headRow.insertCell(-1).setInnerText( "header1" ); gives table/thead/tr/td but should give table/thead/tr/th Any idea how to solve this problem? Use the "old-school" DOM.createXXX()-Methods?

  • How to organize XIB files with many overlapping elements?

    I have some XIB files which are very difficult to edit because many of the subviews overlap each other completely. For example, if I position a popup volume slider where it will pop up, it covers some UILabels which become impossible to click. My only chance to be able to edit them is to double-click on them in the Document window tree, move them aside, edit, then move them back. Sometimes there are 3 or more widgets that occupy the same location in the XIB, even though only a few are visible at a time while the application is running. How are conditionally-visible screen elements actually supposed to be organized? I would like to be able to hide groups of views to reveal what's beneath them, but I don't see a way to do that in IB. If I create UIViewControllers for every group, I can edit them in separate windows, but I can't see them in context, and I need a lot of view controllers...

  • Pylons and Pisa (xhtml2pdf): blank page in IE

    I'm using pylons to serve a dynamically generated pdf document for reporting: my approach works in firefox & chrome (it displays the pdf inline if the plugin is available or otherwise downloads it) but IE (7 & 8) only show a blank page and doesn't prompt for download. IE correctly shows PDFs generated by other websites, though. Don't know if it matters but the page is accessed through HTTPS. My controller does the following: renders the source page through mako converts the html to pdf using pisa adds these headers to the response: Content-type: application/pdf and Content-disposition: inline; filename=file.pdf Do you have any suggestion? I seem to be stuck and cannot think of anything else to try.

  • ASP.NET: How to specify which button should defaultly react for an Enter press?

    I have a webpage where there are two buttons and a textbox. When the page loads and user presses enter, the first button is clicked - and that is ok. I would like to assure that if user enters the textBox and types anything there and THEN presses enter, the second button is clicked. When I enter the textBox I can tell that the first button will be used when I press enter, because it is a bit dark-blue-bordered then. I tried javascript's if (event && event.keyCode == 13) document.getElementById("Button2").click(); but it somehow doesn't work. So my second thought was that there must be a possibility to tell the browser which button should defaultly react for an enter press when I'm in a specific textBox (the dark-blue-bordered button). Edit: it might matter that first button is input and the second one is asp:Button

  • Intellisense for Javascript - not correct in Visual Studio 2008/2010

For example, I can wire onMouseDown to the mouse down event, the issue is that Visual Studio does not display this in the Intellisense. I'm trying something such as: obj.onmousedown = mousestatus; Based on a book I'm reading, the code is valid (at least it works) therefore I see no reason why Intellisense is not picking it up. I've tried this on both a standalone Javascript file, as well as an MVC project to no luck. Is there anything I'm doing wrong - or is there a way to resolve this?

  • Why would LaTeX ignore the font size in the documentclass

    I have a LaTeX file. I'm experimenting with trying to reduce the font size (this is related to my other question here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2636647/latex-changing-the-font-size-for-a-document-but-in-the-preamble-not-the-docum ). The LaTeX file is generated from another programme. I have edited it to start with \documentclass[4pt,a4paper,english]{report} i.e. I am trying to make the text really small. However it doesn't work. I change that 4pt to anything and the font size is the same. When running pdflatex on it, I get this message printed out. LaTeX Warning: Unused global option(s): [4pt]. That might explain why the error message is What could be going on here? How do I make it use the font size in the documentclass definition?

I also wanted to add that I can't have multiple forms on my website as it disrupts the loginview. So my 2 seperate 'forms' are really just a loginview and then an asp:textbox and asp:button by themselves without a form.

In particular, this is google recaptcha. This is my code: Recaptcha.create("[my private key]", "recaptchaDiv", { theme: "clean", callback: Recaptcha.ToTest }); And it doesn't work (I see nothing). What I know: trying on FF console: $("#recaptchaDiv").html() - it shows the expected html code, I just can't see it in the browser What I tried: to move recaptchaDiv outside of the template and it works: I can see the captcha in the browser to bind recaptchaDiv on html property: in the template: <div id="recaptchaDiv" data-bind="html: recaptcha"></div> in the model: Recaptcha.create("[my private key]", "recaptchaDiv", { theme: "clean", callback: Recaptcha.ToTest }); recaptcha($("#recaptchaDiv").html()); and it doesn't work (replacing jquery on document.getElementById doesn't help) Any help will be very much appreciated!!!     I have an input text box for search of input, the id of the text box is: id="search". if a user enters 'cat' at first and hit search. In the function, I get the value 'cat' by using the syntax: var input = document.getElementById("search").value; After that, the user enter 'dog' in the search box and hit search using the same function. The function would assign 'dog' to the input variable. How would I compare the current value (dog) to the previously entered value (cat)? I have tried to assign the original input with a statement, something like var orig = input; but that would only overwrite the original input with the new input. What is the logical approach to this problem.

    Can a bookmarklet be used to overlay an image on a web page? Not as a pop-up, but as a image positioned by CSS and with a high z-index to display on top of other elements. And without a mask i.e., Shadowbox or similar jQuery effect. Just an image from a URL and positioned in the bottom left hand corner of the browser window.
