    I created my own custom date picker consisting of an ASP TextBox, Button, and Calendar complete with CSS styles, javascript code, and event handling vb code. I want to use this date picker multiple times on my form. I know the wrong way to do this would be to copy all the code and just adjust each name accordingly. How can I put those controls, styles, and code into a single entity?

  • jquery getting post action url

    I'm trying to access the post target action in a jquery function. example: <form action="/page/users" id="signup" method="post"> I'd like to access the "action" part - "/page/users" in this case. $('#signup').live("submit", function(event) { // get this submitted action } Seems like I'm missing something very simple.     I am porting some functionality from a C++ application to java. This involves reading non-modifiable data files that contain regular expressions. A lot of the data files contain regular expressions that look similar to the following: (?<=id="VIEWSTATE".*?value=").*?(?=") These regular expressions produce the following error: "Look-behind group does not have an obvious maximum length near index XX" In C++ the engine being used supported these expressions. Is there another form of regexp that can produce the same result that can be generated using expressions like my example as input?

    A feature of a forms based application I am developing allows the user to search through a history of records. The user can search by name, by number, and between dates, and populate the results in a datagridview control. However, as the form will be used to search for previous records. The ability for the user to select future dates is not required. Is there a way to prevent the user from selecting future dates, or even grey the future dates out?

    Anyone know the right places to hook into ghostscript, so that when interpreting a ps file, I can get logs of all calls of the form: draw_character(float x, float y, string font_name, int char_id); ?   • .NET WinForms INotifyPropertyChanged updates all bindings when one is changed. Better way?

    In a windows forms application, a property change that triggers INotifyPropertyChanged, will result in the form reading EVERY property from my bound object, not just the property changed. (See example code below) This seems absurdly wasteful since the interface requires the name of the changing property. It is causing a lot of clocking in my app because some of the property getters require calculations to be performed. I'll likely need to implement some sort of logic in my getters to discard the unnecessary reads if there is no better way to do this. Am I missing something? Is there a better way? Don't say to use a different presentation technology please -- I am doing this on Windows Mobile (although the behavior happens on the full framework as well). Here's some toy code to demonstrate the problem.     I am new to programming PHP and am trying to validate a field in a form. The field if for a RAL color code and so would look something like : RAL 1001. so the letters RAL and then 4 numbers. Can someone help me set them into a regular expression to validate them. i have tried this with no success: $string_exp = "/^[RAL][0-9 .-]+$/i"; What can I say but sorry for being a complete NOOB at PHP.
