  • JQuery:FullCalendar Plugin: Events are not shown in week view and day view but are shown in month vi

    I've the following code to fetch events: $('#calendar').fullCalendar({ theme: true, slotMinutes: 10, header: { left: 'prev,next today', center: 'title', right: 'month,agendaWeek,agendaDay', }, defaultView: 'agendaDay', allDaySlot: false, editable: false, events: "/cgi-bin/shlk/getshlkruns.pl" }); The output from getshlkruns.pl is fairly simple json feed: [{'title': 'Successful','start': 1266398223,'end': 1266398266,'url': '/shlk/cgi-bin/getshlkrunlog.pl?i=21'}] There are several events like above (i've removed for brevity sake). So the above events show up when am in the month view but mysteriously absent when am in week or day view. What am doing wrong here? Thanks in advance for your answers.

    I'm loading an image exteranlly via ajax like so... function load_image(image_href) { var img = new Image(); $(img).load(function () { $(this).hide(); $('#a_box').append(this); $(this).fadeIn(); }, gallery_image_load_complete() ).error(function () { }).attr('src', image_href); } function gallery_image_load_complete() { conslole.log('complete') $('#a_box img').height(); //wrong numbers, as though the image is partially loaded $('#a_box img').width(); //wrong numbers } The problem is I'm trying to get the loaded image's height and width inside the function gallery_image_load_complete(). For some reason, this image height and width are off, it's astohugh the image hasn't fully loaded. Can someone help me out please?

  • How to only fade content once it is ready in Jquery?

    Hello, I've seen examples for load() and ready(), but they always seem to apply to the window or document body, or a div or img or something like that. I have a hover() function, and when you hover over it, it uses fadeIn() to reveal it. Problem is, the images inside the div aren't loaded yet, so it ends up just appearing anyway. I need code that will only allow the image to fade when it's contents are fully loaded.     Hi All, In my joomla project(http://crystalwrightlive.com) home page there is one sliding banner section, but this banner not working in IE browser (working fine in FF browser) and showing following error: Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; GTB6; InfoPath.2) Timestamp: Sat, 8 May 2010 06:42:15 UTC Message: Object doesn't support this property or method Line: 1 Char: 1 Code: 0 URI: http://crystalwrightlive.com/index.php In index page included a jquery file: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js when i removed this JS file, no error but this JQuery file needed for this sliding banner.   • Why is there a time lag when trying to change the text on a button in IE using JQuery?

    I have some Ajax that runs on a button click. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to return, so I wanted a visual clue to the user that the browser was doing something. So, I have this: $('#SubmitButton').attr("value", "Working..."); $('#SubmitButton').attr("disabled", true); //Synchronous Ajax call goes here $('#SubmitButton').attr("value", "Submit"); $('#SubmitButton').attr("disabled", false); As you can see, it changes the text on the button, and disables it. When the Ajax call comes back (it's synchronous, remember), the button changes back. In Firefox, this works great. In IE, it's...odd. It doesn't run the code in order. It doesn't change the text of the button and launches right into the Ajax call. The browser blocks with the Submit active and saying "Submit." Right after the Ajax comes back, the button quickly flashes "Working..." then back to Submit." So, for some reason, IE isn't changing the text of the button until after the Ajax call, even though the code for it is before the Ajax call. It's acting like this: //Synchronous Ajax call goes here $('#SubmitButton').attr("value", "Working..."); $('#SubmitButton').attr("disabled", true); $('#SubmitButton').attr("value", "Submit"); $('#SubmitButton').attr("disabled", false); Again, this works perfectly in Firefox. But in IE, there's some kind of...lag?

    I'm making a webpage using CherryPy for the server-side, HTML, CSS and jQuery on the client-side. I'm also using a mySQL database. I have a working form for users to sign up to the site - create a username and password. I use jQuery to send an AJAX POST request to the CherryPy which queries the database to see if that username exists. If the username exists, alert the user, if it doesn't, add it to the database and alert success. $.post('submit', postdata, function(data) { alert(data); }); Successful jQuery POST. I want to change the form so that instead of checking that the username exists on submit, a GET request is made as on the blur event from the username input. The function gets called, and it goes to the CherryPy, but then I get an error that says: HTTPError: (404, 'Missing parameters: username'). $.get('checkUsername', getdata, function(data) { alert(data); }); Unsuccessful jQuery GET.     Hi all - when I look up the syntax for .data(), it gives examples like this: $('body').data('foo', 52); I am doing AJAX loads and I was wondering if it is possible to store the incoming html using .data() so once the content is loaded, I would not need to do another AJAX load if the same link is clicked again - I would check to see if the .data key is empty. Would something like this work?: To load the contents of a #ajaxdiv into storage: $('body').data('storage', div#ajaxdiv.html()); To test if the data has already been loaded: if $('body').data('storage') != '' { div#ajaxdiv.html($('body').data('storage')); } Thanks in advance!!   • Javascript scope problem with object and setTimeout

    I'm trying to make a jQuery plugin that executes a method on a timer. I'd like it to work on multiple elements on a page independently. I've reached a point where the timer executes for each element, but the method called in the setTimeout seems to only know about the last instance of the plugin. I know I'm doing something fundamentally stupid here, but I'm danged if I know what. I know stuff like this has been asked 8 million times on here before, but I've not managed to find an answer that relates to my specific problem.
