Building MobileVLCKit from git.videolan.org repository on macOsX with XCode

I would like to make an application for iOS(iPhone and iPad) that can play streaming videos through RTSP protocol (that includes mms). I imagined to achive a specified application using VLC player or libVLC library. On the official vlc git repository (http://git.videolan.org/?p=vlc.git;a=tree) in projects/macosx/framework/ folder there is xcode project MobileVLCKit.xcodeproj for which I assume that is a somewhat usable VLC framework for iOS. Now the problem is that I can't/don't know how to build this project. When I try to build MobileVLCKit.xcodeproj I get an error that says it can't find files inside extras/contrib/hosts/i686-apple-darwin10/ios/ folder. I have looked within that folder (extras/contrib) and managed to create folder (with files) extras/contrib/hosts/i686-apple-darwin10/ with make, but there is no ios folder. So, does anybody knows how to successfully build MobileVLCKit?

building mono from svn - android target

There were patches made to mono on trunk svn to support android. My understanding is that essentially instead of Koush's system which builds mono using the android NDK build system directly, these patches add support for the android NDK using the regular mono configure.sh process. I'd like to play around with this patch, but not being an expert in the mono build system, I have no idea how to tell it to target the android NDK, or even where to look. I've been able to build mono from SVN using the default target (linux) on Ubuntu, but no documentation on how to target android was given with the patches. Since anyone not submitting or reviewing a patch is generally ignored on the mono mailing list, I figured I'd post the question here.

drupal's hook_preprocess_page not working as expected

i am having an issue where hook_preprocess_page 's changes to &$variables is not being rendered, even though it is the last item under $theme_registry['page']['preprocess functions']. logging contents of $variables to a file show the contents changed, but contents appear unchanged on the site. flushed all cache on drupal, flushed all browser caches and still the same result. /** * Implementation of hook_preprocess_page(). */ function grinchlist_preprocess_page(&$variables) { if (grinchlist_usercheck($variables['user']['uid'])) { $variables['scripts'] = preg_replace('/<script[^>]*christmas_snow.*<\/script>/','',$variables['scripts']); } file_put_contents('/tmp/vars.txt',print_r($variables,true)); } the /tmp/vars.txt shows the variables properly, but the browser still show the script being loaded. this may be a silly example, but i've had this issue with the hook_preprocess_page in other instances and it would really help out to understand what is going on here... thanks.

Preload Images with javascript

Here is my preload script: <script type="text/javascript"> Image_1 = new Image(1,1); Image_1.src = "images/sprites.png"; </script> And it works fine. I can see in the headers the image loading. Here's my question. Even though I have preloaded sprites.png, I notice that when I go to a page on my site that simply displays that entire image, the headers tell me my browser is requesting the server to send the image again. I'm hoping to not sound too naive. But, why would the browser request the image when I preloaded it earlier? Are there other reasons the browser would need to re-request? Also, I put the dimensions as Image(1,1). Sometimes I don't know the dimensions, as that image gets updated from time to time. Maybe that's a reason?

Does a recursive Ant task exist to recover properties from external file?

Hi, I ve got a problem in getting properties with ant from a properties file. With a simple target like this in my build.xml, i'd like to get at least two properties path1 and path2. I'd like to have a generic target to get this two properties.... in order to avoid modifying the build.xml (just adding a new prop) Any suggestions? Setting amount of time to pass when sending emails in a loop

Forgive me for this noob question, but is there such a setting that sets a certain amount of time (e.g. milli/seconds) that has to pass in between sending emails through a script? How is that setting called and where do I change that setting? I'll give an example: I used to have a PHP script that sends emails like so: for ($i=0; $i<count($emails); $i++) { mail($email[$i],'test','test'); } It turned out that not all emails were sent successfully because the script ran so fast that there was not enough time in between sending emails that was required by the server. Did I make sense?

ASP.NET MVC Ajax OnBegin/Complete Javascript Problem

Hello, I am trying to fire off a javascript method using the OnBegin AjaxOption in an Ajax method. However, when debugging with firebug the callback in unable to find the Javascript method and I do not know why. My code is simple, first I use a basic Ajax method like this: <%= Ajax.ActionLink("Testing", "Testing", new AjaxOptions { OnBegin = "RunThisThing" }) % Then under it I decalre this script. <script type="text/javascript"> function RunThisThing { alert("WORK") } </script> Yet when I try running the page and clicking on the link, Firebug tells me "RunThisThing is not defined". Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Removing zombie locks in Subversion

I'm trying to find a way to remove zombie locks using the Subversion command line tools. The eventual goal is to do this from a hook script, but I haven't been able to work out the command line to use when you only have a physical repository path. (Using svnadmin rmlocks only seems to work for locks which exist in the HEAD revision.) Ideally, I'd like to do this via the post-commit hook script using the command line tools. (I'm aware of the python script for this purpose, but we'd prefer not to install python on that server for this single use.) We're a .NET shop, so creating a tool with the SharpSVN library is also a possibility, but the only unlock capability there appears to be in the SVNClient class. So it's really two questions: Is there a way to do this with the command line tools? If not, is there a way to do it from SharpSVN? (Or perhaps another library?)

I want a build rule to be triggered by an include directive if the target of the include is out of date or doesn't exist. In the Script documents that asp.net automatically generates how can I surround the whole generated scripts with try/catch statement to avoid 'Microsoft JScript Compilation error' My issue is: i got a DevExpress control (ASPxGridView) that added and set-up in run time, since i activated the grouping functionality in the grid I still get JS error says ';' expected whenever i use (click) on one of grouping/sorting abilities, I activated script Debugging for IE, in the JS code turns out that there is no missing ';' and once i click ignore for the error msg that VS generates every thing works fine, and surly end-user can't see this msg so i figured out if i try/catch the script that may help avoid this error. Eclipse and Cassandra

I've searched various websites for instructions on how to link 'Cassandra' and 'Eclipse' and followed directions to the last detail in several sites. For some reason, while using Git Bash, I cant get through the 'ant build', via instruction in said mentioned locations across the web. In some location's its easy, just make sure you have; 1. Apache Cassandra source 2. Apache Ant 3. Git So, yeah I've downloaded all the above, tried the same directory, different directories, etc., although still unable to get past the middle step of 'ant build'. Here are a few websites I've used to muddle through setting up the Src code for both utilities, 'Eclipse' and 'Cassandra'. http://uisurumadushanka89.blogspot.com/2012/02/apache-cassandra-how-to-setup-source.html and http://wiki.apache.org/cassandra/RunningCassandraInEclipse both resulting in an immediate halt at the 'ant build'. any insights are information is greatly appreciated. How to remove svn folders over FTP

Hi there, I've accidentally copied a large part of a folder tree from my SVN working copy to my shared Windows web host via FTP. The site is now littered with .svn directories and and I need some way of cleaning them. The only access I have to the server is via FTP, or by running a script on the server. Does any one have a script which can be run remotely to remove the files over FTP (any language Windows/Linux is fine) or a script in ASP, ASP.net or PHP I can run directly on the server to remove these directories? Hi, I am using a simple script on my PHP webpage to decode and output JSON as text. However, what ever I try I can't get it to wordwrap the output. $file = file_get_contents('sample.txt'); $out = (json_decode($file)); echo $out->mainText; How can I get this script to wordwrap at 600 characters without chopping words in half? Problem with CruiseControl.net configuration

Hi I started using ccnet to build my project. This is quite new issue for me so I have some problems. First thing: Why does ccnet copy directory with my project to another directory (ccnet creates new folder named the same as project name included in ccnet.config file and copies to them directory with my project) Second thing: Dashboard page cannot show reports for recent build (When I click on any item in recent build then I get page: "The page Cannot be found" I suppose that page cannot link files with logs. but I don't know how to link it. I create one publisher: <publishers> <xmllogger logDir="c:\Branches" /> Can anyone help me?

Killing a program if it displays a dialog box (devenv.com running under CruiseControl.net)

I have CruiseControl.net running Visual Studio (2005/2008 - using devenv.com) as we need to build deployment projects (.vdproj). At times, for various reasons devenv decides that even though it was run from the command line, using the devenv.com varient, it still wants to put up a dialog box. Now, as it's running under CruiseControl.net on a remote server this is never seen and the only syptom of this is that the build eventually times out. When the build is still in progress a look at the tasks shows devenv running but not consuming any processor power. Is there a handy utility through which could run devenv.com which basically watches the program it starts up and basically kills it if it dares to display a dialog box of any kind?

AutoKey - clipboard.get_selection() function fails on certain strings

I've simplified my script so you can focus on the essence my problem. In AutoKey (not AutoHotKey), I made a Hot-Key (shift-alt-T) that performs this script on any string I have highlighted (like in gedit for example -- but any other gui editor too). strSelectedText = clipboard.get_selection() keyboard.send_keys(" " + strSelectedText) The script modifies the highlighted text and adds a space to the beginning of the string. It works for most strings I highlight, but not this one: * Copyright © 2008–2012 Lonnie Best. Licensed under the MIT License. It works for this string: * Add a Space 2.0.1 but not on this one: * Add a Space 2.0.1 – At the python command prompt, it has no problem any of those strings, yet the clipboard.get_selection() function seems to get corrupted by them. I'm rather new to python scripting, so I'm not sure if this is an AutoKey bug, or if I'm missing some knowledge I should know about encoding/preparing strings in python. Please help. I'm doing this on Ubuntu 12.04: sudo apt-get install autokey-qt

Install .exe software application on remote machines.

Hi, I modified this script from the net, which is suppose to install .exe applications for remote machines: $m = Read-Host "Enter machine name" $File = "c:\temp\office2007sp2-kb958194-fullfile-en-us.exe" $product = [WMICLASS]"\$m\ROOT\CIMV2:win32_Process" $product.Create($File) When I run this script, I have noticed that this program promptly creates a process in the remote machine with the application name office2007sp2-kb958194-fullfile-en-us.exe. This can be checked in the task manager also. But other than that, there is no way to find out if this is getting installed in the remote machine or not. Is there a way to find out, if the installation is really happening? Or does this script actually works? Any help will be great! Reagrds Arindam

VSS: How do I recover from "File <foo> has been destroyed, and cannot be rebuilt."?

We're running Visual SourceSafe 6.0 (build 8163). In one project, there's an old label I want to do a Get on, but a few files have been added and destroyed since that label was created. Now everytime I try to do a Get on the label - for each destroyed file - I get the warning "File has been destroyed and cannot be rebuilt, do you want to continue?", (which seems completely stupid, since the destroyed files never existed before the label was set). I've tried adding files with the same name, but that didn't help. I also tried deleting (not destroying) those added files, but that didn't help either. I really want to be rid of the warning, since the home-cooked building app we use to build all the projects doesn't handle this error/warning, and hence can't Get the label requested and build that project. Help! (and no, running VSS is not by choice, trust me, I was hoping never to see it again after the first time I was forced to use it, which was ten years ago)

Find workspace location using ANT

I'm working on a build script in the Flash Builder version of Eclipse. This build script needs to import launch configuration .launch files into the user's workspace. However there doesn't seem to be an available ANT var for determining the workspace location. While stepping through the available vars with intellisense I noticed that ${osgi.instance.area} does point to my current workspace but when I tried to echo it back in a running ant script it just spat out "${osgi.instance.area}" and not the path. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!
