  I'm using Susbsonic 3 with the LINQ templates. I've already added a column called 'ID' to my Articles table. When I try to insert a row using the following code var db = new LDB(); int newID = db.Insert.Into<ArticlesTable> ( x => x.Description ).Values( "TestDescription" ).Execute(); I get the following error message Can't decide which property to consider the Key - you can create one called 'ID' or mark one with SubSonicPrimaryKey attribute Any clue on what I'm doing wrong?

  Hi, I am using paypal standard as my payment gateway. My problem is that, in Paypal Standard payment method, I have done my code as below: When user click on return to merchant button from paypal then user return to the site with order data , and on that page my order entry will be inserted in my DB. So my problem occur when someone pays but don't click on return to merchant link. So in this case customer gets paid, but due to no entry my DB its not working proper. Hope I am clear to all. However, if I put www.domain2.com, everything works fine. I don't see any difference between two VirtualHost config block, so I wonder what does make the difference. • Calling one DAO from another DAO?

  Can this ever make sense? Say I need to fetch an object from the DB which has a relation to another object (represented by a foreign key in the DB, and by a composition in my domain object). If in my first DAO I fetch the data for object 1, then call the dao for object 2, and finally (from within the first DAO, call the setter in object 1 and give it the previously fetched object 2). I know I could do a join instead, but it just seems more logical to me to decouple the functionality (which is why I am skeptical about calling one dao from another). Or should I move some of the logic to the service layer? Thanks Update: I think I solved the problem with help from the answers: all I needed to do was add the following to my mapping of Object 1: <one-to-one name="Object2" fetch="join" class="com...Object2"></one-to-one> I didn't have to change anything else.   I need to work with an old repository, whose db/format contains 2 From this question, I understand that this means it's version 1.4. I have only 1.5 executables, which produce a db/format containing 3 layout sharded 1000 I've tried to use the 1.5 svnadmin to verify the 1.4 repo, but it fails with 'vnadmin: Unknown FS type 'fsfs If anyone's got any ideas on how to fix this, that'd be great. My current working plan is to obtain 1.4 executables. The problem I have is that I've done a fair amount of searching, and I can't find any SubVersion 1.4 executable downloads. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Because if I delete it, the code that call this method cannot use the IQueryable (perhaps because of deferred execution?). How to force immediate execution to this method? So I can dispose the data context.. Thank you :D

  While trying to learn Unity, I keep seeing the following code for overriding GetControllerInstance in MVC: if(!typeof(IController).IsAssignableFrom(controllerType)) { ... } this seems to me a pretty convoluted way of basically writing if(controllerType is IController) { ... } I appreciate there are subtle differences between is and IsAssignableFrom, ie IsAssignableFrom doesn't include cast conversions, but I'm struggling to understand the implication of this difference in practical scenarios. When is it imporantant to choose IsAssignableFrom over is?   After a TimeMachine restore; Office 2011 is having kittens over permissions it would seem. Having attempted a 'repair' out of Disk Utility, am still seeing: there is a problem with the Office database upon startup, after which Word/Excel work without issues. Outlook on the other hand won't even start. Given the obvious message here "You do not have write access to the Outlook application folder" – where is the DB located to check?

I am trying to make this idea work in my own application, but the data appears to be cached by the views, and the app continues to show data from the database that was replaced, even after I call cleanup() and reopen the database. I have to terminate and restart the activity in order to see the new data. I tried to call invalidate on my TabHost view, which pretty much contains everything. I thought that the views would redraw and refresh their underlying data, but this did also not have the expected result. I ended up restarting the activity programmatically, which works, but this seems to be a drastic measure. Is there a better way?

The problem is i get only contacts i created myself using no syncAdapter. I used facebook app to synch my facebook contacts, but this query doesn't return them. I extracted the contacts2.db from the emulator and the view_contacts view shows me all the contacts, so the DB is updated. What should i do to get all the contacts regardless of how they were created (with which synch adapter)

  I have 2 databases with a 2 tables with HierachyID fields. For one database I can get a dal cs file, for the other database I cannot get a dal cs file ? HBus is a database I can get the dal cs for, ... • How to solve rake tasks deprecation on the rails plugin?

  Because of the concept introduced in here, Rails::Plugin is nothing more than a Rails::Engine, but since it's loaded too late in the boot process, it does not have the same configuration powers as a bare Rails::Engine. Opposite to Rails::Railtie and Rails::Engine, you are not supposed to inherit from Rails::Plugin. Rails::Plugin is automatically configured to be an engine by simply placing inside vendor/plugins. Since this is done automatically, you actually cannot declare a Rails::Engine inside your Plugin, otherwise it would cause the same files to be loaded twice. This means that if you want to ship an Engine as gem it cannot be used as plugin and vice-versa. Besides this conceptual difference, the only difference between Rails::Engine and Rails::Plugin is that plugins automatically load the file "init.rb" at the plugin root during the boot process. rake tasks in the rails plugins are deprecated and it is advised to use lib/tasks instead. How to solve this? Can I just simply move the plugin's tasks to the lib/tasks?

  Trying to find some key+click combination to bring all windows for a given application to the top of z-order. For example, I have several Putty terminal windows open in the stacked taskbar icon and I want to display all of them, not just the last used. The only work-around I have found so far is to shift+right-click and "minimize all windows" followed by "restore all windows". Any simpler way to do this?
