  • jQuery reference to (this) does not work?

    I have this href link with text either "attivo" or "non attivo" User can set the item to 'active' or 'closed' in the database with an ajax request $.post() I have 2 questions for these: I can't get the reference to $(this) to work.. I tried it with a normal link and it works, but not wrapped in if/else?? How can I prevent the user from clicking more than one time on the link and submitting several request? Is this a valid concern? Do I need some sort of a small timer or something? First I was thinking about a javascript confirm message, but that's pretty annoying for this function..     Hello, Can I pass some Javascript to a function and then execute that Javascript from within the function, e.g. test("a = 1; b = 2; test2(a,b);"); function test(js) { // execute dynamically generated JS here. } Basically I have some code that is generated on the server and I want to pass that code to a JS function which when it has finished processing it executes the code passed as a parameter. This could also be useful for the parameter of setTimeout, then the code passed could be executed in the timeout event. Can this be done?

  • How to read & write contents of a div from localstorage in chrome extensions?

    I am trying to build an extension that will allow users to put some parameters into a text box in the popup, generate a link using that information and add it to the said popup. I have all that working, but needless to say, it gets flushed every time the user opens the extension anew. I'd like the info that has been put in there to stay, but can't seem to get it to work.     Hi, This is my doubt on what we regard as a "unit" while unit-testing. say I have a method like this, public String myBigMethod() { String resultOne = moduleOneObject.someOperation(); String resultTwo = moduleTwoObject.someOtherOperation(resultOne); return resultTwo; } ( I have unit-tests written for someOperation() and someOtherOperation() seperately ) and this myBigMethod() kinda integrates ModuleOne and ModuleTwo by using them as above, then, is the method "myBigMethod()" still considered as a "unit" ? Should I be writing a test for this "myBigMethod()" ? Say I have written a test for myBigMethod()... If testSomeOperation() fails, it would also result in testMyBigMethod() to fail... Now testMyBigMethod()'s failure might show a not-so-correct-location of the bug. One-Cause causing two tests to fail doesn't look so good to me. But donno if there's any better way...? Is there ? Thanks !

    I'm just about finished my first release of automailer, a program I've been working on for a while now. I've just got to finish writing the installer. Its job is to rewrite the codigniter configs from templates. I've got the read/write stuff working, but I'd like to be able to test the server credentials given by the user without codingiter throwing a system error if they're wrong. Is there a function other than mysql_connect that I can use to test a connection that will return true or false and won't make codeigniter have a fit?

    I am getting this error when I pass an invalid SQL string... I spent the last hour trying to find the problem assuming - It's not my SQL it must be the db handle... ANyway, I've now figured out that it was bad SQL... What I want to do is test the result of the mysql_query() for a valid resultset. I am simply using empty($result)... Is this the most effective test? Is there a more widely accepted method of testing a resultset for a valid result?

  • Memory is leaked only in some machines.

    We've got a situation where our application is leaking memory while doing some periodic action. The test scenario is composed of a series of processes across two relatively complex WPF windows. The weird thing about the situation is that memory only gets leaked on SOME machines, while others, having exactly the same hardware, can be working for really long times (repeating the process every minute) having their memory almost unchanged (once the GC gets rid of used memory, etc). This is .NET + WPF. Any ideas about where to start looking? What can cause leaks in only some machines? (we're talking about a 30 machine test scenario). I have few experience with WPF, could the graphic card had anything to do with it?

If it returns 0 rows, I want next line to be something like: if (!$result) { //do this; } However, in my test, I am getting false when I know it should be true. Is this sound logic here? (note, yes I know I should be using mysqli_query, that is not what I am asking here)

However, it would be nice to know the actual logic behind it. Anyone care to explain?

Currently I have the following action defined: <action name="printTest" class="MyClass" > <result name="error">/WEB-INF/jsp/error.jsp</result> <result name="input">/WEB-INF/jsp/test.jsp</result> <result name="success">/WEB-INF/jsp/test.jsp</result> </action> If the user types URL "/app/printtest.do" instead of "/app/printtest.do" this action is not executed. Other then mod_rewrite on the httpd level or something like that, the only option that I know about right now is simply adding the same exact action and changing the name to "printtest". Ideally it would be a simple config change to struts.xml

    I have a php file with an xml header and xml code, named test.php. How do I load this file as an xml?     All, i have a problem with hibernate using netbean platform 6.8, i have been search around internet, but cannot found the suitable answer This is my story. i am using oracle database as data source of my hibernate entity with ojdbc14.jar driver. First i create hibernate entity tobe wrapped latter in a netbeans module, i tested the hibernate connection configuration and everything just works well. i can connect to oracle database successfuly, every hibernate query works well. Then i wrapped that hibernate entity jar as a netbeans module, create another module to warp my ojdbc14.jar then i test it. and, im using hibernate library dependency that available on netbean platform (netbean 6.8), but unfutornatelly i got oracle sql error saying “no suitable driver for [connection url]” when running the project. thats quite weird since it doesn’t happend when I test it before with out netbean platform. i thought that is related to netbeans lazy loading issue, i am not sure,. any idea ? tq for help

    I'm using an INSERT ON DUPLICATE KEY statement for my website. It's for creating news items, so I figured I could use the same MySQL command for both creating and updating news items. However, when I use the following: INSERT INTO table (id,title,content) VALUES(NULL,"Test","Test"); Instead of creating a new auto increment value it throws an error. However, the command works on my main development server. But not on my laptop. Both versions of MySQL are the same, the only difference being MySQL was installed manually on my server, and with WAMP on my laptop. Are there any MySQL Variables that could be causing this?
