  • .gitignore does not understand my folder wildcard on windows

    - by Martin Aatmaa
    I'm encountering a weird issue with .gitignore on Windows. I want git to ignore all .exe files, except those in the Dependencies folder (and all subfolders). So I have: .gitignore: *.exe !/Dependencies/**/*.exe This, unfortunately, does not work. Meanwhile, this does: *.exe !/Dependencies/folder/subfolder/*.exe So I'm wondering, am I messing something up, or is this some kind of bug? I'm running msysgit on Windows (Windows 7 x64) version 1.6.5.1-preview20091022 Thanks in advance for any input :)

  • What approach to take for SIMD optimizations

    - by goldenmean
    Hi, I am trying to optimize below code for SIMD operations (8way/4way/2way SIMD whiechever possible and if it gives gains in performance) I am tryin to analyze it first on paper to understand the algorithm used. How can i optimize it for SIMD:- void idct(uint8_t *dst, int stride, int16_t *input, int type) { int16_t *ip = input; uint8_t *cm = ff_cropTbl + MAX_NEG_CROP; int A, B, C, D, Ad, Bd, Cd, Dd, E, F, G, H; int Ed, Gd, Add, Bdd, Fd, Hd; int i; /* Inverse DCT on the rows now */ for (i = 0; i < 8; i++) { /* Check for non-zero values */ if ( ip[0] | ip[1] | ip[2] | ip[3] | ip[4] | ip[5] | ip[6] | ip[7] ) { A = M(xC1S7, ip[1]) + M(xC7S1, ip[7]); B = M(xC7S1, ip[1]) - M(xC1S7, ip[7]); C = M(xC3S5, ip[3]) + M(xC5S3, ip[5]); D = M(xC3S5, ip[5]) - M(xC5S3, ip[3]); Ad = M(xC4S4, (A - C)); Bd = M(xC4S4, (B - D)); Cd = A + C; Dd = B + D; E = M(xC4S4, (ip[0] + ip[4])); F = M(xC4S4, (ip[0] - ip[4])); G = M(xC2S6, ip[2]) + M(xC6S2, ip[6]); H = M(xC6S2, ip[2]) - M(xC2S6, ip[6]); Ed = E - G; Gd = E + G; Add = F + Ad; Bdd = Bd - H; Fd = F - Ad; Hd = Bd + H; /* Final sequence of operations over-write original inputs. */ ip[0] = (int16_t)(Gd + Cd) ; ip[7] = (int16_t)(Gd - Cd ); ip[1] = (int16_t)(Add + Hd); ip[2] = (int16_t)(Add - Hd); ip[3] = (int16_t)(Ed + Dd) ; ip[4] = (int16_t)(Ed - Dd ); ip[5] = (int16_t)(Fd + Bdd); ip[6] = (int16_t)(Fd - Bdd); } ip += 8; /* next row */ } ip = input; for ( i = 0; i < 8; i++) { /* Check for non-zero values (bitwise or faster than ||) */ if ( ip[1 * 8] | ip[2 * 8] | ip[3 * 8] | ip[4 * 8] | ip[5 * 8] | ip[6 * 8] | ip[7 * 8] ) { A = M(xC1S7, ip[1*8]) + M(xC7S1, ip[7*8]); B = M(xC7S1, ip[1*8]) - M(xC1S7, ip[7*8]); C = M(xC3S5, ip[3*8]) + M(xC5S3, ip[5*8]); D = M(xC3S5, ip[5*8]) - M(xC5S3, ip[3*8]); Ad = M(xC4S4, (A - C)); Bd = M(xC4S4, (B - D)); Cd = A + C; Dd = B + D; E = M(xC4S4, (ip[0*8] + ip[4*8])) + 8; F = M(xC4S4, (ip[0*8] - ip[4*8])) + 8; if(type==1){ //HACK E += 16*128; F += 16*128; } G = M(xC2S6, ip[2*8]) + M(xC6S2, ip[6*8]); H = M(xC6S2, ip[2*8]) - M(xC2S6, ip[6*8]); Ed = E - G; Gd = E + G; Add = F + Ad; Bdd = Bd - H; Fd = F - Ad; Hd = Bd + H; /* Final sequence of operations over-write original inputs. */ if(type==0){ ip[0*8] = (int16_t)((Gd + Cd ) >> 4); ip[7*8] = (int16_t)((Gd - Cd ) >> 4); ip[1*8] = (int16_t)((Add + Hd ) >> 4); ip[2*8] = (int16_t)((Add - Hd ) >> 4); ip[3*8] = (int16_t)((Ed + Dd ) >> 4); ip[4*8] = (int16_t)((Ed - Dd ) >> 4); ip[5*8] = (int16_t)((Fd + Bdd ) >> 4); ip[6*8] = (int16_t)((Fd - Bdd ) >> 4); }else if(type==1){ dst[0*stride] = cm[(Gd + Cd ) >> 4]; dst[7*stride] = cm[(Gd - Cd ) >> 4]; dst[1*stride] = cm[(Add + Hd ) >> 4]; dst[2*stride] = cm[(Add - Hd ) >> 4]; dst[3*stride] = cm[(Ed + Dd ) >> 4]; dst[4*stride] = cm[(Ed - Dd ) >> 4]; dst[5*stride] = cm[(Fd + Bdd ) >> 4]; dst[6*stride] = cm[(Fd - Bdd ) >> 4]; }else{ dst[0*stride] = cm[dst[0*stride] + ((Gd + Cd ) >> 4)]; dst[7*stride] = cm[dst[7*stride] + ((Gd - Cd ) >> 4)]; dst[1*stride] = cm[dst[1*stride] + ((Add + Hd ) >> 4)]; dst[2*stride] = cm[dst[2*stride] + ((Add - Hd ) >> 4)]; dst[3*stride] = cm[dst[3*stride] + ((Ed + Dd ) >> 4)]; dst[4*stride] = cm[dst[4*stride] + ((Ed - Dd ) >> 4)]; dst[5*stride] = cm[dst[5*stride] + ((Fd + Bdd ) >> 4)]; dst[6*stride] = cm[dst[6*stride] + ((Fd - Bdd ) >> 4)]; } } else { if(type==0){ ip[0*8] = ip[1*8] = ip[2*8] = ip[3*8] = ip[4*8] = ip[5*8] = ip[6*8] = ip[7*8] = ((xC4S4 * ip[0*8] + (IdctAdjustBeforeShift<<16))>>20); }else if(type==1){ dst[0*stride]= dst[1*stride]= dst[2*stride]= dst[3*stride]= dst[4*stride]= dst[5*stride]= dst[6*stride]= dst[7*stride]= cm[128 + ((xC4S4 * ip[0*8] + (IdctAdjustBeforeShift<<16))>>20)]; }else{ if(ip[0*8]){ int v= ((xC4S4 * ip[0*8] + (IdctAdjustBeforeShift<<16))>>20); dst[0*stride] = cm[dst[0*stride] + v]; dst[1*stride] = cm[dst[1*stride] + v]; dst[2*stride] = cm[dst[2*stride] + v]; dst[3*stride] = cm[dst[3*stride] + v]; dst[4*stride] = cm[dst[4*stride] + v]; dst[5*stride] = cm[dst[5*stride] + v]; dst[6*stride] = cm[dst[6*stride] + v]; dst[7*stride] = cm[dst[7*stride] + v]; } } } ip++; /* next column */ dst++; } }

  • Simple POST random number issue in PHP

    Ok I am trying to make something to ask you random multiplication questions. Now it asks the questions fine. Generates the random questions fine. But when it reloads the page the random numbers are different... how can I fix this? <?php $rndnum1 = rand(1, 12); $rndnum2 = rand(1, 12); echo "<h3>". $rndnum1 . " x "; echo $rndnum2 . "</h3>"; if($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] == "GET") { $answer=0; } else if($_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] == "POST") { $answer=trim($_POST["answerInput"]); $check=$rndnum1*$rndnum2; if($answer==$check) { echo "Correct!"; } else { echo "Wrong!"; } } ?> <form action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="post" > <table> <tr> <td> First Name:&nbsp; </td> <td> <input type="text" name="answerInput" value="<?php echo $answer; ?>" size="20"/> </td> <td> <?php echo $answerError; ?> </td> </tr> <tr> <td class="signupTd" colspan="2"> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Submit"/> </td> </tr> </table> </form>

  • Stock ticker symbol lookup API

    - by dancavallaro
    Is there any sort of API that just offers a simple symbol lookup service? i.e., input a company name and it will tell you the ticker symbol? I've tried just screen-scraping Google Finance, but after a little while it rate limits you and you have to enter a CAPTCHA. I'm trying to batch-lookup about 2000 ticker symbols. Any ideas?

  • Play an audio file using RemoteIO and Audio Unit

    - by NeilMonday
    I am looking at Apple's 'aurioTouch' example for the iPhone and I would like to play an mp3 or wav instead of using the built in mic. I am very new to the audio portion of iPhone programming, but I think I need to modify the SetupRemoteIO(...) function and replace the AudioComponent named 'comp' with a custom AudioComponent that plays a file. Basically I want the app to function exactly the same as the original, but with an audio file as the input instead of the mic.

  • Image rotation algorithm

    - by Stefano Driussi
    I'm looking for an algorithm that rotates an image by some degrees (input). public Image rotateImage(Image image, int degrees) (Image instances could be replaced with int[] containing each pixel RGB values, My problem is that i need to implement it for a JavaME MIDP 2.0 project so i must use code runnable on JVM prior to version 1.5 Can anyone help me out with this ? EDIT: I forgot to mention that i don't have SVG APIs available and that i need a method to rotate by arbitrary degree other than 90 - 180- 270 Also, no java.awt.* packages are available on MIDP 2.0

  • Image Erosion for face detection in C#

    - by Chris Dobinson
    Hi, I'm trying to implement face detection in C#. I currently have a black + white outline of a photo with a face within it (Here). However i'm now trying to remove the noise and then dilate the image in order to improve reliability when i implement the detection. The method I have so far is here: unsafe public Image Process(Image input) { Bitmap bmp = (Bitmap)input; Bitmap bmpSrc = (Bitmap)input; BitmapData bmData = bmp.LockBits(new Rectangle(0, 0, bmp.Width, bmp.Height), ImageLockMode.ReadWrite, PixelFormat.Format24bppRgb); int stride = bmData.Stride; int stride2 = bmData.Stride * 2; IntPtr Scan0 = bmData.Scan0; byte* p = (byte*)(void*)Scan0; int nOffset = stride - bmp.Width * 3; int nWidth = bmp.Width - 2; int nHeight = bmp.Height - 2; var w = bmp.Width; var h = bmp.Height; var rp = p; var empty = CompareEmptyColor; byte c, cm; int i = 0; // Erode every pixel for (int y = 0; y < h; y++) { for (int x = 0; x < w; x++, i++) { // Middle pixel cm = p[y * w + x]; if (cm == empty) { continue; } // Row 0 // Left pixel if (x - 2 > 0 && y - 2 > 0) { c = p[(y - 2) * w + (x - 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } // Middle left pixel if (x - 1 > 0 && y - 2 > 0) { c = p[(y - 2) * w + (x - 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (y - 2 > 0) { c = p[(y - 2) * w + x]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 1 < w && y - 2 > 0) { c = p[(y - 2) * w + (x + 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 2 < w && y - 2 > 0) { c = p[(y - 2) * w + (x + 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } // Row 1 // Left pixel if (x - 2 > 0 && y - 1 > 0) { c = p[(y - 1) * w + (x - 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x - 1 > 0 && y - 1 > 0) { c = p[(y - 1) * w + (x - 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (y - 1 > 0) { c = p[(y - 1) * w + x]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 1 < w && y - 1 > 0) { c = p[(y - 1) * w + (x + 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 2 < w && y - 1 > 0) { c = p[(y - 1) * w + (x + 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } // Row 2 if (x - 2 > 0) { c = p[y * w + (x - 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x - 1 > 0) { c = p[y * w + (x - 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 1 < w) { c = p[y * w + (x + 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 2 < w) { c = p[y * w + (x + 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } // Row 3 if (x - 2 > 0 && y + 1 < h) { c = p[(y + 1) * w + (x - 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x - 1 > 0 && y + 1 < h) { c = p[(y + 1) * w + (x - 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (y + 1 < h) { c = p[(y + 1) * w + x]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 1 < w && y + 1 < h) { c = p[(y + 1) * w + (x + 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 2 < w && y + 1 < h) { c = p[(y + 1) * w + (x + 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } // Row 4 if (x - 2 > 0 && y + 2 < h) { c = p[(y + 2) * w + (x - 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x - 1 > 0 && y + 2 < h) { c = p[(y + 2) * w + (x - 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (y + 2 < h) { c = p[(y + 2) * w + x]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 1 < w && y + 2 < h) { c = p[(y + 2) * w + (x + 1)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } if (x + 2 < w && y + 2 < h) { c = p[(y + 2) * w + (x + 2)]; if (c == empty) { continue; } } // If all neighboring pixels are processed // it's clear that the current pixel is not a boundary pixel. rp[i] = cm; } } bmpSrc.UnlockBits(bmData); return bmpSrc; } As I understand it, in order to erode the image (and remove the noise), we need to check each pixel to see if it's surrounding pixels are black, and if so, then it is a border pixel and we need not keep it, which i believe my code does, so it is beyond me why it doesn't work. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Chris

  • IIS7 MVC deploy - 404 not found on actions that accept "id" parameter.

    - by majkinetor
    Hello. Once deployed parts of my web-application stop working. Index-es on each controller do work, and one form posting via Ajax, Login works too. Other then that yields 404. I understand that nothing particular should be done in integrated mode. I don't know how to proceed with troubleshooting. Some info: App is using default app pool set to integrated mode. WebApp is done in net framework 3.5. I use default routing model. Along web.config in root there is web.config in /View folder referencing HttpNotFoundHandler. OS is Windows Server 2008. Admins issued aspnet_regiis.exe -i IIS 7 Any help is appreciated. Thx. EDIT: I determined that only actions that accept ID parameter don't work. On the contrary, when I add dummy id method in Home controller of default MVC app it works. My Views/Web.config <?xml version="1.0"?> <configuration> <system.web> <httpHandlers> <add path="*" verb="*" type="System.Web.HttpNotFoundHandler"/> </httpHandlers> <!-- Enabling request validation in view pages would cause validation to occur after the input has already been processed by the controller. • Delphi - How do I split a string into an array of strings based on a delimiter?

    - by Ryan
    Hello all, I'm trying to find a Delphi function that will split an input string into an array of strings based on a delimiter. I've found a lot on Google, but all seem to have their own issues and I haven't been able to get any of them to work. I just need to split a string like: "word:doc,txt,docx" into an array based on ':'. The result would be ['word', 'doc,txt,docx']. Does anyone have a function that they know works? Thank you

  • CSS3 - Validator - RGBA wrong?

    - by poru
    I'm using the W3C CSS Validator with the Profile CSS3 but the validator says that my CSS rgba()'s are wrong. I looked up the Color Module Level 3, and the syntax is the same as mine. I also tried the Dev-Validator, same result. Example input: div.class { border: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); } Am I wrong or why does the validator say that I have that many mistakes with rgba?

    I am trying to create something similar like Piano app on the iPhone. When people tap a key, it play a piano note. Basically, there will have only 7 notes (C) at the moment. Each note is a .caf file and its length is 5 seconds. I do not know if there is any way to save the song user played and export to mp3/caf format? The AVAudioRecord seems only record from the microphone input. Many thanks

How do I get around this problem?

  • Secondary monitor bug: a problem in WPF or in the graphics driver?

    - by emddudley
    I have discovered a strange bug with my WPF application and I am trying to determine whether it is a problem with WPF or my graphics driver so that I can report it to the appropriate company. I have a Quadro FX 1700 with the latest drivers (197.54) on a Windows XP system, running a .NET 3.5 SP1 application. I have dual monitors, and when I maximize then minimize a child window of the main window on my primary monitor, the child window gets drawn on the secondary monitor as well. It appears in both places. I made a sample application (code is below) which induces this behavior. Start the application and ensure the main window is on your primary monitor. Double-click the main window. A green child window should appear. Click the green child window to maximize. Click the green child window to minimize. Can anyone else reproduce this problem? On my system the green child restores, but then it's drawn on both my primary and secondary monitors, rather than just the primary monitor. App.xaml <Application xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" x:Class="DualMonitorBug.App" StartupUri="Shell.xaml" /> App.xaml.cs using System.Windows; namespace DualMonitorBug { public partial class App : Application { } } Shell.xaml <Window xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" x:Class="DualMonitorBug.Shell" Title="Shell" Height="480" Width="640" MouseDoubleClick="ShowDialog" /> Shell.xaml.cs using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Input; namespace DualMonitorBug { public partial class Shell : Window { public Shell() { InitializeComponent(); } private void ShowDialog(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { DialogWindow dialog = new DialogWindow(); dialog.Owner = this; dialog.Show(); } } } DialogWindow.xaml <Window xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" x:Class="DualMonitorBug.DialogWindow" Title="Dialog Window" Height="240" Width="320" AllowsTransparency="True" Background="Green" MouseLeftButtonDown="ShowHideDialog" WindowStyle="None" /> DialogWindow.xaml.cs using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Input; namespace DualMonitorBug { public partial class DialogWindow : Window { public DialogWindow() { InitializeComponent(); } private void ShowHideDialog(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) { this.WindowState = (this.WindowState == WindowState.Normal) ?
