    Hi! I have started to try out noSQL databases now and are currently testing out couchDB. Seems like a good solution, but I really get some headache when I follow available examples on how to create views (queries) to select documents from a database and sort them. Everything I can find is regarding Javascript and it would be great to take part of some examples for PHP since that is the language we will use. So, how do I create views using PHP for couchDB?

    Hi , I am looking for a solution preferrably 3rd party component , to open / disply word/excel/ppt and PDF document into flex : Flow is like this : User uploads any of the file .doc/.docx/.pdf/.ppt etc . This file is then displayed in flex area , without having user to get Office . ( Office WEB Component ) is ruled out because it needs office to be installed already . print2flash.com sounds good but their problem is they are on windows , my setup is LAMP PHP / mysql over Linux . In this sentence, I would like to match words (in order): fooBar, foobar, FOOBAR, fOoBaR and not: FooBar (correct spelling), foobarS (not the same word) Is there an existing solution using Perl Regular Expression?     Hello, I am looking for a solution that allows me to deploy multiple load balanced Grails instances that have shared cache (EhCache Server ?) and sessions, is this possible ? I can't find any documentation on this (connecting to a common EhCache server or using Distributed EhCache, and sharing sessions (using EhCache too ?))... I'm looking for something that will work like multiple Rails instances with a common memcached and sessions/caches stored in the memcached... Can you help me ? Thank you !

    I am working on a solution that used DDD for architecture. I have a property in my ViewModel which points to a ValueObject, the view model also implements INotifyPropertyChanged interface. The value of the ValueObject will change as a user enters data on the front end. The problem I am running into is the value object is suppose to be immutable. How can I work around this issue?     I have a custom portlet made for liferay and sometimes it throws an exception. Why it throws exceptions is irrelevant. How to catch exceptions thrown by portlet handler methods in order to email information about them? I know I could do try catching on every handler method but it would be a much more elegant and cleaner solution to catch the exception on a higher level and just email some information about the error. I'm using Spring Portlet MVC, so i got all spring-related niceties at hand.

    iPhone Safari seems to have some sort of problem whereby a page with css like this: body { background: #000 url(fixedimage.png) fixed repeat-x; } ...doesn't actually lead to a fixed image.
