• How to make a web browser with tabbed browsing with vb 2008?

  I've tried multiple times to create a web browser with tabbed browsing. I know that I have to use "tab control". I have succeeded in creating a semi-tabbed browsing. People are able to add new tabs, but the webbrowser component only appears in one tab page. attempting to store an EntityManager object into an EntityManagerFactory field, but I don't understand how or why. My DAO classes accept both an EntityManager and EntityManagerFactory via the @PersistenceContext attribute, and they work find if I load them up and run them without the @ContextConfiguration attribute (i.e. if I just use the XmlApplcationContext to load the DAO and the EntityManagerFactory directly in setUp ()). • Java multithreaded server - each connection returns data. Processing on main thread?

  I am writing a client with an integrated server that should wait indefinitely for new connections - and handle each on a Thread. I want to process the received byte array in a system wide available message handler on the main thread. However, currently the processing is obviously done on the client thread. I've looked at Futures, submit() of ExecutorService, but as I create my Client-Connections within the Server, the data would be returned to the Server thread. How can I return it from there onto the main thread (in a synchronized packet store maybe?) to process it without blocking the server?   I am trying to set up a new GitHub account as part of learning ruby on rails. My OS is windows. I am having the following problem while trying to add my public key to the GitHub SSH public keys. When I put the key in the text area, supply a name, and click 'Add Key', I am taken to the Job profile page without any confirmation that the key has been added.(I am using SSH client GUI to generate RSA keys). When I come back to the SSH public keys page, I see that the key is not there. I tried this multiple times...without any result.   Hi, I am trying to create a "KeySet" to modify UIElement behaviour. The idea is to create a special function if, eg. the user clicks on an element while holding a. Or ctrl+a. My approach so far, first lets create a container for all possible modifiers. If I would simply allow a single key, it would be no problem. I could use a simple Dictionary, with Dictionary<Keys, Action> _specialActionList If the dictionary is empty, use the default action. If there are entries, check what action to use depending on current pressed keys And if I wasn't greedy, that would be it... Now of course, I want more. I want to allow multiple keys or modifiers. So I created a wrapper class, wich can be used as Key to my dictionary. There is an obvious problem when using a more complex class. Currently two different instances would create two different key, and thereby he would never find my function (see code to understand, really obvious) Now I checked this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/638761/c-gethashcode-override-of-object-containing-generic-array which helped a little. But my question is, is my basic design for the class ok. Should I use a hashset to store the modifier and normal keyboardkeys (instead of Lists). And If so, how would the GetHashCode function look like? I know, its a lot of code to write (boring hash functions), some tips would be sufficient to get me started. Will post tryouts here... I have a class defined in an assembly : [Serializable] public class A { private readonly string _name; private A(string name) { _name = name; } } And in another assembly : public void f(Type t) { object o = Activator.CreateInstance(t); } and that simple call f(typeof(A)) I expected an exception about the lack of a parameterless constructor because AFAIK, if a ctor is declared, the compiler isn't supposed to generate the default public parameterless constructor. This code runs under .NET 2.0.

Because of problems arising from multiple threads creating and using instances of this class at the same time, I need to restrict the method so that only one caller at a time ever has one of these objects. To do this, I am creating a private static object: private static object _lock = new object(); ... and then inside the web service method I do this around the critical code: lock (_lock) { using (DangerousObject do = new DangerousObject()) { do.MakeABigMess(); do.CleanItUp(); } } I'm not sure this is working, though.   I have a system where a remote agent sends serialized structures (from and embedded C system) for me to read and store via IP/UDP. In some cases I need to send back the same structure types. I thought I had a nice setup using Marshal.PtrToStructure (receive) and Marshal.StructureToPtr (send). However, a small gotcha is that the network big endian integers need to be converted to my x86 little endian format to be used locally. When I'm sending them off again, big endian is the way to go.   Hello I'm trying to use an event dispatcher to allow a model to notify subscribed listeners when it changes. the event dispatcher receives a handler class and a method name to call during dispatch. the presenter subscribes to the model changes and provide a Handler implementation to be called on changes. If i replace it with a named nested class it seem to work. It also works if the Presenter and the EventDispatcher are in the same package, but I can't allow that (several presenters in different packages should use the EventDispatcher) any ideas?

• Flex - Problem with auto resizing datagrid

  Hi All I'm trying to create a datagrid which will resize vertically to ensure all the renderers are displayed in full. Additionally, Renderers are of variable height Renderers can resize themselves Generally speaking, the flow of events is as follows : One of the item renderers resizes itself (normally in response to a user click etc) It dispatches a bubbling event which the parent datagrid picks up The DataGrid attempts to resize to ensure that all renderers remain visible in full. I'm currently using this code within the datagrid to calculate the height: height = measureHeightOfItems(0, dataProvider.length ) + headerHeight; This appears to get an incorrect height. I've tried a number of variations including callLater ( to ensure the resize has completed so measure can work correctly), and overriding meausre() and calling invalidateSize() / validateSize(), but neither works. Below are 3 classes which will illustrate the problem. Clicking the button in the item renderers resizes the renderer. The grid should also expand so that all of the 3 renderers are shown in their entirety. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
