  • Emacs align-regexp on = but not ==

    I am working in Haskell and frequently come across code similar to the following: func i j | i == j = i | otherwise = j I want to align on the '=' character using align-regexp but don't have the elisp knowhow. I have tried just doing " = " without the quotes, but this inserts an unwanted space character before each '='. I have found a proposed solution here but I can't seem to get that to do anything at all. Please help me write a function or hard-coded macro that will allow me to set a keybinding for this.

  • Peek ahead when iterating an array in PHP 5.2

    Is it possible to "peek ahead" while iterating an array in PHP 5.2? For example, I often use foreach to manipulate data from an array: foreach($array as $object) { // do something } But I often need to peek at the next element while going through the array. I know I could use a for loop and reference the next item by it's index ($array[$i+1]), but it wouldn't work for associative arrays. Is there any elegant solution for my problem, perhaps involving SPL?

  • How do I format a String in an email so Outlook will print the line breaks?

    I'm trying to send an email in Java but when I read the body of the email in Outlook, it's gotten rid of all my linebreaks. I'm putting \n at the ends of the lines but is there something special I need to do other than that? The receivers are always going to be using Outlook. I found a page on microsoft.com that says there's a 'Remove line breaks' "feature" in Outlook so does this mean there's no solution to get around that other than un-checking that setting? Thanks

    I want to be able to edit and delete resources myself, but not allow users of the application to do so. Is there an easy way of doing this in Rails? An incomplete solution would be just to remove the "delete" and "edit" buttons from the index view, but that doesn't disable their ability to do so via direct HTTP requests. Which data type should I use in order to store Python references? The advantage of numpy is the support of slicing at different levels. The alternativee is to create a nested (nested) list but it is a cumbersome solution.

    My question may be a noob one but: I want to execute a php script when a user timeout. The only way I found to do so is to make the server execute a script every second or minute for instance, get the last activity of every user and execute a script when the last activity is older than (now() - timeout). is this the appropriate solution?     I want to filter a property within a range, but items that does not have the property should come last in the result. My solution was to set it to -1 if the property was not set. +(property:[10000000001 TO 10000000019] property:"-1"^0.5) This doesn't work, since every document with property:-1 get a very high score, for some reason. Is there a way to reliably control the sorting here? Boosting the range instead would mean I must boost every other term, which I'd rather not do.

    hi folks, I've installed dotnetnuke today for the first time, I've created a new portal via host/portals. It says its created it but just doesn't find it. I just don't know how/why? The portal ID is 4. and there is a directory in dotnetnuke/Portals/4 But the url localhost/bmd (name of the portal) doesn't resolve to anything/ Anyone know a solution to this? maybe it happened to you too?     Ok SO, I have a user table and want to define groups of users together. The best solution I have for this is to create three database tables as follows: UserTable user_id user_name UserGroupLink group_id member_id GroupInfo group_id group_name This method keeps the member and group information separate. This is just my way of thinking. Is there a better way to do this? Also, what is a good naming convention for tables that link two other tables?
