    Say you have an application where a user is typing some text and as she types you'd want to perform some expensive computations in the background (related to the text that is being typed). Although you would like to do lots of things, your main priority is that the system responsiveness stay at acceptable levels so the user doesn't notice such a heavy load. Is there a way (ideally platform/language independent) to control what algorithms should be executed in the background based on the system load and responsiveness?

  • TFS 2010: Is MSBuild going to be dead because of Windows Workflow?

    MSBuild in TFS 2010 has been replaced by Windows Workflow 4.0. It means when you are creating a Build Definition, you won't have a TFSBuild.proj to edit instead you must edit a workflow to customize your build. BTW am I correct if I say Microsoft is not supporting MSBuild in TFS 2010 and learning MSBuild as a TFS 2010 Team Build administrator doesn't worth? And another more question: Is microsoft going to replace Visual Studio Projects' language from MSBuild to something like Windows Workflow? Many Thanks

I would prefer one that supports scripting in python, since that's my primary language. Without tight controls, the game will suck... so speed is a priority. Cross-platform is also important to me.     I'm trying to make a small modification to django lfs project, that will allow me to deactivate products with no stocks. Unfortunatelly I'm just beginning to learn python, so I have big trouble with its syntax. That's what I'm trying to do. I'm using method 'has_variants' which returns true if product has any. Then I'm building a list from variants for this product. Next for every product in this list (I've called it 'set') I check it's stock and set bool variable 'inactive' to true if product has no stocks and to false if there are any.     Hi, I have a busybox with lighttpd running on as http server. My problem is while firefox and opera can get the page with applied xsl, Arora(webkit) can not. I would like to allow a user to click on a JList and if words are typed, do a query and advance the caret to the next match (prefix). Is there and example of such an implementation in Java somewhere?
