• C++ to bytecode compiler for Silverlight CLR?

  I'd like to be able to compile a C/C++ library so that it runs within a safe managed runtime in the Silverlight CLR. There are several tools for doing this with the JVM that allows C++ code to run within a CRT emulation layer (see NestedVM, LLJVM, etc), which effectively allows C++ code to be run within a Java Applet. There's even a tool for this for the Adobe Flash VM (see Alchemy). However, I can't seem to find any tools like this for the CLR. fyi, the MSVC tools don't seem to allow for this: The /clr:pure flag will create C++ code that runs in the CLR, but it isn't safe (because the CRT isn't safe) and /clr:safe requires massive code changes (no native types, etc).

  I got another new account for the AppStore, I setup the new account certificates on my MAC. Now when I try to publish XCode gives me the error CodeSign error: Certificate identity 'iPhone Distribution: 'Name' appears more than once in the keychain. The codesign tool requires there only be one. How can I change my certificate identity for the other account? While I have to leave my Name as it is on both itunes profiles. How can avoid this problem without have to remove one certificate each time I need to publish app on appstore. Thank you.

  Hi, I need to extract tar.gz a file. It's about 950mb. It has another 23 tar.gz files in it. Each of those 23 tar.gz files has one tar file in them. My questions is how I can easily extract all of them? Is there a commandline tool that I can use? • Can I use ANTLR for both two-way parsing/generating?

  Hi all, I need to both parse incoming messages and generate outgoing messages in EDIFACT format (basically a structured delimited format). I would like to have a Java model that will be generated by parsing a message. Then I would like to use the same model to create an instance and generate a message. The first half is fine, I've used ANTLR before to go from raw - Java objects. But I've never done the reverse, or if I have it's been custom. Does ANTLR support generating using a grammar or is it really just a parse-only tool?

  I've just started at a new company in outsourced communications (e.g. print and mail, email, fax). One of the requirements is to process clients data and get it ready for mailing. For recurring jobs, this is easy using an ETL tool linked in with some addressing software, but for adhoc stuff it's a bit overkill. I've used inhouse developed stuff before (clunky but usable), but I don't want to have to re-develop that here. Any recommendations? Some features : Basic DBMS functionality (preferably with a proper DBMS backend for SQL support) Field concatenation (e.g. combine Firstname + Surname) "Pushing columns" (e.g. with address fields 1 - 8, push them left so if one is blank, the next one gets pushed up) Australia post mail sorting and dpid allocation (or can link into external tools relatively easily)

  When I wish to bind a control to a property of my object, I have to provide the name of the property as a string. This is not very good because: If the property is removed or renamed, I don’t get a compiler warning. If a rename the property with a refactoring tool, it is likely the data binding will not be updated. I don’t get an error until runtime if the type of the property is wrong, e.g. binding an integer to a date chooser. Is there a design-paten that gets round this, but still has the ease of use of data-binding? (This is a problem in WinForm, Asp.net and WPF and most likely lots of other systems) I have now found "workarounds for nameof() operator in C#: typesafe databinding" that also has a good starting point for a solution.

State) because MySQL doesn't implement look-ahead assertions, a number of answers came up the equivalent Kansas($|[^ ]| ($|[^S])| S($|[^t])| St($|[^a])| Sta($|[^t])| Stat($|[^e])) The poster pointed out that's a PITA to do for potentially lots of expressions. Is there a script/utility/mode of PCRE (or some other package) that will convert a PCRE (if possible) to an equivalent regex that doesn't use Perl's snazzy features? I'm fully aware that some Perl-style regexes cannot be stated as an ordinary regex, so I would not expect the tool to do the impossible, of course!

• Are there any programs to aid in the mass-editing of Visual SourceSafe checkin comments?

  I know that in Visual SourceSafe you can go in and drill down to the history of an individual file and then drill down to an individual check-in and apply a comment to the check-in that way but that's tedious and time consuming - if you have a lot of files that were checked in at the same time and you want the same comment to apply to all of them this will take forever. I use the tool VSSReporter to generate reports of checkins and other stuff from VSS, but it cannot edit anything, only report on them. Are there any tools which will let you go back and retroactively apply comments to check-ins in an efficient and easy manner?

  I'm working on a verification-tool for some VHDL-Code in MATLAB/Octave. Therefore I need data types which generate "real" overflows: intmax('int32') + 1 ans = -2147483648 Later on, it would be helpful if I can define the bit width of a variable, but that is not so important right now. When I build a C-like example, where a variable gets increased until it's smaller than zero, it spins forever and ever: test = int32(2^30); while (test > 0) test = test + int32(1); end Another approach I tried was a custom "overflow"-routine which was called every time after a number is changed. This approach was painfully slow, not practicable and not working in all cases at all. Any suggestions?

I have compiled it from svn source on Mac & I have ensured that it is working properly by running it in Mac terminal.   I have a little command line tool that reads from stdin. On the command line I would run either... ./foo < bar or ... cat bar | ./foo With a gziped file I can run zcat bar.gz | ./foo in Python I can do ... Popen(["./foo", ], stdin=open('bar'), stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) but I can't do import gzip Popen(["./foo", ], stdin=gzip.open('bar'), stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) I wind up having to run p0 = Popen(["zcat", "bar"], stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) Popen(["./foo", ], stdin=p0.stdout, stdout=PIPE, stderr=PIPE) Am I doing something wrong? Why can't I use gzip.open('bar') as an stdin arg to Popen?

The code below is working however it loads the family into revit, and then you have to manually drag it from the familys tree or insert using the relevant family tool.   I am always looking to organize and make my resource bookmarks better and easiar to access when I need them. 1 thing I really like is code sharing sites, they let you enter in code and then give you a special link to give a friend or a user on this site even to show then code, This is a very useful tool I believe. I know that soon this spreadsheet won't help much (searching, recommending similar project estimations etc...) • Solving iPhone/iPad out of memory issues

  I have a strange issue where I'm scrolling through a paged UIScrollView which displays the pages of a PDF document (using Quartz 2D and CATiledLayer). When I page through memory allocation looks fine with it going up with a few initial pages and then keeping it steady as it obviously releases the memory kept for earlier pages. Upon hitting page x (not a certain PDF page or a certain number per se) memory usage goes from a couple of megs to 308 megs and the app crashes. So my question is: how to best try to find what's causing this? The object alloc tool in instruments shows the memory as simply going to malloc. (in huge chunks).

  I'm trying to draw Arabic text onto a Bitmap for display: Bitmap img = Bitmap.createBitmap( (int) f+100, 300, Config.RGB_565); Canvas c = new Canvas(); c.setBitmap( img ); mFace = Typeface.createFromAsset(getAssets(),"DejaVuSansCondensed.ttf"); mPaint.setTypeface(mFace); content = "????"; content = ArabicUtilities.reshape( content ); System.out.println("Drawing text: " + content); c.drawText(content, 30, 30, mPaint); The ArabicUtilities class is a tool to reshape the unicode text so the letters are connected. see: http://github.com/agawish/Better-Arabic-Reshaper/ However, the bitmap that is generated looks like this: When it should look like ???? I believe the issue is because, unlike a TextView, the Bitmap class is not BiDi aware, so it draws the letters from left to write. Try as I might, I can't figure out how to draw the text in the correct order.

  how to restrict the page to be browsed in the other browser with the same urls with out logging asp.net & c#.net. i followed the following steps for example: i am logging in to a page developed in asp.net & c#.net. i am viewing a page.Let it be admin page. i am copying the url of the admin page. i am opening another browser window and pasting the url. i was able to see the same admin page in the other browser. the question is how to restrict the opening of admin page in other browser,if they try to open admin page in another browser while user is currently viewing the admin page then it should be redirected to the login page? how could this be accomplished? is there any thing could be done with "login" control tool of the .net frame work?

  Hi, I have a web page with a dynamically generated image map (from a server side charting tool that I have no control over). I have a value for each area in the title attribute that I want to display on top of the image. I could dynamically generate span elements with absolute positioning, but I'm not sure how to calculate the "center" of a poly shaped area to use as coordinates. Is there an easy way to create texts for image map areas? a JQuery plug in perhaps? Do you know a good way to calculate the center of a poly area? Do you have any other suggestions?   Does anyone know of a way I can code-profile my Windows Sidebar Gadget? I've played around with the code-profiling tool in IE8's "Developer Tools" and the code-profiling included in Visual Studio 2010, but I can't find a way to include the System.* API, which my gadget relies on (as it is standard in the Sidebar environment). The gadget also relies on cross-domain AJAX requests; which is normally permitted in the Sidebar environment. • Rails route rewriting quesiton

  Hi guys, I think this is an easy question. I am using this useful Flash Document Reader called FlexPaper. I have it embeded in one of my Show pages. But when I click the a link on their tool bar to show the document in a new browser, it points to the following link ... http://0.0.0.0:3000/intels/FlexPaperViewer.swf?ZoomTime=0.5&FitPageOnLoad=false&PrintEnabled=false&SwfFile=%2FPaper.swf which doesn't work, but if I remove the "intels" from the path so the url looks like: http://0.0.0.0:3000/FlexPaperViewer.swf?ZoomTime=0.5&FitPageOnLoad=false&PrintEnabled=false&SwfFile=%2FPaper.swf It works fine. My question is what is the best way to handle this. Can you write a route that rewrites a url that starts with intels/FlexPaperViewer.swf and removes the intels prefix? What would that look like?   I'm rather new to perforce, but have quite a bit of other VCS experience... Imagine this: You submit changes (changelist 1) A colleague submits changes on the same branch, accidentally overwriting your changes. (changelist 2) I tried integrating (which P4V refuses to do since it's already integrated) and looked around for a way to just generate a patch that I could apply, but couldn't find anything. For now, I will check out the versions in question and use an external merge tool, but it would be great to know if perforce supports this somehow. Is there a way using the perforce tools (preferably in P4V) to reapply changelist 1?

• Debugging SQL in PGAdmin3 when sql contains variables

  In SQL Server I could copy sql code out of an application and paste it into SSMS, declare & assign vars that exist in the sql and run.. yay great debugging scenario. e.g. (please note I am rust and syntax may be incorrect) declare @x as varchar(10) set @x = 'abc' select * from sometable where somefield = @x I want to do something simular with postgres in pgadmin3 (or another postgres tool, anyy reccomendations?) I realise you can create pgscript, but it doesn't appear to be very good, for example, if I do the equlivent of above, it doesn't put the single quotes around the value in @x, nor does it let me by doubling them up and you don't get a table out after - only text... Currently I have a peice of sql someone has written that has 3 unique varibles in it which are used around 6 times each... So the question is how do other people debug sql this sql EFFICIENTLY, preferably in a simular fashion to my sql server days.

• Building two executables in one project

  Hi, I've a project that must produce two executables: the main application and an executable that is called by a separate process. I've created the second file in Xcode and added a second target of type Cocoa Shell Tool. I can now build the second executable but when I try to build my project normally I get an error saying there's two executables present: ld: duplicate symbol _main in <path>/SecondExecutable.o and <path>/main.o (<path> was added by me to protect the innocent and their intelectual property). How can I configure Xcode to build both at the same time?
