• Commercial template (theme) sellers which give license to resell the template?

  I came once across a website template seller which granted rights to resell the template to the buyer but forgot to bookmark it. All the commercial template vendors I know of (Template Monster, BoxedArt, Dreamtemplate..etc) don't allow this. Anyone knows of any sellers which allow this? Some of them allow you to resell the template if it's packaged for a different host software. For example, if I buy a website template, I am allowed to sell it as a WordPress or Joomla or Drupal theme. I am aware of public domain and free templates sites but I am not looking for those. I am talking about templates which are being sold.

• How can I search in transcluded categories?

  I want to add functionality to a MediaWiki wiki to search in specific categories: Platform 1 Platform 2 etc. So I created a template which, based on a certain field, assigns pages to those categories. The template was already included on most of these pages. So now most pages are in either: Category:Platform 1 or Category:Platform 2 Then I thought I just need to add incategory to the search and I'm done, as described on the Wikipedia page. But then I reread it and to my horror discovered: incategory: – using the incategory: parameter returns pages in a given category (as long as the pages are directly categorized, and not transcluded through templates). Eeeek! Is there any other way to search even in transcluded templates? Or any other way of resolving this?

  I have a template (sleep) in Eclipse 4.2.1 that should expand to try { Thread.sleep(1000); } catch (Exception e) {} I want Eclipse to add it as one line, just as I put it in the template. However, Eclipse autoformats it after inserting to: try { Thread.sleep(1000); } catch (Exception e) { } I have tried @formatter:off, but that does not work. I have code cleanup switched off. Is there any way to disable formatting for all templates, since the only templates I use are one-liners anyway?

• On HP Mini, unable to select 800x600 resolution

  I have an HP Mini laptop. I can only make resolution setting for my display of 1024x576. The HP Deskjet 6988 driver only allows resolution settings of 800x600. I don't care how 800x600 would look on my laptop, I only want to install the driver for the printer and set it back. I went into the registry, but it was showing a resolution setting of 800x600. How else can I set the resolution or at least add the option in my Display Properties for 800x600?

  Lets say we want a library of javascript-based pieces of functionality (I'm thinking jquery): For example: an ajax dialog a date picker a form validator a sliding menu bar an accordian thingy There are four pieces of code for each: some Python, CSS, JS, & HTML. What is the best way to arrange all these pieces so that: each javascript 'module' can be neatly reused by different views the four bits of code that make up the completed function stay together the css/js/html parts appear in their correct places in the response common dependencies between modules are not repeated (eg: a javascript file in common) x-------------- It would be nice if, or is there some way to ensure that, when called from a templatetag, the templates respected the {% block %} directives. Thus one could create a single template with a block each for CSS, HTML, and JS, in a single file. Invoke that via a templatetag which is called from the template of whichever view wants it. That make any sense. Can that be done some way already? The XSLT should copy the whole content, modify some values and add some new. • Mixins, variadic templates, and CRTP in C++

  Here's the scenario: I'd like to have a host class that can have a variable number of mixins (not too hard with variadic templates--see for example http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/summary?doi=10.1.1.103.144). However, I'd also like the mixins to be parameterized by the host class, so that they can refer to its public types (using the CRTP idiom). The problem arises when trying to mix the too--the correct syntax is unclear to me. For example, the following code fails to compile with g++ 4.4.1: template <template<class> class...   I'm building a Rails app that uses Pusher to use web sockets to push updates to directly to the client. So the natural solution would be to use a javascript template. The mustache template is 99% identical to the ERB templates I already have written to render HTML from the server. The intended output/purpose of the mustache and ERB templates are 100% the same: to turn a tweet object into tweet html. What is the best way to eliminate this repetition? UPDATE: Even though I answered my own question, I really want to see other ideas/solutions from other people--hence the bounty!

• Joomla Site Templates: Architecture Advise

  Our client provided us with html templates to turn into a Joomla template, problem is their designs are not Joomla Template friendly where a lot of the html design are not consistent with structure. Currently the only solution we have is applying a template structure pattern that fits the most amount of their design and have seperate joomla templates to take care of the ones that doesn't fit. We have the generic Joomla Template configured with different positions for each div and assign each article to its respective position in the template. Some articles though have menu modules within them so our solution is to split the article into two position and define positions for each menu module. Is this method better than defining module positions within an article content to render menus within an article? Is there a better way of showing articles in specific div positions than having each article be represented by a module to render in a specific div (position) in a template? Right now our current way of rendering an article(s) content to a specific position is to create a module (moduleAsArticle) and define that module a position. • Uses of a C++ Arithmetic Promotion Header

  I've been playing around with a set of templates for determining the correct promotion type given two primitive types in C++. The idea is that if you define a custom numeric template, you could use these to determine the return type of, say, the operator+ function based on the class passed to the templates. I'm working on the assumption that just having the promotion templates alone would be insufficient for practical adoption. Incidentally, Boost has something similar in its math/tools/promotion header, but it's really more for getting values ready to be passed to the standard C math functions (that expect either 2 ints or 2 doubles) and bypasses all of the integral types. Is something that simple preferable to having complete control over how your objects are being converted? TL;DR: What sorts of helper templates would you expect to find in an arithmetic promotion header beyond the machinery that does the promotion itself?

• Android Layout: Display as much ImageViews as possible without scrolling

  I am working on an app which should display several same size images on the screen. But it should only display only so much images as possible without offering scrolling. E.g. On a "big" tablet it could display 10x10 Imageviews (screen is large, so there is much space for pictures) On a "big" phone there might be enough space to display 6x6 ImageViews, so it should only display a 6x6 array of images. On a small phone there is propably only space for 4x4 ImageViews, so it should only display this. How can I make this in Android? I know about "layout-large", ... but if i make a special fixed xml-layout for a "large" device, it would not fit all devices correct. E.g. a Galaxy Nexus is a "normal" device and so is a Nexus One, but there would be at least be space for one or two more imageview rows on a Galaxy Nexus than on a Nexus One. So do I have to measure in code somehow how big the resolution is and display some TableRows accordingly? Or is there a special way how I can manage this?

• NotApplicable marker with display pattern

  Ok, so I'm pretty new to Cocoa, especially Bindings, but here's what I'm trying to do. I've got a Core Data model consisting of two entities: Category and Item. Category has a to-many relationship to Item called children, and Item has a relationship to Category called parent. Item has two attributes that Category does not have: quantity and desiredQuantity. What I'd like to do is display the tree in an NSOutlineView with two columns. One column is bound to the name of either the Category or the Item. I want to the second column to display something along the lines of 2 of 5 for the Item rows and nothing at all for the Category rows. When I use a display pattern, the Category rows end up showing of I noticed that if I don't use a display pattern for the second column, and instead just bind its Value to either the quantity or the desiredQuantity, the Category rows show nothing; its only if I try to use the display pattern. How can I make it display nothing for the Category rows and still use the display pattern? Or can I? Edit: I guess I didn't explain what the NotApplicable marker has to do with anything - Category does have properties for quantity and desiredQuantity, but they just return NSNotApplicableMarker.

• Android - Turn off display without triggering sleep/lock screen - Turn on with Touchscreen

  I have been trying to find a way to turn off the display, and wake up from the user touching the touch screen. The device is in an embedded environment where the device is a tablet and the user does not have access to anything except the touch screen (no buttons at all). It is connected to power so the battery won't be a problem, but when I detect no activity I want to turn off the screen so it isn't staring them in the face all day and doesn't reduce the life the LCD backlight. I maintain a wakelock permanently and decide when to sleep myself. The problem is that when I turn off the screen using : WindowManager.LayoutParams params = getWindow().getAttributes(); params.screenBrightness = 0; getWindow().setAttributes(params); The activity gets paused and stopped. And the unit does not respond to a touch to wake it up. You need to press the power button. At that point the "slide to unlock" shows up. I want to turn off the display, and then stay running so I can detect a touch screen event and turn the display back on. I also tried turning the display to a brightness of 0.1, which works on some devices, but the device I need it to work on, only "dims" the display. I also tried this: // First Remove my FULL wakelock //then aquire a partial wake lock (which should turn off the display) PowerManager.WakeLock wl = manager.newWakeLock(PowerManager.PARTIAL_WAKE_LOCK, "Your Tag"); wl.acquire(); however this method does not turn off the display.

I chose the default.A lineGraph displayed with some default data. Hook up your weather dataNow I wanted to hook up my own data. I browsed the tagdoc, and I found the tabularData attribute.Attribute: tabularDataType: java.util.ListTagDoc:Specifies a list of data that the graph uses to create a grid and populate itself. The List consists of a three-member Object array for each data value to be passed to the graph. The members of each array must be organized as follows: The first member (index 0) is the column label, in the grid, of the data value. This is generally a String. If the graph has a time axis, then this should be a Java Date. Column labels typically identify groups in the graph. The second member (index 1) is the row label, in the grid, of the data value. This is generally a String. Row labels appear as series labels in the graph (usually in the legend). For instance, I can hide/show a location by clicking on the name of the location in the legend.

• Make flash ignore transparent wmode — always display opaque background

  How to make flash movie (an advertising banner) ignore <param name="wmode" value="transparent">? There are some CMS systems which insert flash movies automatically with transparent wmode option. Flash Player ignores banner's background color, makes it transparent and displays it on web page background. I can workaround it using additional layer at the bottom with a large rectangle of desired color, but I think it is inefficient and inelegant. How to do this better?

• ASP.NET MVC: Simple view to display contents of DataTable

  In one of my current projects I have to show reports based on SQL Server views. My code should be not aware of data it shows. It just asks data from view and displays it user. As WebGrid didn’t seem to work with DataTable (at least with no hocus-pocus) I wrote my own very simple view that shows contents of DataTable. I don’t focus right now on data querying questions as this part of my simple generic reporting stuff is still under construction. If the final result is something good enough to share with wider audience I will blog about it for sure. My view uses DataTable as model. It iterates through columns collection to get column names and then iterates through rows and writes out values of all columns. • Two 12.04 machines have the same display settings but different results

  I have one machine that has a relatively fresh install of 12.04 and one that I inherited. The terminal window in the inherited machine has a really weird font, and the regular one is what I would expect. Especially the behavior of the "m" character is messed up. Note: both of these machines are on the same KVM switch. Mainly useful for sites where you don't have this amount of rep, but want to check the stats of the more controversial questions (usually on meta) No API key is actually used here, but it's trivial to add one. Known bugs If a question has more than 30 answers then some of the answers won't be resolved. This can be solved easily for <=100 answers, but for questions with more than 100 answers this is more difficult EDIT: updated to API version 1.0. Answers doesn't work yet.

• Duplicate of Certificate Templates does not appear in Certificate Template to Issue

  I'm following what should be simple instructions to enable LDAP SSL on our domain controller (instructions here). Duplicating the Kerberos certificate is successful however, when attempting to select "Certificate Template to Issue", the created certificate does not appear. What gives? A long time ago, I actually completed this step on a now decommissioned DC with no problem. Our environment is Windows Server 2008 Standard, and we have two domain controllers. Only one has the role of certificate authority. I look forward to any help here, thank you ahead of time.
