  • Display different content for anonymous and logged in users

    What I need to accomplish is: If an anonymous user visits the site, show regular site content. If a user logs in to the site, then user-related content appears in place of the regular content. I would like to accomplish this using the Views module. I have looked at the Premium module, but it seems to be abandoned. I would like to avoid using the content-access module if at all possible, since I already have other access controls in place.

  • Sending Gmail from Local Host

    I'm using the Acquia stack on my localhost (running Vista) and am trying unsuccessfully to send emails. I want to send them via Gmail, and have tried all sorts of settings in the php.ini file. There are no error messages, but no email is delivered. I've gotten no response on the Acquia forum, so I was hoping someone here might be able to help. Thanks very much.

  • How to split a View in several pages when a number of elements is reached?

    I am using Views to display a gallery. Right now I have set up the View so it onlys shows 50 elements, but I want it to display a "Next" button that takes you to the next batch of elements. Preferably using AJAX / without reloading, but its not necessary. How can I do this? I have looked at all the options and searched for a module that does that with no success, but I am sure its a standard funcionality and you people can help me. Thank you for reading.

This is the same question of this link: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1515722/removing-nidn-in-nodereference-autocomplete According with the first answer (Grayside) I've created my own module and activated. Then I create a new content, I look sth up in the nodereference field and finally select it - it works (Doesn't appear the [nid:n]). But, when I view/preview or save or edit the content, the [nid:n] appears again. Anybody can help me?

    For some frustrating reason, I configured some Modules, which seemed to work fine, However I cannot load a Modules Models. If I move the Models to the Default they load, but I just can't get the Framework to find them locally.. Example: My Modules Directory is: application\modules\books\models\books.php (books is my Model) class Application_Module_Books_Model_Books extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract {} I also tried.. Books_Model_Books, Model_Books, books, Modules_.. you name it I tried it :) My controller is in the Books Module, and is an Index Controller, and it can never find the Local Model.   • How to package up a Python 3 script with modules

    I created a small script that uses a few 3rd-party modules. I'm not sure how to distribute it. I tried Pyinstaller, but that doesn't seem to work. It can't find the modules. When I give the binary to a co-worker, it says it is looking for files in my home directory ( not his ) and dies. I have found that Pyinstaller is not able to find most modules. I am running Python 3 and installed Pyinstaller with pip from Python 2. It did not work trying to use pip from Python 3. When, I give it a path to my modules, it complains that they are python 3 modules. Just looking for some clarification. Ultimately, I'd like to run this on a linux or OS X box where python and my modules probably won't be installed. I just started Python yesterday and have a ton to learn.

However I'm not sure it is working. I can see the email url from source html and I think the module is not filtering anything. I've added some e-mails in the text editor CKEditor. Is it automatically detecting these emails written in text editor ? I haven't find any settings menu, after I installed the module. I guess there is not. thanks

I am trying to use drupal's quiz module ( http://drupal.org/project/quiz ) Basically everyone answer, in every question, in a quiz will have some particular weightage. Say answer 1 will have 2 marks, ans two will have 3 marks, answer 3 will have 4 marks.. and so on. Eventually all these get added up and the result is shown according to the final tally of marks. Can anyone show me the steps as to how to make such quizzes using the quiz module or some other module/method..

    Got an established libsyn rss feed, got a new drupal website for the podcast. Libsyn provides a player but not correct aesthetic. I can upload and play mp3 files with audio module and mp3player module, and like the mp3 player's output, a simple flash player, but I don't want to be manually moving the podcast audio files (mp3) over every week. Looked at importing automatically with Feeds, but it's not working and besides that's creating extra files unnecessarily on the drupal site. Just want to use the mp3player modulee's flash player in a drupal page, which feeds the latest mp3 file from a libsyn rss feed. Don't really need to store or play multiple episodes, just the latest episode. How would you do it?

    if i create a new web application tomorrow, should i use Drupal 6 or 7? i have never used drupal before so i have to start learning it first (very familiar with PHP) so i can understand the basics and how to extend it. my concerns for using 7: no modules contributed yet? so i dont have all the fancy stuff i can add like in Drupal 6? no good documentation and lack of web tutorials? how could i learn about it if there is not that much support? too early in the development process? it's not stable enough? i would like to use 7 cause i dont want to relearn everything and 7 is indeed just around the corner. but im afraid that it lacks all other stuff version 6 has. could someone guide me into right direction? thanks

    I'm using Drupal 6.14 on Win7. Everything seems to work except files that should be written to sites/default/files are trying to be written to /. The site was moved from a linux installation, which is writing the files correctly. I have setup a web.config w/ the rewrite rules for drupal. Not sure what or where else I should check. Specifically uri and args on line 4 seem correct, the internal redirect on line 7 seems right, and the pass through on line 12 seems right (because the file index.php exists). But for some reason it seems the query string's been discarded/ignored around the time of the internal redirect. I'm completely stumped. Also, if anyone could provide a reference on understanding the rewrite log, that might help. It'd be great if there's a way to track the query string through the internal redirect. FWIW I'm using WampServer 2.1 with Apache 2.2.17.

  • How to write a custom solution using a python package, modules etc

    I am writing a packacge foobar which consists of the modules alice, bob, charles and david. From my understanding of Python packages and modules, this means I will create a folder foobar, with the following subdirectories and files (please correct if I am wrong) foobar/ __init__.py alice/alice.py bob/bob.py charles/charles.py david/david.py The package should be executable, so that in addition to making the modules alice, bob etc available as 'libraries', I should also be able to use foobar in a script like this: python foobar --args=someargs Question1: Can a package be made executable and used in a script like I described above? Question 2 The various modules will use code that I want to refactor into a common library. Does that mean creating a new sub directory 'foobar/common' and placing common.py in that folder? Question 3 How will the modules foo import the common module ? Is it 'from foobar import common' or can I not use this since these modules are part of the package? Question 4 I want to add logic for when the foobar package is being used in a script (assuming this can be done - I have only seen it done for modules) The code used is something like: if __name__ == "__main__": dosomething() where (in which file) would I put this logic ?
