    Hey guys, I got 2 tables in my database: user and call. User exists of 3 fields: id, name, number and call : id, 'source', 'destination', 'referred', date. I need to monitor calls in my app. The 3 ' ' fields above are actually userid numbers. now i'm wondering, can i make those 3 field foreign key elements of the id-field in table user?     Hi, I am trying get float value with UITextField. On the simulator V3.1.3 in English, I have to use '.' to separate my float values. But on my Iphone 3GS V3.1.3 in French, I have to use ',' to separate them. If I use '.' on my Iphone 3GS, my float is troncated : 3.22222 = 3.0000000 Is there a solution to detect the language version and use the good separator automaticaly?

    The new version of SQLite has the ability to enforce Foreign Key constraints, but for the sake of backwards-compatibility, you have to turn it on for each database connection separately! sqlite> PRAGMA foreign_keys = ON; I am using SQLAlchemy -- how can I make sure this always gets turned on? What I have tried is this: engine = sqlalchemy.create_engine('sqlite:///:memory:', echo=True) engine.execute('pragma foreign_keys=on') ...but it is not working!...What am I missing?

  • Intercept and ignore keyboard event in Windows 7 32bit

    Hi all, My hardware has a problem, from time to time it's sending a "keydown" followed by a "keyup" of event: keydown: None LButton, OemClear 255 keyup: None LButton, OemClear 255 keydown: None LButton, OemClear 255 keyup: None LButton, OemClear 255 It goes like this forever, in Windows. In general it doesn't affect most of the applications, because this key is not printable. I think it's a special function key, like a media key or something. It doesn't do anything. But, in some applications that LISTEN to keydown and keyup, I get undesire and unexpected behaviour. Is there a way to intercept these 2 events in Windows (for all applications, for Windows itself) and make the OS ignore them? This is really important to me, if you can think of any solution, I'd be forever thankful.

    How would you prompt the user for some input but timing out after N seconds? Google is pointing to a mail thread about it at http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-list/2006-January/533215.html but it seems not to work. The statement in which the timeout happens, no matter whether it is a sys.input.readline or timer.sleep(), I always get: <type 'exceptions.TypeError'>: [raw_]input expected at most 1 arguments, got 2 which somehow the except fails to catch.

    I've been trying to get a delete to cascade and it just doesn't seem to work. I'm sure I am missing something obvious, can anyone help me find it? I would expect a delete on the 'articles' table to trigger a delete on the corresponding rows in the 'article_section_lt' table.   • SQL - Two foreign keys that have a dependency between them

    The current structure is as follows: Table RowType: RowTypeID Table RowSubType: RowSubTypeID FK_RowTypeID Table ColumnDef: FK_RowTypeID FK_RowSubTypeID (nullable) In short, I'm mapping column definitions to rows. In some cases, those rows have subtype(s), which will have column definitions specific to them. Alternatively, I could hang those column definitions that are specific to subtypes off their own table, or I could combine the data in RowType and RowSubType into one table and work with a single ID, but I'm not sure either is a better solution (if anything, I'd lean towards the latter, as we mostly end up pulling ColumnDefs for a given RowType/RowSubType). Is the current design SQL Blasphemy? If I keep the current structuree, how do I maintain that if RowSubTypeID is specified in ColumnDef, that it must correspond to the RowType specified by RowTypeID? Should I try to enforce this with a trigger or am I missing a simple redesign that would solve the problem?

  • Unwanted virtual keyboard in Blackberry app

    I have developed a Blackberry app for the 4.5 os series. It works fine on all device except on the storm 1 (storm2 untested). The problem (on the storm) is that the main screen of my application (and all other screens in fact) is shown with the virtual keybord. But there is no text field displayed on the screen that would justify the VK to show up. I have bitmap fields and button fields only on that screen. The use of a single program for all devices (4.5 and up) is seriously preferred. What is causing the VK to show up and what can I do to prevent it (in JDE 4.5)?

    I have the following tables: user (userid int [pk], name varchar(50)) action (actionid int [pk], description nvarchar(50)) being referenced by another table that captures the relationship: <user1> <action>'s <user2>. I did this with the following table: userAction (userActionId int [pk], actionid int [fk: action.actionid], **userId1 int [fk ref's user.userid; on del/update cascade], userId2 int [fk ref's user.userid; on del/update cascade]**). However, when I try to save the userAction table i get an error because I have two cascading fk's against user.userid. Is there any way to remedy this or must I use a trigger?

    I am writing a Tetris clone in WPF. If I hold down the right arrow key, the current piece shifts right. For playability, I want to allow the user to press another key (i.e. F-key) and rotate the moving piece without having to let go of the right arrow key first. Currently when I do this, the piece stops shifting. My first basic attempt at this was hooking into Window_PreviewKeyDown(object sender, KeyEventArgs e) and then sending a message to the controller layer.     I have an array created with this code: var widthRange = new Array(); widthRange[46] = { sel:46, min:0, max:52 }; widthRange[66] = { sel:66, min:52, max:70 }; widthRange[90] = { sel:90, min:70, max:94 }; I want to get each of the values 46, 66, 90 in a loop. I tried for (var key in widthRange) but this gives me a whole bunch of extra properties (I assume they are functions on the object). I can't use a regular for loop since the values are not sequential.

    In PHP I have an array that looks like this: $array[0]['width'] = '100'; $array[0]['height'] = '200'; $array[2]['width'] = '150'; $array[2]['height'] = '250'; I don't know how many items there are in the array. Some items can be deleted which explains the missing [1] key. I want to add a new item after this, like this: $array[]['width'] = '300'; $array[]['height'] = '500'; However the code above don't work, because it adds a new key for each row. It should be the same for the two rows above. A clever way to solve it? An alternative solution would be to find the last key. I failed trying the 'end' function.

How can I easily drop all foreign key constraints for a certain table? Does anyone have a better script?

  • Trying to read keyboard input without blocking (Windows, C++)

    I'm trying to write a Windows console application (in C++ compiled using g++) that will execute a series of instructions in a loop until finished OR until ctrl-z (or some other keystroke) is pressed. The code I'm currently using to catch it isn't working (otherwise I wouldn't be asking, right?): if(kbhit() && getc(stdin) == 26) //The code to execute when ctrl-z is pressed If I press a key, it is echoed and the application waits until I press Enter to continue on at all. With the value 26, it doesn't execute the intended code. If I use something like 65 for the value to catch, it will reroute execution if I press A then Enter afterward. Is there a way to passively check for input, throwing it out if it's not what I'm looking for or properly reacting when it is what I'm looking for? ..and without having to press Enter afterward?

    How can you simulate keypresses and releases? I know you can essentially hit a key with Sendkeys.SendWait, but how can your code press and hold q, for example? Any help is much appreciated! Everything I find keeps pointing me at sendkeys, which is not correct. I essentially wish to be able to call something like press("q") and release("q"). The effect would be the same as physically holding them down. Thanks for your help!

My code: using (entity _db = new entity()) { Pool p = new Pool(); p.Name = "test"; p.Group.ID = "5"; _db.AddToPool(p); } This doesn't work. I get a null reference exception on p.Group. How do I go about creating a new "Pool" and associating a GroupID?

If it can, how can I do that? If it cannot, is it possible to use the keyboard to fill an input field that is underneath it?
