  • How to style an asp.net menu with CSS

    I'm in the process of styling an asp.net menu and I'm trying to understand the meaning of the StaticSelectedStyle-CssClass and StaticHoverStyle-CssClass parameters. My understanding is that the styles defined with these parameters are applied as CSS classes to the relevant elements, whenever needed. So I created my menu as follows: <asp:Menu ID="NavigationMenu" DataSourceID="NavigationSiteMapDataSource" StaticMenuStyle-CssClass="StaticMenuStyle" StaticMenuItemStyle-CssClass="StaticMenuItemStyle" StaticSelectedStyle-CssClass="StaticSelectedStyle" StaticHoverStyle-CssClass="StaticHoverStyle" Orientation="Horizontal" MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels="0" runat="server"> </asp:Menu> It works for StaticMenuStyle-CssClass and StaticMenuStyle-CssClass (the classes are applied to the relevant elements), but StaticSelectedStyle-CssClass and StaticHoverStyle-CssClass are not applied, regardless of the selected or hover status of an element. What am I supposed to do to make this work? Thanks.

  • How to turn off the unity launch bar in ubuntu 11.10

    I would like to use the unity option in ubuntu but without the unity sidebar. I've seen how I can select to use just gnome from the login screen but there are some things I like about the unity interface. E.g. From what I've seen I like the integrated application menu with the ubuntu menu up the top that unity option comes with. So I really just want to turn the launch bar off.     Hello, I am trying to find the best option to create a simple progress bar that I need to be triggered periodically from within another JavaScript script. Every few minutes, a timer would cause the progress bar to start going from 0 to 100%. Once it reaches 100%, the bar would reset to 0. I am trying to implement a smooth animated version of the bar, like this one: http://www.webappers.com/progressBar/. (I tried adapting this particular one but I could not get it to work the way I described) I am looking into the jQuery UI ProgressBar: Is it possible to use it in the manner I have described?   • Pictures clicked on Start Menu's Recent Items list opens in non default program

    I am using Picasa Photo Viewer and have associated all JPG and PNG files to open with it. However when I open an image from the Recent Items list in the Windows 7 Start Menu it opens with Windows Photo Viewer. The context menu for such items reveals no actions that would make it go to Windows Photo Viewer, and the default (one in bold) opens with the Picasa viewer as you'd expect. It's just that the left click behaves differently for some reason. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    When I boot my MBP, the menu bar doesn't appear. When I open Mail.app or Safari, the menu bar appears. I've searched for a bit, and nothing seems to talk about this. Is there a way to fix this?   • Remove context menu items

    When I right click on a file and select open with, there are a bunch of irrelevant entries that I will never use. A lot of them are bits of the OS (e.g. Core Image Funhouse.app on image files) or at best dubious (I doubt I will ever want to open a .txt using Illustrator). Is there any way to remove items from the Open With menu? This is on OSX Lion 10.7.5. The only questions I could find related to this were about uninstalled programs remaining in the context menu. Thanks!

    Hi everyone! My first question on stackoverflow! I'm using a UISlider in my app but I'd like to use a custom "look-and-feel" for it. I have changed the thumb to my own image but is there a way to change the bar also? I have a bar image I would like to use but can't see how to do this.   • jquery stop image slider when accordian menu is closed

At the moment the page loads a blank picture area and when an accordion menu item is closed it just restarts that menu items picture slider. (So on page load and when all accordions are closed I need it default to an image on the right.) Some of the items only have 1 picture i.e. posture 3 you will notice when you click on it, it shows the image and then goes blank, can it just fade the image in and leave it there if there is only 1 image?   • Ghosting context menu clicks in WinXP

    Let me preface by saying I have a lot of windows open most of the time, although not resource intensive ones, just browsers, ssh sessions, a music player, FTP client, Notepad++, IM clkients, etc. Anyway, I get a lot of weird visual "ghosting" type effects. For example when right-clicking and then selecting an option from a context menu the selected item will remain in view until I right click somewhere on the desktop. Same thing happens when selecting items from the File, Edit, etc. menu in various programs. I'm assuming this is just a result of a less than high quality video card (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200), all the other hardware in the machine is newer higher quality, that specific video card was added after the fact for multiple monitors. I have looked all over the web for solutions and have increased the number of GDI handles for Windows, reduced the hardware accelaration on the card, etc. Any suggestions other than replace the card?

  • LCD problems: brightness / contrast blown out, can't bring up menu

    Yesterday, when I turned on my LCD monitor, the colors were very very bright. It looks as if someone had gone into the monitor on-screen-display and turned up brightness & contrast all the way to the max. Colors were washed out, and it's almost painful to look at. So I tried to go into the menu and see if the settings were wrong somehow...and I found that I cannot bring up the menu. All the buttons on the front of the monitor now do nothing, except the power button. I was able to go into my graphics card settings, and turn the brightness way down to compensate, so it's at least usable for now, but it's not quite right, there is definitely some loss of color resolution or something from the two extreme settings canceling each other out. Any ideas what kind of failure in the LCD might cause this? According to the control panel, the model number is: KL2490DW-D It's a 24" 1920x1200 with the brand "synaps".

    I'm writing a Navigation-Based iPhone app, and I'd like to have a UIToolBar docked at the bottom of my screen, with a UITableView scrolling between the tool bar and the navigation bar. I used [[self navigationController] setToolbarHidden:NO] and - (void)setToolbarItems:(NSArray *)toolbarItems animated:(BOOL)animated to set the UIToolBar. UIToolBar correctly shows in current view. If I drill down into a detail view using the button on navigation bar, i cannot return back to previous view. Before I add the tool bar, it can return back. I am wondering is there anything else should be noted when use UIToolbar?

  • How do I remove the "Shutdown" menu entry from Gnome's system menu?

    We have a lab with multiple RedHat EL5 machines running the Gnome desktop environment. When developers are done using the machine sometimes they miss the logout button and click the Shutdown button by mistake (easy to do, I've done it myself). Needless to say, for those remoted into the lab it's sometimes devastating. Is there a way to remove the Shutdown entry for all users from the Gnome menu? Note: I do not mean Shutdown on the greeter, but the Shutdown button on the menu drop down that is next to logout, sleep, etc.

    I have seen some posts of the asp:menu and the browsers Chrome and Safari here, but nevertheless, I think the problem that I have is different than other problems. I am using the following code in order to display the menu: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (Request.UserAgent.IndexOf("AppleWebKit") > 0) { Request.Browser.Adapters.Clear(); } ... } However, the problem is still there if I start the browsers for the very first time, the menu is displayed vertically instead of horizontally. After a page refresh, the menu works fine... How is that possible? Or is the problem that simple,and I need to place the code in somewhere earlier (eg Page_PreInt). Thanks in advance, Patto

  • Debian Testing install USB menu does not respond to keyboard

    I'm trying to install Debian Testing onto my Acer Aspire One ZG5 using the testing versions of boot.img and debian-testing-i386-CD-1.iso. I previously installed (two days ago) the latest release of stable, and the boot.img/CD1 from that worked fine, and installed seamlessly. With testing though, the menu does not respond to the keyboard as soon as the menu appears to select Install/Graphical install/Help, etc. I have also tried to boot with an external (USB) keyboard, which again, works fine with the stable version of boot.img/CD1, but not testing. I did some searching and couldn't find anything that looked similar. Any ideas?
