  • Office 2010 OCT Outlook Filepaths

    I'm playing around with customizing Office 2010 installs on my network, normally I just do a full manual install, but as the environment grows and the lazier I get its becoming a pain to do it manually every time. I've read up and downloaded the Office 2010 OCT tool and it looks relatively straight forward - with one exception - the Outlook Profile. I can 'get around it' by just leaving it all as default (or not enabling offline use) but I'd like to customise it slightly so that its all setup no matter who logs onto the PC. The only issue I have, and my question is: In the OCT - Outlook section What do you enter into the Path and Filename for the OST file and the Offline Address book seetings under Enable Offline Use section? I'm sweet with everything else - just that one section, and I think if I bugger that one it will kill the whole Outlook Profile?? It would need to go into each users unique filepath for their profile correct? I have a fair idea of what should be there but I'm struggling with the correct syntax. I know this is a stupid question....but its late in the day and my brain is fried ;) As usual - any and all help/assistance is appreciated ;)

Is it ok for companies to act childish (not wanting to share, not-invented-here syndrome, etc)?     Hi all, I have an interview with Microsoft in a week and am wondering what to wear. The recruiter said Business Casual but that means very little to me. I'm sure some people here have already had interviews at MS. Anyone care to share what the interviewers were wearing? Would I be out of place with jeans and a polo shirt? Honestly, I feel more comfortable with casual clothes (some people are the opposite) but I don't want to look under dressed either. Thanks for the tips.

    Possible Duplicate: Why should you get MCTS certified? Are microsoft certificates useful for anything more than beeing a bonus on job interviews? I do believe in formal training but i'm sceptical about their value, specialy if i dont' take classes (not enough time/money) but study at home/online and than go directly to take exams. Would you recomend taking preparation classes, or are they just waste of time? (or perhaps is whole certification thing waste of time?) (i have several years of expirience and currently working in software development)

    Running Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS 32-bit on a computer with an Intel core i5 processor, 4GB RAM and a NVIDIA 450GTS Graphics card. I am trying to set up Skype with my webcam. So far everything works almost perfectly, however my Microsoft LifeCam-VX700 v2.0 audio does not work correctly. The audio feed is just static/white noise. I have checked the hardware using windows and it worked perfectly there. The video works great in Ubuntu. It is just the audio that is the problem. What can I do to rectify this problem?

    I have a new repository on an existing subversion server that requires us to perform path based authorization within the repository. I found that the AuthzSVNAccessFile directive in apache is directly responsible for allowing this functionality. After fixing several other problems such as AuthzSVNAccessFile preventing SVNListParentPath from operating properly, I am left with one single problem. I can checkout, I can update, I can commit, BUT I cannot execute an SVN COPY for performing branch/tagging operations. The moment I comment out the AuthzSVNAccessFile line in the Apache config everything works as expected except the obvious path authorizations. Versions: The server OS is Debian 6.0.7 (Squeeze) Apache 2.2.16-6+squeeze11 Server Subversion 1.6.12dfsg-7 Clients are running windows Clients tried are: TortoiseSVN 1.8.2 Build 24708 64bit SVN CLI Client 1.8.3 (r1516576) Authentication is performed via AD to a Windows 2003 domain and appears to be operating normally. I have stripped out all other configurations and repository setups to produce this single configuration that reproduces the problem.     How can someone who joins an existing Microsoft Communicator chat see the history of what has gone before? Is there any way for Shemp to see what Larry and Moe have already typed? I have tried copy-pasting the whole thing, but that invokes an error with no error message - possibly "too much text."     Is there a way to silent install Office 2010 Pro Plus with Visio 2010 Premium and Project 2010 Pro all at the same time? I've configured the msp's for each individual product and when I have the install directories all in the same folder, running setup.exe brings up a dialog asking me to choose which product to install. I want it to automatically install all three products as soon as setup.exe is launched. Any ideas?

    I'm attempting to install Office 2010 Pro Plus on a netbook running WWindows 7 Starter but the installer prompts for a file location: Setup cannot find ProPlusr.WW\ProPrWW2.cab. Browse to a valid installation source, and then click OK. I checked the installation files and can see that the file is present. I selected the folder and clicked OK, but the installer keeps prompting for the file. Has anyone else encountered this?
