  • I need a row Added event for a DataGridView

    What i want to do is set the background of a row based on some criteria, but the datagrid will be fairly large so i don't want to have to loop over all the rows again. The rows get created me doing something like "myDataGridView.DataSource = MyDataSource, so the only way i can think to edit rows is by using an event. there is a row*s* added event, but that gives me a list of rows that i'd have to iterate over. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • HDMI video connection cuts top and bottom borders of screen

    Ok this is an extension of another problem I had with a VGA connection and an Nvidia Geforce GT 440 card. Here is goes the explanation of this particular problem: I have a Soneview 32' TV. This TV has many connections including VGA (First reason I bought it), HDMI (Second reason but did not have a HDMI cable at that time) and DVI. I have had this TV for little over a month now, actually I had it to celebrate the release of Ubuntu 11.10 and started using it exactly on that date (I know too much fan there but hey, I like geek stuff). I started using it with the VGA cable. After 2 weeks I bought an Nvidia GT440 card. The previous 9500GT was working correctly with no problems whatsoever. I installed the GT440 and the first problem that I encountered using this latest card is mentioned here: Nvidia GT 440 black screen problem when loading lightdm greeter. The solution to this problem was to actually disconnect then connect again the VGA cable. This would result in the screen showing me the lightdm screen for my login. If I did not disconnect then connect the cable I could be there forever thinking that there is no video signal. I got tired of looking for answers that did not work and for solutions that made me literally have to install Ubuntu again. I just went and bought a HDMI cable and changed the VGA one for that one. It worked and I did not have to disconnect/connect the cable but now I have this problem when using any resolution. My normal resolution is 1920x1080 (This TV is 1080HD) so in VGA I could use this resolution with no problem, but on HDMI am getting the borders cut out. Here is a pic: As you can see from the PIC, the Launcher icons only show less than 50% of their witdh. Forget about the top and bottom parts, I can access them with the mouse but I can not visualize them in the screen. It is like it's outside of the TVs view. Basically there is like 20 to 30 pixels gone from all sides. I searched around and came to running xrand --verbose to see what it could detect from the TV. There is a flickering effect at this resolution using HDMI but not VGA which I imagine is related to the borders cut off issue am asking here. I have also done the following but this will only solve the problem on lower resolutions than 1920x1080 or on others TV (My father has a Sony TV where this problem is also solved): NVIDIA WAY Go to Nvidia-Settings and there will be an option that will have more features if a HDMI cable is connected. In the next pic the option is DFP-1 (CNDLCD) but this name changes depending on what device the PC is connected to: Uncheck Force Full GPU Scaling What this will do for resolutions LOWER than 1920x1080 (At least in my case) is solve the flickering problem and fix the borders cut by the monitor. Save to Xorg.conf file the changes made after changing to a resolution acceptable to your eyes. TV WAY If you TV has OSD Menu and this menu has options for scanning the screen resolution or auto adjusting to it, disable them. Specifically the option about SCAN. If you have an option for AV Mode disable it. Basically disable any option that needs to scan and scale the resolution. Test one by one. In the case of my father's TV this did it. In my case, the Nvidia solved it for lower resolutions. NOTE: In the case this is not solved in the next couple of weeks I will add this as the answer but take into consideration that the issue is still active with 1920x1080 resolutions.

  • jQuery and XHTML layout problems in ie7

    Hi there, I am back again with more layout problems on my up and coming website. I am able to achieve the proper animation, positioning and results with my layout / splash on every modern browser (excluding ie7 or older). I have an image in the center of the page, that is text-align: center'd, and pushed to a vertical center by having a div (#SPLASH_HEAD) set to 50% on the top half of the page. The loading animation changes the height of #SPLASH_HEAD to 0px, to drag the image to the top (and then do other things). In ie7 (or compatability mode), it appears that there is an error in jquery-1.4.2.min.js, line 116 char 165 (which I dont think has anything to do with the actual jQuery file itself). The splash is not centered either vertically (#SPLASH_HEAD does not register at 50% of window height) and is not centered properly with margin-left. Also, none of the other elements are hidden properly (with .hide()) as ie7 does not appear to be loading all of my jQuery / javascript. heres a link: www.voidsync.com/test (it would be easier to view the source on there) thanks!

  • Many DIVs inside parent DIV, CSS height issue

Basically I am trying to place each thumbnail and caption in its own DIV, floated to the left. The thumbnails are working just as I want them to but for some reason the parent DIV refuses to cover the height of the thumbnail area. Can I name or create a reference to my gridview either from c# or XAML so I can use the above code?     i have a table of resources (lets say cars) which i want to claim atomically. if there's a limit of one resource per one user, i can do the following trick: UPDATE cars SET user = 'bob' WHERE user IS NULL LIMIT 1 SELECT * FROM cars WHERE user IS bob that way, i claim the resource atomically and then i can see which row i just claimed. this doesn't work when 'bob' can claim multiple cars. i realize i can get a list of cars already claimed by bob, claim another one, and then SELECT again to see what's changed, but that feels hackish. What I'm wondering is, is there some way to see which rows i just updated with my last UPDATE? failing that, is there some other trick to atomically claiming a row? i really want to avoid using SERIALIZABLE isolation level. If I do something like this: 1 SELECT id FROM cars WHERE user IS NULL 2 <here, my PHP or whatever picks a car id> 3 UPDATE cars SET user = 'bob' WHERE id = <the one i picked> would REPEATABLE READ be sufficient here? in other words, could i be guaranteed that some other transactions won't claim the row my software has picked during step 2?

    Hi, Im trying to learn the code igniter library and object oriented php in general and have a question. Ok so Ive gotten as far as making a page which loads all of the rows from my database and in there, Im echoing an anchor tag which is a link to the following structure. [code]echo anchor("videos/video/$row-video_id", $row-video_title);[/code] So, I have a class called Videos which extends the controller, within that class there is index and video, which is being called correctly (when you click on the video title, it sends you to videos/video/5 for example, 5 being the primary key of the table im working with. So basically all Im trying to do is pass that 5 back to the controller, and then have the particular video page output the particular rows data from the videos table. My function in my controller for video looks like this - [code] function video() { $data['main_content'] = 'video'; $data['video_title'] = 'test'; $this-load-view('includes/template', $data); } [/code] So ya, basically test should be instead of test, a returned value of a query which says get in the table "videos", the row with the video_id of "5", and make $data['video_title'] = value of video_title in database... Should have this figured out by now but dont, any help would be appreciated!

    Hi People, What I cant figure out is how I would toggle a row in a table using the one below it. So say I have a table with 2 rows the first contains content and the one below contains a button, when the page loads the content row is hidden and when you click the button it toggles the content row on and off.     I am modifying a skin for the CKEdit component so that the toolbar is hidden unless clicked. To do so, I moved the toolbar collapser to the row below it using position: relative and top:18px.   • Autoselect, focus and highlight a new NSOutlineView row

    This is probably just lack of experience with the NSOutlineView but I can't see a way to do this. I have a NSOutlineView (implemented with the excellent PXSourceList) with an add button that is totally functional in the aspect that I save/write/insert/delete rows correctly.   • wpf 4 datagrid not highlighting row.

    I have a shiny new wpf 4 datagrid, and no matter what I do I can't make the row highlight when the user clicks on a cell. It works on the empty "new record" row on the bottom, but not on rows with data (yes I've tried with and without readonly). I had themes enabled because I'm using a Fluent Ribbon elsewhere and it forces you to, but I tried turning that off and it had no effect. I have a 3.5 form in another app which is also very plain and you can highlight the row on it. Why on earth isn't this one working?

    Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to access a hidden field (by client id) within a table row using jquery. $("#tblOne").find("tr").click(function() { var worker = $(this).find(":input").val(); }); I find that the above works for a row that has only one input, but i need some help figuring out a way to get the value by the inputs name. Here's the example of a table row.   • Set DetailsView as selected row of GridView

    I am afraid this is a brain fart question. But I have searched around and have not been able to find the answer. I am creating a GridView/DetailsView page. I have a grid that displays a bunch of rows, when a row is selected it uses a DetailsView to allow for Insert/Update. My question is what is the best way to link these? I do not want to reach out to the web service again, all the data i need is in the selected grid view row. I basically have 2 separate data sources that share the same "DataObjectTypeName", the first data source retrieves the data, and the other to do the CRUD. What is the best way to transfer the Selected Grid View row to the Details View?     I want to number certain combinations of row in a dataframe (which is ordered on ID and on Time) tc <- textConnection(' id time end_yn number abc 10 0 1 abc 11 0 2 abc 12 1 3 abc 13 0 1 def 10 0 1 def 15 1 2 def 16 0 1 def 17 0 2 def 18 1 3 ') test <- read.table(tc, header=TRUE) The goal is to create a new column ("journey_nr") that give a unique number to each row based on the journey it belongs to. Journeys are defined as a sequence of rows per id up until to end_yn == 1, also if end_ynnever becomes 1, the journey should also be numbered (see the expected outcome example). It is only possible to have end_yn == 0 journeys at the end of a collection of rows for an ID (as shown at row 4 for id 3). So either no end_yn == 1 has occured for that ID or that happened before the end_yn == 0-journey (see id == abc in the example). I know how to number using the data.table package, but I do not know which columns to combine in order to get the expected outcome. I've searched the data.table-tag on SO, but could not find a similar problem.
