  • In listview,Viewstub cannot be found after the previous one is inflate

    I am using some list item layout and in the item layout, there is a Viewstub where I want to put some image in.I don't have the source of list item layout and just know there are some TextViews and ViewStubs in it. My purpose is to find the ViewStub first and set my personal layout and play with it.   • ListView/ListAdapter paging

    I'm trying to implement paging in a custom ListAdapter. Right now I'm just making the request for the next page when the last item in the ListView becomes visible, by checking in getView() if position is >= the size of ListAdapter.getCount(). It works fine, but I'm wondering if there's a better way (or a different way) that will only make the request once the last item in the list is actually visible to the user. Anyone know of a way?

  • How to add parameters to HttpURLConnection using POST

    I am trying to do POST with HttpURLConnection(I need to use it this way, can't use HttpPost) and I'd like to add parameters to that connection such as post.setEntity(new UrlEncodedFormEntity(nvp)); where nvp = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>(); having some data stored in. I can't find a way how to add this ArrayList to my HttpURLConnection which is here: HttpsURLConnection https = (HttpsURLConnection) url.openConnection(); https.setHostnameVerifier(DO_NOT_VERIFY); http = https; http.setRequestMethod("POST"); http.setDoInput(true); http.setDoOutput(true); the reason for that awkward https and http combination is the need for not verifying the certificate. That is not a problem, though, it posts. But I need it to post with arguments. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

  • Mapview getLatitudeSpan and getLongitudeSpan not working

    Hi! Sometimes when trying to get the Latitude span or Longitude span of a mapview with getLatitudeSpan() and getLongitudeSpan() I get 0 and 360*1E6 respectively. This doesn't happen always but it is a problem, has anybody got this problem? Any workarounds? I tried using getProjection() too but I get the same problem.     I'm having trouble with a WebView always filling the full screen and thus covering my tabs.     I have a PreferenceActivity with a bunch of (Sub)PreferenceScreens. Each such (Sub)PreferenceScreen represents an account and has the account-username as its title. PreferenceScreen root = mgr.createPreferenceScreen(this); for (MyAccountClass account : myAccounts) { final PreferenceScreen accScreen = mgr.createPreferenceScreen(this); accScreen.setTitle(account.getUsername()); // add Preferences to the accScreen // (for instance a "change username"-preference) ... root.add(accScreen); } As the user enters sub-PreferenceScreen, and edits the account user-name, I want the outer PreferenceScreen to update it's PreferenceScreen-title for the account in question. I've tried to add... usernamePref.setOnPreferenceChangeListener(new OnPreferenceChangeListener() { public boolean onPreferenceChange(Preference preference, Object newValue) { accScreen.setTitle(newValue.toString()); return true; } }); ...but the accScreen.setTitle does not seem to take effect on the outer PreferenceScreen. I've note that calling onContentChanged(); actually makes it work, but I realize that this is probably not the preferred way of doing it. I suspect I should call postInvalidate() on some view somewhere, but I really can't figure out on what view and when to do it. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2396153/preferencescreen-androidsummary-update may be experiening the same problem as me.     Hi all, On my activity, im getting some big data from web, and while getting this data i want to show the user a ProgressDialog with spinning wheel. That i can do only with putting this code into a thread, right ? the problem is that after im getting this data i need to insert it into my tableLayout as TableRows and it seems impossible to access the TableLayout from the thread. What can i do to show this progress dialog and to be able access the table layout from the thread ?? Is there any event that happens on the end of the thread ?     Am trying to use OsmDroid with MapQuest maps downloaded from Mobile Atlas Creator. I followed all the instructions to generate the map tiles, upload them to the SDcard etc but when I run this on the device I get a screen with a bunch of empty boxes...   • Clearing canvas with Canvas.drawColor()

    I'm attempting to change the background image of a custom View with some success. The image will change but the problem is that I still see traces of the old image. When I attempt to clear the canvas before drawing the new image, it doesn't appear to work. I create a bitmap to store the image. When changing the image, I call Canvas.drawColor() before drawing the new image but the old image persists. I've tried drawColor(0), drawColor(Color.BLACK), c.drawColor(0, PorterDuff.Mode.CLEAR), and none of the above works. As such, I had to post this for review from more experienced minds than mine.   • Getting ImageView dimensions before adding the image

    I've got a RelativeLayout that contains these items: LinearLayout ImageView (weight = 1) LinearLayout So, the ImageView should expand and pin the other layouts on the top/bottom of the screen. I'm loading the ImageView using an image stored on a web server. However, I can fetch images of any size from the server, so I'd rather just fetch the exact image size I need. Thus, I need to get the size of the ImageView before I actually fill it in. How can I do this?

  • AutoCompleteTextView not displaying result even when the ArrayAdapter is updated

    I'm trying to get an AutoCompleteTextView(ACTV) to display results I'm a getting from a network resource. I have set the completion-treshold to 2 and I can see that the request is fired when I enter to characters. The result I am getting is the correct one. Lets say I write "ca", and I get the result "car" as an autocompletion. I have a callback function which receives the result from an AsyncTask and puts the result into the ArrayAdapter. Then I call .showDropDown() on the ACTV and an empty dropdown is shown (half the size of a normal element). Then if I enter the last letter "r" and the ACTV shows "car", the dropdown is shown and the result is suddenly in the list. The same happens if I have entered two characters (which returns a valid result), and the remove the last letter. When the letter is removed, "car" is shown as an autocompletion value. Has anyone had this problem? It looks like the adapter is filled with the result, but the result does not show until the next action I do. I have also tried to run .notifyDataSetChanged() after I have added the result to the adapter, but that should not be needed, or?
