  • CUPS Server compiled for Windows?

    Is there a version of the CUPS server available for Windows? Looking at the CUPS source code it seems it is ready for Visual Studio compilation, but I did not find any trace of an actual supported package. I'd like to set up a CUPS server on Windows so that I can print form Linux/MacOSX/Win clients to printers I set up on this server.

    So I am required to write a fairly basic Windows service and have never done so before. Of C#, C++ (the Visual Studio suite), what is the best language to develop in? I am a student, and am most familiar with OO languages such as Java.     I moved an ASP.NET application from a XP to a new server and now I have this exception: 'System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission, mscorlib, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, On this line code: System.Threading.Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = new System.Globalization.CultureInfo("it-IT"); My server is so configurated: Windows XP 2003 Sever SharePoint MS Visual Studio 2008 Team System Workgroup Server I tried to change security setting, machine.config.     In all examples I can find as well as the automatically generated code i Visual Studio, events are set using the following code: button1.Click += new System.EventHandler(this.button1_Click); But I can also write it visually cleaner by omitting the constructor wrapper: button1.Click += this.button1_Click; Which also compile fine. What is the difference between these two? And why is the first one mostly used/preferred?

  • How can I display different icons for same file extension

    Visual Studio has *.SLN files for 2008, and 2010. In explorer, the icon associated with the file is based on the version somehow. I was always under the impression that the associated icon just looked at the extension, but obviously there is more going on. I'm asking on stack overflow as a developer - for my application, but if you feel this belongs on another forum, I'm happy to move the discussion elsewhere. Thank you!

    I'm looking for code coverage solution which works with silverligt. It must also work with msbuild because we run all the other unit tests automatically in the build server. Integration with Visual Studio and/or resharper is a plus and I have nothing against easy setup or a pointer to a tutorial. I don't usually modify the build files and unfortunately I don't have time to learn msbuild at the moment.
