• How do I call window.openDatabase from a webView hosted in an android application?

  I created a native Android app that basically hosts a webView control. That webView is then used to load a page that calls window.openDatabase from JavaScript. I can successfully confirm that the API exists by verifying window.openDatabase. Calling this method returns a null when called in a hosted webView control. Calling the same method in the Android Browser returns an instance of the database. Does anyone know the permessions in the manifest or settings on the webView control that need to be set to access the database? Is this even possible in a native app.

• ASP.NET / WCF - Execute Server.Execute Asynchronously

  Hello, I need to run the HttpContext.Current.Server.Execute method in my ASP.NET application. This application has a WCF operation that does some processing. Currently, I am to do my processing correctly from within my WCF operation. However, I would like to do this asynchronously. In an error to attempt this asynchronously, I tried running Server.Execute in the DoWork event handler of a BackgroundWorker. Unfortunately, this throws an error that says "object reference not set to an instance of an object" The HttpContext element is not null. I checked that. It is some property nested in the HttpContext object that appears to be null. However, I have not been able to identify why this won't work. It happens as soon as I move the processing to the BackgroundWorker thread. My question is, how can I asynchronously execute the Server.Execute method? Thank you,

• Is there a better way than this to find out if an IsolatedStorage file exists or not?

  I'm using IsolatedStorage in a Silverlight application for caching, so I need to know if the file exists or not which I do with the following method. I couldn't find a FileExists method for IsolatedStorage so I'm just catching the exception, but it seems to be a quite general exception, I'm concerned it will catch more than if the file doesn't exist. • Hyperic HQ- Monitor process statistics for 50+ processes on Linux machine

  Is there an easy way to get metrics on all processes that start with the letters XYZ? I have about 80 processes that I have to monitor individually that all start with the prefix XYZ. I have created a query using the sigar shell: ps State.Name.sw=XYZ, which will give me a list of the processes that I want. What I need to do is define this list of processes through said query and collect and track statistics from the Process service: http://support.hyperic.com/display/hypcomm/Process+service What I need is 3 or 4 key statistics for each of the XYZ processes defined by my query to show up as graphs in the web front end. Note: Hyperic HQ server is installed on a windows machine and I'm monitoring a Linux box via an agent.   Reading the Mod_Perl module documentation, can we configure it on per domain basis, what I mean can we configure it to run on every domain or specific domain only. I can't declare the interface methods as in-line when creating the dialog because I want to access variables in my class. Every other interface passes some sort of id to its methods to identify which object called the method, but I can't seem to do anything with 'DialogInterface dialog'.

• .NET invoking against an arbitrary control.

  I have a method which takes in a .NET control and calls invoke against it like so: Form.Invoke(Target); However, I've run into an issue numerous times calling this method where due to timing or whatever, the form handle on the form doesn't exist, causing a Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created error. In frustration, I jokingly changed the code to: MainForm.Invoke(Target); where MainForm is the main window of the application (the form handle for the main form is created at startup and remains active for the entire life cycle of the application). I ran all the tests and manually tested the application and everything seems to work fine despite the fact that this is used everywhere. So my question is, what exactly is the meaning of invoking against a specific control? Is there any downside to just always invoking against a control you know will be active? If not, why does .NET have you invoke against a control in the first place (instead of just creating a static GuiThread.InvokeOnGuiThread(Blah);)?

  Hi I am wondering is it possible to clear the cache from a particular ajax method? Say if I have this $.ajax({ url: "test.html", cache: true, success: function(html){ $("#results").append(html); } }); Now 99% of the time a cached result can be used since it should always be same content. However if a user updates this content it of course changes. If it is cached and it would still show the old content. So it would be cool if I could pick out this cache for this method and clear it and all other cached stuff would stay. Can this be done?

  Hi, I want to create an object, let's say a Pie. class Pie def initialize(name, flavor) @name = name @flavor = flavor end end But a Pie can be divided in 8 pieces, a half or just a whole Pie. For the sake of argument, I would like to know how I could give each Pie object a price per 1/8, 1/4 or per whole. I could do this by doing: class Pie def initialize(name, flavor, price_all, price_half, price_piece) @name = name @flavor = flavor @price_all = price_all @price_half = price_half @price_piece = price_piece end end But now, if I would create fifteen Pie objects, and I would take out randomly some pieces somewhere by using a method such as getPieceOfPie(pie_name) How would I be able to generate the value of all the available pies that are whole and the remaining pieces?   I tried to add a second LAN addresses in CentOS 6.3 on a brand new install and it's not working. I installed a new copy of CentOS 5.7 and tried the same and it worked right away.   Hiii.... I am developing small spring application. I have to store the details of the student information in the database. I have develop one simpleformcontroller.I have used netbeans + hibernate mapping + spring. when I deploy the project,the following errors is occured. please help me.. Thanks in advance.....
