    I have a page that I want to redirect to that requires parameters in the URL: http://www.mysite.com/myController/myAction/param1:val1/param2:val2 I know that there is a Cake PHP redirect function for redirecting that works as follows: $this->redirect(array("controller" => "myController", "action" => "myAction", $data_can_be_passed_here), $status, $exit); How do I add the parameters that I want as part of the url using the above function? I would think that there might be another element that I could add to array so that I can pass along "param1:val1" and "param2:val2". Any help would be greatly appreciated!

But general - it doesn't add a separator after the last element! I uses it for ASP.NET coding for separating with "<br />" or Environment.NewLine. So I want to add an empty row after each row in asp:Table. What method of IEnumerable<TableRow> can I use for the same functionality?

  • $_POST goes empty after adding a new input type "file"

    Hi, I'm not finding a way to understand and fix this and I've done a lot. I've got a script, wish is a simple form, that sends a file trough POST. The second file, process the info. By default, I give to the user a few fields, one of them being a input field of type "file" and there's also, a few "hidden" one's, that gives me values to work with on POST. I found that, when adding a new input of type "file", the $_POST returns array 0, even $_FILES returns nothing. I have no idea how to fix this, and it works just fine when keeping the default input box of type "file". This is the form http://pastie.org/872488 This only happens when: Exists! var_dump( $_POST ), or $_FILES, print_r(), etc Returns nothing. I've tryed to create a array on the input of type "files", like img_p_child[], but nothing. How to solve this ? Thanks for taking your time!

    I want to make this clear up front : I know how this trick works, what I want is a link to a clear explanation to share with others. One of the answers to a C macro question talks about the "X macro" or "not yet defined macro" idiom. This involves defining something like: #define MAGIC_LIST \ X(name_1, default_1) \ X(name_2, default_2) \ ... Then to create, say, an array of values with named indices you do: typedef enum { #define X(name, val) name, MAGIC_LIST #undef X } NamedDefaults; You can repeat the procedure with a different #define for X() to create an array of values, and maybe debugging strings, etc. I'd like a link to a clear explanation of how this works, pitched at someone who is passably familiar with C. I have no idea what everyone usually calls this pattern, though, so my attempts to search the web for it have failed thus far. (If there is such an explanation on SO, that'd be fine...)

  • Graph call "/me/friends" doesn't contain names if called from a testuser

    When I log into Facebook with my account and call the Graph API with /me/friends it returns an array like this: [ {id: "6868...", name: "John Smith"}, {id: "7531...", name: "Diane Smith"}, ... ] But if I'm logged in with a Facebook testuser and do the same call I get an array like this: [ {id: "100002927..."}, {id: "100003151..."}, ... ] So I'm missing the name property. Bug? Or did I some mistake? I'm using the JS SDK, but I think that doesn't matter.

    So I know that you use a backslash to escape most things in php however the @ symbol is an operator that suppresses error messages. I'm trying to put an email string like this inside of an array "[email protected]", however php is throwing an error. How do you escape the @ sign? EDIT: Here is the code example that was throwing the error: $arr = array(3=> "[email protected]",4=> "[email protected]"); However replacing the double quotes with single quotes fixes the error as answered below.... why is that true?

  • Table not Echoing out if another Table has a Zero value

    Hello, The table below with mysql_query($sqlStr3) (the one with the word "Joined" in its row) does not echo if the result associated with mysql_query($sqlStr1) has a value of zero. This happens even if mysql_query($sqlStr3) returns a result. In other words, if a given loginid has an entry in the table "login", but not one in the table "submission", then the table associated with mysql_query($sqlStr3) does not echo. I don't understand why the "submission" table would have any effect on mysql_query($sqlStr3), since the $sqlStr3 only deals with another table, called "login", as seen below. Any ideas why this is happening?   • Improve performance of sorting files by extension

    With a given array of file names, the most simpliest way to sort it by file extension is like this: Array.Sort(fileNames, (x, y) => Path.GetExtension(x).CompareTo(Path.GetExtension(y))); The problem is that on very long list (~800k) it takes very long to sort, while sorting by the whole file name is faster for a couple of seconds! Theoretical, there is a way to optimize it: instead of using Path.GetExtension() and compare the newly created extension-only-strings, we can provide a Comparison than compares starting from the LastIndexOf('.') without creating new strings. Now, suppose i found the LastIndexOf('.'), i want to reuse native .NET's StringComparer and apply it only to the part on string after the LastIndexOf('.'). Didn't found a way to do that. Any ideas?

    As a continuation of my min/max across an array of objects I was wondering about the performance comparisons of filter vs map. So I put together a test on the values in my code as was going to look at the results in FireBug. This is the code: var _vec = this.vec; min_x = Math.min.apply(Math, _vec.filter(function(el){ return el["x"]; })); min_y = Math.min.apply(Math, _vec.map(function(el){ return el["x"]; })); The mapped version returns the correct result. However the filtered version returns NaN. Breaking it out, stepping through and finally inspecting the results, it would appear that the inner function returns the x property of _vec but the actual array returned from filter is the unfiltered _vec. I believe my usage of filter is correct - can anyone else see my problem?

    I am rebuilding an ecom site where the product data is stored in a multidimensional JS array that gets loaded on page load. This data is constantly being accessed with JS due to the nature of the site, to update prices based on user selections. There are many options that affect final price. From a programming standpoint, a DB table is much easier to maintain and update than are JS arrays, and since I am porting the site over to PHP and MYSQL, I have been considering moving these arrays into tables. So, would it be better to populate an array from the DB on load so that the pricing data is always available to the JS, or stay with hard coded JS files? I considered getting data via ajax as needed, but since this site has to constantly update pricing with user interaction, I have pretty much ruled that out. How would you handle it?

  • youtube - video upload failure - unable to convert file - encoding the video wrong?

    I am using .NET to create a video uploading application. Although it's communicating with YouTube and uploading the file, the processing of that file fails. YouTube gives me the error message, "Upload failed (unable to convert video file)." This supposedly means that "your video is in a format that our converters don't recognize..." I have made attempts with two different videos, both of which upload and process fine when I do it manually. So I suspect that my code is a.) not encoding the video properly and/or b.) not sending my API request properly.     I have a program written in C that has to input and output JSON over a local domain socket. I've found several C / JSON libraries that 'almost work' through searches. Prior to taking one of the libraries that I found .. I want to be sure that I'm not over-looking a library that is commonly found on modern Linux distros. I'd also really appreciate links to libraries that you use. Most likely, I'll just drop it in tree, unless I realize that I've over looked something widely distributed. I am tagging this as subjective because the answer that I select is the one linking to a library that works for me, that does not mean its the 'best' library. I want to take an existing array and easily convert it to a buffer that can be sent, or take a buffer and easily convert it into an allocated array. Thanks in advance!

    What's the quickest and easiest way to convert my json, containing the data of the objects, into actual objects with methods attached? By way of example, I get data for a fruitbowl with an array of fruit objects which in turn contain an array of seeds thus: {"fruitbowl": [{ "name": "apple", "color": "red", "seeds": [] },{ "name": "orange", "color": "orange", "seeds": [ {"size":"small","density":"hard"}, {"size":"small","density":"soft"} ]} } That's all nice and good but down on the client we do stuff with this fruit, like eat it and plant trees... var fruitbowl = [] function Fruit(name, color, seeds){ this.name = name this.color = color this.seeds = seeds this.eat = function(){ // munch munch } } function Seed(size, density){ this.size = size this.density = density this.plant = function(){ // grow grow } } My ajax's success routine currently is currently looping over the thing and constructing each object in turn and it doesn't handle the seeds yet, because before I go looping over seed constructors I'm thinking Is there not a better way? success: function(data){ fruitbowl.length = 0 $.each(data.fruitbowl, function(i, f){ fruitbowl.push(new Fruit(f.name, f.color, f.seeds)) }) I haven't explored looping over the objects as they are and attaching all the methods.
