• Retrieving GET variable via PHP, send to SWF on same script?

  Is it possible to retrieve a GET variable within a PHP script and subsequently send the variable data to an SWF on the same script/document? I want the user to select an item on a PHP document and then use a Flash application I am developing to manipulate that data. I know how to load data from a PHP script into an SWF via URLLoader, but only by initiating the loading process from within the SWF. So, I am asking if it's possible to send the PHP data to the SWF from external source. Would the SWF need to listen in some manner? Is Javascript necessary here? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

• Android png images big in memory

  i have an application in android that has an imageflipper. Problem is, after about 8 images loaded to memory, i get an out of memory error. Well, i tried to do dynamic image loading, so that if the user flips 2 images, i'll load next 2 to memory and delete 2 first ones. It kind of works, but it ugly and i have trouble when user flips images back(imageflipper.showprevious()), i can't really shift all images and place new images to the beginning. My question is, is there a better way to do this kind of stuff? Resizing images didn't really help.

• JQuery .get() only passing first two data parameters in url

  I have a $.get() call to a PHP page that takes 4 GET parameters. For some reason, despite giving the $.get() call all 4, it only passes the first two. When I look at the dev console in chrome, it shows the URL that gets called, and it only passes action and dbname.   Is someone able to explain the meaing of the following statment, and the type of php it is reffering to so I can do further research: $foo = ($variation_id>0) ? $variation_id : $item_id; I have tried search but don't really know what i'm searching for. • Edit very large sql dump/text file (on linux)

  I have to import a large mysql dump (up to 10G). However the sql dump already predefined with a database structure with index definition. I want to speed up the db insert by removing the index and table definition. That means I have to remove/edit the first few lines of a 10G text file. What is the most efficient way to do this on linux? Programs that require loading the entire file into RAM will be an overkill to me.

• Problem with the row count transform

  Hi, I currently deployed an SSIS package (Developed on the 2005 version) (developed on my local server) in a pre production environment for testing. I have used the Row count transform to get a count of good/bad records. It works fine on my local system . However when i deploy this on the pre prod server, the row count does not work! (as in it does not recognize the vairbales i have assigned to the relevant transofm - no drop down abvaliable in the variables attribute part. tried deleting and adding a new transoform.. no luck. Strangely this does not work for any of the other packages also present/deployed on the same server (tried this out by dropping an rc tramsform onto an existing package... same problem) Any suggestions? I realize I could remove everything and then add what I need with .removeClass() but this won't work for me as after I previously added the message class I did some CSS changes and these will be lost if I remove all and then add again the message class.

  I am trying to create a gallery of inline content with Fancybox 2, and am failing miserably. I checked out some other resources online and they seem to indicate doing this relatively easily, yet, I cannot seem to get it to work. Any ideas?

  I'm building a database class and thought it'd be a good idea to incorporate some form of SQL injection prevention (duh!). The problem I'm facing is if I just use mysql_real_escape_string($sql, $this->link); then it escapes the entire query and leads to a SQL syntax error. How can I dynamically find the variables that need to be escaped? I want to avoid using mysql_real_escape_string() in my main code blocks, i'd rather have it in a function. Thanks.

• How do I link to another action in Magento whilst passing a parameter to the controller?

  I need to pass a parameter, because I would like to redirect back to the module and query string of the current page. So I can get from showdown/index?id=35 --click--- showdown/vote?id=1 showdown/vote?id=1 --redirect-- showdown/index?id=35 The vote action is not seen. (The redirect method doesn't work as it takes the index.php url only and no actions, and I cannot find a helper in Magento for creating hyperlinks.) Does Magneto have a link helper for this? Example of stuff I want: <a href="<?php echo Mage::Helper->Link->($url, $array); ?> then $array or whatever variables gets sent to the controller.

  Im trying to improve the following CASE statement to calculate the difference only once. I do it to avoid negative numbers: SELECT (CASE WHEN ((SELECT 100 - (SELECT COUNT(CustomerId) FROM Customers)) > 0) THEN (SELECT 100 - (SELECT COUNT(CustomerId) FROM Customers)) ELSE (0) END) This not only looks stupid, but also is not thread-safe. I tried the following, but I get an error message "Invalid column name 'diff'." SELECT (CASE WHEN ((SELECT 100 - (SELECT COUNT(CustomerId) FROM Customers) as diff) > 0) THEN (diff) ELSE (0) END) How can this be simplified? Is there an in-built SQL function that already does this job? EDIT: Sorry, forgot to mention that the select statement is inside of a view declaration, so I cant declare variables.

• Load custom class properly

  I have a custom class which I want to "load" inside the firstViewController and then access it from other classes by segues. My Problem is, I can't even access and change the instance variable inside the firstViewController. Somehow I'm "loading" it wrong. Here is the code I used until now: inside viewController.h @property (strong, nonatomic) myClass *newClass; inside viewController.m @synthesize newClass; I then try to access it by: self.newClass.string = @"myString"; if(newClass.string == @"myString"){ NSLog(@"didn't work"); } Well, I get "didn't work". Why is that? When I write myClass *newClass = [myClass new]; It does work. But the class and its properties gets overwritten every time the ViewController loads again. What would you recommend? • Why doesn't this require_once statement find the file? (PHP)

  I not sure what's going on..maybe I missed something simple. In my connectvars.php file, I connect to the database using the variables in my config.php folder. Here's the hierarchy: admin(folder) config.php includes(folder) connectvars.php I want to get information from config.php to use in connectvars.php, so I use: require_once("../admin/config.php"); But everytime I do this I get Warning: require_once(../admin/config.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/a8879415/public_html/includes/connectvars.php on line 2 BUT when I type: require_once("admin/config.php");, it works. I thought I had to go up a level, then go down to admin, then get config.php. So how come I just need to go into the admin folder then get config.php?

  Good day! I have 2 Projects in my Eclipse. MainActivity1 and MainActivity2 are the names of the activities. The MainActivity2 is connected to the MainActivity1 via Project in the properties of the MainActivity1. So far, I can call the package of the MainActivity2 from the MainActivity1. Now, below are my problem: I have a button in MainActivity1. What I want to do is after I click on the button in the MainActivity1, it runs the MainActivity2 project and some variables will be passed on to the MainActivity2. I've been searching in google for a while now and I couldn't get the right keyword for it. I've checked some of the questions here in StackOverflow but I'm unable to locate the problem similar to mine with calling and running the MainActivity2 class from the MainActivity1.java I'm a noob in Android Java but have knowledge in other OOP.   I have an issue with the below code: the jQuery.each is speeding on without waiting for the JSON request to finish. As a result, the 'thisVariationID' and 'thisOrderID' variables are being reset by the latest iteration of a loop before they can be used in the slower getJSON function.
