  What is the data inputted into DSA when PGP signs a message? From RFC4880, i found A Signature packet describes a binding between some public key and some data. • Customize jQuery.aptags plugin - mouseclick submit from dropdown list

  Hello, I am using jquery.autocomplete.js and jquery.apitags to select a few elements from a dropdown list. This works great, and I can select multiple elements etc. However the jquery-aptags plugin does only fire when enter is pressed. This might confuse some users if they use the mouse to click instead of the arrows/enter on the keyboard.   Hi, I have hosted a website. But now my client asks to change it to http://sites.google.com. They hav registered their domain in google. I logged in the site and saw the procedures to create a website from scratch. But is there any way to directly replace the site into google sites. Like, in my site i hav included css files in a folder called stylesheets/css and access it through the link tag. And there are several folders lik that, viz images, scripts etc. 1.Now if i have to transfer it to google sites, where do i create the folders and stuff. I have the priviliges to login to the admin part of the site. 2.And also is there anyway to create database and access it in google sites? 3.Also i see that only html pages can be created. Is there a way to add php pages or other scripting languages? 4.Going forward will google sites be usefull for professional web designing. pls give ideas on whether or not google sites is a good idea to go with

• Getting a variable into another class through properties or button tags with Iphone SDK?

  Hello. I have been pounding my head against a wall trying to figure out what I think is a simple thing to do, but I have, so far, been unable to figure it out with the iPhone SDK. I have a view with 4 buttons. When I push the buttons, I have another view called and come up to take over the screen. I want to have a simple variable passed from the old view to the new view. The purpose of this is to know what button was pressed out of the four identical ones. (trying to get an int value of 1 through 4) Here is what I have tried so far: I initially tried to call the variable from the class itself. My understanding was that my new view was only sitting on top of the old view, so it should not have been released. I could not get access to the variable as the variable was said to not be declared. I then tried to create a method that would return the int value. Again, the view class was not seen and was being declared as a "first use" of it. I then attempted to follow another similar post on here that suggested to try and send the button tag number to some part of the new view. I attempted to do this by setting the new views button title but I still cannot figure out a way to code it without coming up with errors. I am just looking for what method would be the best for me to pursue. I have no problem going back and reading the books on Objective-C, but I'm just trying to figure out which way I should concentrate on. Thank you for any insight.

I was originally using t.IsAssignableFrom(typeof(IEnumerable)) to detect if a Property I was traversing supported the IEnumerable Interface. (And thus I could cast the object to it safely) However this code was not evaluating to True when the object is a BindingList<T>. Next I tried to use t.IsSubclassOf(typeof(IEnumerable)) and didn't have any luck either. I just check to make sure it's valid. If it is, I forward to the main page of the app. <form action="/django/instaton/submit/" method="post"> {% csrf_token %} {{ form.as_p }} <input type="submit" value"Submit" /> </form> And there's my template (in the correct location). When I try to actually fill out the form and just validate it, even if I do so correctly, it sends me back to the form and says "This field is required" between Name and Content. I assume it's referring to Content, but I'm not sure. What's my problem? Is there a better way to do this?

• Triple Quotes? How do I delimit a databound Javascript string parameter in ASP.NET?

  How do I delimit a Javascript databound string parameter in an anchor OnClick event? I have an anchor tag in an ASP.NET Repeater control. The OnClick event of the anchor contains a call to a Javascript function. The Javascript funciton takes a string for it's input parameter. The string parameter is populated with a databound value from the Repeater. I need the 'double quotes' for the Container.DataItem. I need the 'single quotes' for the OnClick. And I still need one more delimiter (triple quotes?) for the input string parameter of the Javascript function call. Since I can't use 'single quotes' again, how do I ensure the Javascript function knows the input parameter is a string and not an integer? Without the extra quotes around the input string parameter, the Javascript function thinks I'm passing in an integer. Cheers in advance for any knowledge you can drop. • weird problem with load () or live () !!

  I load a page with load () and then I create dinamically a tag. Then I use live() to bind a click event and fires a function. At the end a call unload (). The problem is that when I load the same page again ( without refresh ) when on click the function will be fired twice. If I exit again (again with unload ()) and load the page again on click will fire 3 times and so on .... A sample of my code is: $('#tab').click(function() { $('#formWrap').load('newPage.php'); }); $('div').after('<p class="ctr" ></p>'); $('p.ctr').live('click', function(e) { if($(e.target).is('[k=lf]')) { console.log ('one'); delete ($this); } else if .... }); function delete () { $.post( 'update.php', data); } I have other $.post inside on this page and also on the above live fnc and all work well. The above one also works but like I said on the second load will fire twice and the 3 times and so on ... The weird part for me is that if replece the console with console.log ('two'); save the page and load the page without refresh it will fire on a different rows - one two - if I unload the page replace the console with console.log ('three'); and load again will fire one two and three. I try to use: $.ajax({ url: 'updateDB.php', data: data, type: 'POST', cache:false }); $.ajaxSetup ({ cache: false }); header("Cache-Control: no-cache"); none of this it's working. And I have this problem only on this fnc. What do you think, it could be the reason, it remembers it remembers the previous action and it fires again?

• Xpath fails if an element has a a xmlns attribute

  Im trying to use xml to parse a .COLLADA file. The problem is I can't seem to use xpath() to access elements if the root tag has a xmlns attribute. • Add ability to provide list items to composite control with DropDownLIst

  I'm creating a composite control for a DropDownList (that also includes a Label). The idea being that I can use my control like a dropdown list, but also have it toss a Label onto the page in front of the DDL. I have this working perfectly for TextBoxes, but am struggling with the DDL because of the Collection (or Datasource) component to populate the DDL. Basically I want to be able to do something like this: <ecc:MyDropDownList ID="AnimalType" runat="server" LabelText="this is what will be in the label"> <asp:ListItem Text="dog" Value="dog" /> <asp:ListItem Text="cat" Value="cat" /> </ecc:MyDropDownList> The problem is, I'm not extending the DropDownList class for my control, so I can't simply work it with that magic. I need some pointers to figure out how I can turn my control (MyDropDownList), which is currently just a System.Web.UI.UserControl, into something that will accept List items within the tag and ideally, I'd like to be able to plug it into a datasource (the same functions that the regular DDL offers). I tried with no luck just extending the regular DDL, but couldn't get the Label component to fly with it.

• building jquery checkbox - can't set checked value

  this seems straightforward enough, I don't know if it's a bug, or just something I'm doing wrong. What I want to do is build a checkbox input in jquery, then return the string of the input. I have this code: var obj = $('<input>'); obj.attr('disabled', 'disabled'); obj.attr('type', 'checkbox'); obj.attr('checked', 'checked'); // this does not work! no matter how i try to render this obj, the 'checked' attribute never gets outputted. So I have tried: $('<div>').append(obj).remove().html(); and it returns: <input type="checkbox" disabled="disabled" /> I have tried setting an id attribute, it makes no difference. I have also tried this but it doesn't work: obj.attr('checked', true); Any suggestions on how to get the input tag rendered with the checked attribute set to 'checked' (via jquery)? I realise I can just do this with string concatenation, but now I really want to know why it's not working the way it should.

• Java: attributes order in .jsp getting inversed

  Every single time I've read about the meta tags, the attribute where in this order for the description: <meta name="description" content="..." /> First name, then content. It's also like that in the Google Webmaster documentation. Basically, it's like that everywhere. Now in a .jsp (in XML notation) I've got the following: <meta name="description" content="${metadesc}"/> So it's name first, then content. Yet on the generated webpage, I get this: <meta content="...(200 chars or so here making it a very long line)..." name="description"/> Somehow the attributes have been inversed. Because the content follows the official W3C and Google recommendations, the content is a bit less than 200 characters long, which makes it a major pain to "visually verify" that the name attribute is correctly there (I've got to scroll). Anyway... Why are these attribute not appearing in the order defined in the .jsp? Can I force them to appear in the same order as I wrote them in my .jsp? I realize the resulting tag may be valid... But I can also imagine a lot of very creative ways to have valid tags which users would be very upset about. Does this make any sense to inverse these attributes? EDIT wow, just wow... If I invert the attributes in my .jsp (that is, writing them in the "wrong" order), then they appear as I want them to appear in the generated web page. (Tomcat 6.0.26 btw)

• Drupal-- How to place an image in Panels 3 panels and mini-panels, w/o views or nodes?

  Is it possible, through any modular functionality, to insert an image into a (mini-)panel, either through token replacement, or through an upload dialog, or through a file selection menu? Do I have to use views? Do I have to create nodes? Would the best way be to make a panel node, and then embed it in a mini-node, if I want a block-like panel that can be placed on multiple pages? I want to build a site with images in a particular layout as a small block, and make it very easy for my client to change those images in the future. I can think of some other ways to make this work, but it's driving me crazy that there seems to be no way to simply PUT an image in a mini-panel without having to upload it and hard-code an image tag. And since my client knows no HTML, coding it this way makes it un-helpful for him. And this mini-panel block is going to be used on a number of pages, and needs to be easily modified. I have been googling for about 45 minutes, and come up with nothing useful. EDIT: OR EVEN just put ONLY one image from an image field w/ multiple values in a panel region on a panel node?

• Starting with versioning mysql schemata without overkill. Good solutions?

  I've arrived at the point where I realise that I must start versioning my database schemata and changes. I consequently read the existing posts on SO about that topic but I'm not sure how to proceed. I'm basically a one man company and not long ago I didn't even use version control for my code. I'm on a windows environment, using Aptana (IDE) and SVN (with Tortoise). I work on PHP/mysql projects. What's a efficient and sufficient (no overkill) way to version my database schemata? I do have a freelancer or two in some projects but I don't expect a lot of branching and merging going on. So basically I would like to keep track of concurrent schemata to my code revisions. [edit] Momentary solution: for the moment I decided I will just make a schema dump plus one with the necessary initial data whenever I'm going to commit a tag (stable version). That seems to be just enough for me at the current stage.[/edit] [edit2]plus I'm now also using a third file called increments.sql where I put all the changes with dates, etc. to make it easy to trace the change history in one file. from time to time I integrate the changes into the two other files and empty the increments.sql[/edit]

• Are short tags *that* bad?

  Everyone here on SO says it's bad, for 3 main reasons: XML is used everywhere You can't control where your script is going to be run short tags are going to be removed in PHP6 But let's see closer at them: Last one is easy - it's just not true. XML is not really a problem. If you want to use short tags, it won't be a problem for you to write a single tag using PHP echo, <?="<?XML...?>"?>. Anyway, why not to leave such a trifle thing for one's own judgment? PHP configuration access. Oh yes, the only thing that can be really considered as a reason. Of course in case you plan to spread your code wide. But if you don't? I think most of scripts being written not for the wide spread, but just for one place. If you can use short tags in that place - why to abandon them? Anyway, it's the only template we are talking about. If you don't like short tags, PHP native template is probably not for you, why not to try Smarty then? Well, the question is: is there any other real reasons to abandon short tags and make it strict recommendation? Or, as it was said, better to leave short tags alone?

  In my JSF/Facelets application, I want to dynamically generate a breadcrumb trail from a list of page IDs using a custom tag: <foo:breadcrumbs trail="foo,bar,baz"/> This should generate something like: <h:commandLink action="foo" ... /> <h:commandLink action="bar" ... /> <!-- (etc.) --> My code looks something like this: <ui:repeat value="#{fn:split(trail, ',')}" var="key"> <h:commandLink action="#{key}" ... /> </ui:repeat> The problem with this code is that #{key} is interpreted as a method binding. However, I just want the string value of #{key} to be returned as the navigation outcome. How can I achieve this? The only thing I could think of was creating a dummy managed-bean that has an outcome field and an action handler, and invoke it like so: <h:commandLink action="#{dummy.click}" ...> <f:setPropertyActionListener target="#{dummy.outcome}" value="#{key}" /> </h:commandLink> with the dummy class defined like so: public class Dummy { private String outcome; public String click() { return outcome; } public void setOutcome(String outcome) { this.outcome = outcome; } public void getOutcome() { return outcome; } } That seems ugly though, and I don't know if it would work.

• How can I remove certain characters from inside angle-brackets, leaving the characters outside alone

  Edit: To be clear, please understand that I am not using Regex to parse the html, that's crazy talk! I'm simply wanting to clean up a messy string of html so it will parse Edit #2: I should also point out that the control character I'm using is a special unicode character - it's not something that would ever be used in a proper tag under any normal circumstances Suppose I have a string of html that contains a bunch of control characters and I want to remove the control characters from inside tags only, leaving the characters outside the tags alone. For example Here the control character is the numeral "1". Input The quick 1<strong>orange</strong> lemming <sp11a1n 1class1='jumpe111r'11>jumps over</span> 1the idle 1frog Desired Output The quick 1<strong>orange</strong> lemming <span class='jumper'>jumps over</span> 1the idle 1frog So far I can match tags which contain the control character but I can't remove them in one regex. I guess I could perform another regex on my matches, but I'd really like to know if there's a better way. • Block element, horizontal center aligned and minimum width possible

  Hi, I'm trying to have this block element to be horizontally aligned in the middle but at the same time I would like the width to be the minimum possible for the contents inside. But I don't think it's possible or I'm not able to do it myself... a#button-link { background: url("images/button-link.png") no-repeat scroll center left; margin: 12px auto 0 auto; display: block; width: 125px; height: 32px; line-height: 32px; padding-left: 35px; font-weight: bold; } This is my current code... The idea behind this is that the text for that tag could be slightly bigger or smaller depending on the user language and how much characters the same sentence has for that specific user's language. There's no way I can control but I still would like to have this element horizontally aligned to center. Is this possible with CSS?

• Read HTML file into email

  Ive written a script to send html emails and all works well. I have the email stored in a separate HTML file which is then read in usin a while loop and fgets(). However, i want to be able to pass variables into the html. For example, in a html file i may have something like.. <body> Dear Name <br/> Thank you for your recent purhcase </body> and i read this into a string like so $file = fopen($filename, "r"); while(!feof($file)) { $html.= fgets($file, 4096); } fclose ($file); I want to be able to replace "Name" in the html file by a variable and im not entirely sure on the best way to do this. I could always make my own tag and then use regex to replace that with the name once ive read the file into the string, but im wondering if there is a better/easier method to do this. (On a side note, if anyone knows whether its better to use file_get_contents instead of multiple calls to fgets, id be interested to know)
