  • TArray<Byte> VS TBytes VS PByteArray

    Those 3 types are very similar... TArray is the generic version of TBytes. Both can be casted to PByteArray and used as buffer for calls to Windows API. (with the same restrictions as string to Pchar). What I would like to know: Is this behavior "by design" or "By Implementation". Or more specifically, could it break in future release?

  • AuthResend query string being appended to URL

    One of our clients is having an issue where POSTBACK seems to be broken when they connect to our Sharepoint application. When they navigate to a URL, an erroneous query string gets appended to the URL, so the end of the URL becomes: .../default.aspx&AuthResend1908BC2350124b5095AB75012FA405BA this isn't something that appears on any other clients computers or ours internally. This is the only difference and it seems to be breaking their pages. I had a quick Google and it seems that it's to do with a Microsoft ISA server, but I have no experience with that. Is this a bug or setting on their ISA server?

  • i can't seem to get jquery ui multiselect plugin work with ajax

    i take a regular multiselect listbox and convert it to a jquery ui multiselect listbox by calling this: $(".multiSelectMe").multiselect(); As per the API, i call this method in the return of an ajax function $(".multiSelectMe").multiselect("select", "Item 1"); but nothing seems to happen. i can't figure out a way to have this programatically add items within an ajax call. i was thinking there was maybe another "refresh" method or something like that but i can't find any.

  • How to use WatiN to control browser tabs?

    I want to use WatiN with IE in a parallel setting, i.e. work with dozens/hundreds of pages at once. I've tried sticking it into a Parallel.For loop only to see the whole thing crash, so I'm thinking opening multiple tabs in the browser is the way to go. Can someone suggest how this can be done using WatiN (or just some IE-related API) or whether there's a better way? TIA!

  • Setup asp.net mvc application as subdomain website

    I'm trying to setup a local application on a subdomain on our company server. There is already an installation of sharepoint running on http://companyweb/, but I would like my application to run on http://orders.companyweb/. I tried creating a new website, leaving the IP address the same as it is for http://companyweb, and just changing the host header value to orders.companyweb. However, no matter where I try to access the site from (different computers around the network, including the server itself), I keep getting 404 errors. I then tried setting up a simple index.html and serving that up as the highest priority; however, I still got 404 errors. This makes me think that I have actually setup the site itself wrong. What should I change to be able to access this application correctly on all the local computers?

    Has anyone measured the rate of submission through a GSM modem? We are implementing a solution at the moment and are only able to submit at a rate of about one message every 3 to 5 seconds. We are not sure if this is a library/api problem or if our modem is just of poor quality. Has anyone had any experience with these devices and measured the throughput rate?

  • HttpOnly cookies on google app engine java

    Anyone know how I can use httponly cookies for sessions and cookies on the app engine? In the javadoc for the Cookie class, http://java.sun.com/javaee/6/docs/api/javax/servlet/http/Cookie.html#setHttpOnly(boolean) , there is a setHttpOnly method. I get a compiler error when trying to use it when developing for app engine though. The method was introduced in the Servlet 3.0 spec, so its pretty new.

    Hi, I want to delete one ABPerson (say, person) in address book then add another one (say new), since some parts of attributes may be reused, I want to clone 'person' to 'new', here is my question, it seems there is NO function to do this clone, I found ABRecordCreateCopy but it seems to be MAC specified, Is there any api I could use to avoid copy each properties one by one ?     Ok, so the initial search in StackOverflow shows nothing related for this question. So here it goes: Let's pretend for a moment that you're just getting started in a career in computer programming. Let's say that, for whatever reason, you decide to use the .Net framework as a basis for your programming. Let's also say that you've been exposed to some programming background, but not one in .Net, so it seems foreign to you at first. And lastly, you don't have the benefit of 25 years of exposure to the Win32 API, which explains why it seems so foreign to you when you start looking at it. So the questions are: What is a comprehensive overview of what .Net is? It appears to be a combination of a runtime environment, a set of languages, a common set of libraries, and perhaps a few other things...so it's about as clear as mud. Specifically, what are the key components to .Net? What is the easiest way to understand .Net programming with regard to available APIs? Which language would best suit beginning programming out of the "stock" languages that Microsoft has to offer? (C++, C#, VB, etc.) What are some differences between .Net programming and programming in a procedural language (aka Pascal, Modula, etc.) What are some differences between .Net programming and programming in a "traditional" object-oriented language? (aka Smalltalk, Java, Python, Ruby, etc.) As I currently understand it, the CLR provides a foundation for all of the other languages to run on. What are some of the inherent limitations of the CLR? Given the enormous amount of API to cover, would it even be worth learning a .Net language (using the Microsoft APIs) given that you would not have prior exposure to Win32 programming? Let's say you write a for-profit program with .Net. Can you resell the program without running afoul of licensing issues? Let's say you write a gratis (free) program with .Net.     I have a web application running in a kiosk, which is set up with greasemonkey so that we can customize little things about the application and ensure the customizations only occur at the kiosk. I have been digging through the GM api hoping that it would have some functionality to affect browser settings, but alas it looks like it only affects pages running in the browser. Is there a way for me to tell the browser to clear it's cache when a certain event happens in the application?

  • Why do my numbered headings break when I apply a watermark?

    I have an MS Word 2010 document. I am editing it in compatibility mode. I have heading 1s as a numbered list. When I apply a watermark to the document the headings break. The number and background shading remain correct, but the text "collapses" - so the word "Introduction" appears one letter wide with all letters drawn one on top of the other (you can open Font properties for the headings and see the entire word in the preview; font spacing shows as normal). Why does this happen? Windows 7, SP1. Opening doc over network from Sharepoint.

  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Server Core with AD Role having GUI Admin Console

    I would like to setup a machine with Windows Server 2008 R2 Server Core and install following server roles: Active Directory Domain Services Active Directory Federation Services Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (I'm not sure whether I actually need this one - see note below) I'm obviously going to install Enterprise Edition. Question Can I have an AD administration graphical user interface to manage Active Directory on Server Core machine? I would really like to have it, because I'm not so keen to do stuff using power-shell, because I've never managed AD as well, so a GUI would be much more helpful, because I could at least visualize it a bit better and maybe understand AD structures. Note: I'm setting up development environment machine as well and installing Sharepoint Foundation 2010 on in so it would use this AD machine.
