    Question: Is there any such thing as a programming language (other than an esoteric language such as BrainF@#$, or the languages PHP or VB) that you can "compile" into non-obfuscated PHP source code? Rationale: Swip wants to generate ordinary PHP code because it is so ubiquitous for the types of projects swip wants to do. Unfortunately swip would like to actually avoid writing PHP -- strange but true! Swip is crazy enough to want to generate PHP source code without having to type any PHP into Swip's editor.

    I have a basic interpreter in clojure. Now i need to implement for (initialisation; finish-test; loop-update) { statements } Implement a similar for-loop for the interpreted language. The pattern will be: (for variable-declarations end-test loop-update do statement) The variable-declarations will set up initial values for variables.The end-test returns a boolean, and the loop will end if end-test returns false. The statement is interpreted followed by the loop-update for each pass of the loop.     Hello, I was wondering if anyone ever tried to extract/follow RSS links using SgmlLinkExtractor/CrawlSpider. I can't get it to work... I am using the following rule: rules = ( Rule(SgmlLinkExtractor(tags=('link',), attrs=False), follow=True, callback='parse_article'), ) (having in mind that rss links are located in the link tag).     I have a web-app that requires two settings: A JDBC datasource A string token I desperately want to be able to deploy one .war to various different containers (jetty,tomcat,gf3 minimum) and configure these settings at application level within the container. My code does this: InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(); Context envCtx = (javax.naming.Context) ctx.lookup("java:comp/env"); token = (String)envCtx.lookup("token"); ds = (DataSource)envCtx.lookup("jdbc/datasource") Let's assume I've used the glassfish management interface to create two jdbc resources: jdbc/test-datasource and jdbc/live-datasource which connect to different copies of the same schema, on different servers, different credentials etc. Say I want to deploy this to glassfish with and point it at the test datasource, I might have this in my sun-web.xml: ... <resource-ref> <res-ref-name>jdbc/datasource</res-ref-name> <jndi-name>jdbc/test-datasource</jndi-name> </resource-ref> ... but sun-web.xml goes inside my war, right? surely there must be a way to do this through the management interface Am I even trying to do the right thing? Do other containers make this any easier? I'd be particularly interested in how jetty 7 handles this since I use it for development.     If have the following web.config: <configuration> <system.web> <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms name="MembershipCookie" loginUrl="Login.aspx" protection="All" timeout="525600" slidingExpiration="true" enableCrossAppRedirects="true" path="/" /> </authentication> <authorization> <deny users="?" /> </authorization> </system.web> <location path="Default.aspx"> <system.web> <authorization> <allow users="*"/> </authorization> </system.web> </location> </configuration> The application is an ASP.NET 2.0 application running on Windows 2008R2/IIS7.5. If the site's application pool is configured to run ASP.NET 2.0 and I browse to http://example.com then Default.aspx is rendered as you'd expect from the rules above. However if the application pool is set to run ASP.NET 4.0 I am redirected to the login page. If I explicitly specify http://example.com/default.aspx then all is good and default.aspx renders. I've tried rewriting / -> /default.aspx (using IIS UrlRewriter 2.0) but the result is still the same, I get kicked to the login page. I've also tried this with an ASP.NET 4.0 application with the same result (which is where the problem initially arose). The reason I tried this with a 2.0 application was to see if there was a change in behaviour, and it seems that / is handled differently in 4.0. So to summarise, using the configuration above the following is observed: ASP.NET Version Url Behaviour ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 http://example.com Renders Default.aspx 2.0 http://example.com/Default.aspx Renders Default.aspx 4.0 http://example.com Redirects to Login.aspx 4.0 http://example.com/Default.aspx Renders Default.aspx Is this a bug/breaking change or have I missed something glaringly obvious?

Alternatively, if your code is only ever going to run against mysql, you may enable query buffering by setting the PDO::MYSQL_ATTR_USE_BUFFERED_QUERY attribute. those are the only query/ies

    Hi all, I am facing a probleme with threads and sockets I cant figure it out, if someone can help me please i would really appreciate. There are the facts : I have a service class NetworkService, inside this class I have a Socket attribute. I would like it be at the state of connected for the whole lifecycle of the service. To connect the socket I do it in a thread, so if the server has to timeout, it would not block my UI thread. Problem is, into the thread where I connect my socket everything is fine, it is connected and I can talk to my server, once this thread is over and I try to reuse the socket, in another thread, I have the error message Socket is not connected. Questions are : - Is the socket automatically disconnected at the end of the thread? - Is their anyway we can pass back a value from a called thread to the caller ? Something like: <asp:CheckBox ID="chkSelected" runat="server" AutoPostBack="True" OnCheckedChanged="chkSelected_CheckedChanged" /> but I want to run a JS confirm dialog when the user click it, and if they were UNCHECKING it, I'd like to ask them if they're sure, and if so, postback and run my serverside code.     Hi, I am having a 2 instance load balanced and session replicated tomcat 6.0.20 cluster. Should sticky_session be set to true or false for in memory session replication. http://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/reference/workers.html mentions : Set sticky_session to False when Tomcat is using a Session Manager which can persist session data across multiple instances of Tomcat. where as /tomcat-6.0-doc/cluster-howto.html (Cluster Basics) mentions : Make sure that your loadbalancer is configured for sticky session mode.

  • DocumentFragment not appending in IE

    I have a select list which, when changed, pulls data via ajax and dynamically creates select lists. Then based on the data used to create the select lists (a type), I pull more data via ajax if i don't have it already and create the options for the select list and store them in a fragment. Then I append that fragment to the select list. This is zippy in FF3 and Chrome but either doesn't append the options at all or takes a long time (minutes) to append the options in IE7.
