    Authorize attribute are good to do some access control base on Action but suppose that I have some UI element in the layout that should note be output unless the user is authorize. I could possibly set some boolean in the ViewBag but that is not the good solution I guess. Somewhere in the Layout.cshtml: @if (ViewBag.IsAuthorized) { <li>@Html.ActionLink("Index", "Admin")</li> } Let me know if there is a better solution. Thanks.

    Hello! In my Ubuntu 10.10, following this tutorial, I don't face step 2. I mean, while installing the packets, I don't face anything related to configuration. Then, when I run a command, such a mysql -u root -p , I get this error: ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) As I see in other treads, ps aux | grep mysqld gives me just this output: 1000 4508 0.0 0.0 5172 760 pts/0 S+ 19:53 0:00 grep --color=auto mysqld What is happening??     I'm looking for a way to create a vCards from Outlook Contacts. Ive seen plenty of examples of how to do the reverse, but that's not what i want. I believe it will involve either the OpenSharedItem method or the OpenSharedFolder method but I havent seen any examples of how to implement this. Does anyone know of where I might find a sample or two? My end goal is to output all my Contacts as vCards to a folder.

    I need to get a path to the GIT on Max OS X 10.6 using Python 2.6.1 into script variables. I use this code for that: r = subprocess.Popen(shlex.split("which git"), stdout=subprocess.PIPE) print r.stdout.read() but the problem is that output is empty (I tried stderr too). It works fine with another commands such as pwd or ls. Can anyone help me with that?

It looks like the issue is due to the following line not working properly: builtin eval export $previousFilenameVar=$filename I have a some theories to explain why: in the original code, functions are declared and exported as readonly which makes them unable to modify global variable. I removed readonly declarations in the above sample, but probleme persists. Function calls are performed in $() which should make them run into seperated shell instances so variable modified are not exported to the main shell But I cannot manage to find a workaround to this issue...   • problem with mingw32-make

    hi, I'm quite new with makefile but I don't think the problem I got is caused by my noobness. Somehow if I try to execute mingw32-make from Users/(user)/Documents/myProject the output is "mingw32-make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop." if I just drag the folder with it to my Desktop and execute make, it works. Any ideas why does it behave like this or perhaps how to make it work from Documents directory too?
