• Visual Studio Team System 2008 - messy formatting/control characters/marks in source code

  Hi, I don't know what I did but somehow the IDE has started displaying a green dot whenever I press spacebar and a green arrowhead whenever I press TAB. The source has become littered with these characters all over and I am finding it very difficult to code in the presence of so many formatting marks. I have tried to search a solution on Google but couldn't perhaps enter the right keywords so haven't been able to fix the behavior. Is there any way I can stop VS2008 IDE from littering my source code with these green dots and arrowheads whenever I press spacebar/tab? I would be really thankful for this help. Thanks, -AL

• Cannot add library in VC++ 2008: My System is Different

I'm trying to link to gdiplus.lib and I tried to go to "Properties - Linker - Input - Additional Dependencies" to add the library but I do NOT have that section. I'm using Visual C++ 2008. Here's what I see: Common Properties Framework and References Configuration Properties General Degugging C/C++ Librarian Resources XML Document Generator Browse Information Build Events Custom Build Step I've checked every subcategory and there is NOT a "Linker" section or an "Input" section. How come my Property panel is completely different than everyone else's? Typical Microsoft crap I suppose...

  I have a java junit test that passes when run alone on a development machine. We also have a hudson job which runs all the tests, invoked via ant, on a Mac OS X 10.4 node with Java 1.5. The test was passing in the hudson build until recently but now (with no related code changes) one test fails everytime with the following error: Error Message Forked Java VM exited abnormally. • Strange error in PDF2SWF and no file is created

  I'm running Snow Leopard and using PDF2SWF via MacPorts. I tried this out using a simple PDF I made from text and it worked fine so I have a feeling this is a problem with my PDF. • App starts in 1.5 emulator but doesn't in 1.6

  My app works on 1.5 emulator and 1.5 device. When i try to start it on 1.6 emulator, it produces strange exceptions (doesn't even start). I don't have any 1.6 device to try this app if it works on a real device. I get some warnings in Eclipse ( warning: Ignoring InnerClasses attribute for an anonymous inner class that doesn't come with an associated EnclosingMethod attribute. This class was probably produced by a broken compiler.) and get cant rid of them (i think they come from some apache jars that i need to make http multipart posts). Is it possible that this jars are cause for my exceptions in 1.6 or is it something else?   hey all, when i run my flash file (test it) in the output panel i get the following error TypeError: Error #1010: A term is undefined and has no properties. i read some where, that this was caused because one of the variables is set to null. after looking at my code i found out that the following line was causing this output arrSelectedIndex[i] = -1; this is later on used as the selected index in a group of radio buttons. my question is, would having the selected index set to -1 be an issue ? thanks

• OPOS not working on 64 bit system

  Anyone have experience with OPOS? I can't get my app to recognize the LDNs for the devices running on a 64 bit machine. I've got down to the point where I know that the OleforRetail stuff is now under Wow6432Node in the Registry. I suspect the common controls can't find the LDN because of this. Is there any kind of workaround? Failing that, is there a centralized OPOS development forum somewhere? BTW: I work with the common controls supplied by Monroe Consulting. Thanks!

  So, I'm having difficulty trying to append/add a child div to the parent div, and thought someone out here may know the best way for me to go about this. I have attached my code (without PHP right now, just hard coding text and stuff). But here is what I am trying to do: When a message is posted, you hit the "Reply Button" and a new div will appear underneath containing the reply form. Right now, here are the issues I know about and can't get around: The DIV is a class, so when I use jQuery to try to target the DIV it targets everything since it's no unique.   hi havent found the solution yet in the forum. i want to call a function i created in the index.html via a objective-c function. As explained in stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString so the network detection doesnt work for me the function gets called but no javascript is called in the index.html here is the code i use - (void)updateReachability:(NSString*)callback { NSString* jsCallback = @"navigator.network.updateReachability"; if (callback) jsCallback = callback; NSString* status = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"%@({ hostName: '%@', ipAddress: '%@', remoteHostStatus: %d, internetConnectionStatus: %d, localWiFiConnectionStatus: %d });", jsCallback, [[Reachability sharedReachability] hostName], [[Reachability sharedReachability] address], [[Reachability sharedReachability] remoteHostStatus], [[Reachability sharedReachability] internetConnectionStatus], [[Reachability sharedReachability] localWiFiConnectionStatus]]; [webView stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString:status]; [status release]; } If i log the status the string i see can be executed in the index.html file, the syntax is ok. but it doesnt get called if i do alert( etc... it gets called... need some help pls, because network detection is a kill criteria to publish a app!!!   I'm creating a class that derives from List... public class MyList : List<MyListItem> {} I've overridden Equals of MyListItem... public override bool Equals(object obj) { MyListItem li = obj as MyListItem; return (ID == li.ID); // ID is a property of MyListItem } I would like to have an Equals method in the MyList object too which will compare each item in the list, calling Equals() on each MyListItem object. It would be nice to simply call... MyList l1 = new MyList() { new MyListItem(1), new MyListItem(2) }; MyList l2 = new MyList() { new MyListItem(1), new MyListItem(2) }; if (l1 == l2) { ... } ...and have the comparisons of the list done by value. What's the best way...?
