Hi Guys, I need to create a new data frame that excludes dams that appear in "dam1" and "dam2" columns on the same fosdate (fostering date). I tried df <- df[df$dam1!=dam2,] but did not work. Im running a asp.net website on windows 2003 ii6. Every 24-28 hours im getting the following error: When the error occurres all users are disconnected from the website. Event Type: Warning Event Source: W3SVC Event Category: None Event ID: 1013 Date: 02/02/2010 Time: 19:29:38 User: N/A A process serving application pool 'DefaultAppPool' exceeded time limits during shut down. The process id was '1660'. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. Any idea what does the error means? Is this related to application pool recycle? if so , is it a must to recycle iis pool? thanks!

How do I save user specific data in an asp.net site?

I just set up user profiles using asp.net 3.5 using wvd. For each user I would like to store data that they will be updating every day. For example, every time they go for a run they will update time and distance. I intend to allow them to also look up their history of distance and time from any past date. My question is, what does the database schema usually look like for such a set up? Currently asp.net set up a db for me when I made user profiles. Do I just add an extra table for every user? Should there be one big table with all users data? How do I relate a user I'd to their specific data? Etc.... I have never done this before so any ideas on how this is usually done would be very helpful. Thank you.

ngModel and component with isolated scope

I am creating simple ui-datetime directive. It splits javascript Date object into _date, _hours and _minutes parts. _date uses jquery ui datepicker, _hours and _minutes - number inputs. When I tried to use isolated scope - nothing works. ngModel.$viewValue === undefined. When I tried to use new scope (my example, not so good variant imho) - ngModel uses value on newly created scope. Of course I can create directive with isolated scope and work with ngModel value through "=expression" (example). But I think that working with ngModelController is a better practice. My questions: Can I use ngModelController with isolated scope? If it is not possible which solution is better for creating such component?

PHP File Serving Script: Unreliable Downloads?

This post started as a question on ServerFault ( http://serverfault.com/questions/131156/user-receiving-partial-downloads ) but I determined that our php script was the culprit. So I'm issuing an updated question here about what I believe is the actual issue. I am using a php script to verify permissions and then serve up a file for users of my website to download. Most of the time, this works, but recently one user has been seeing problems with larger downloads. He is only getting ~80% of downloads for files that are 100MB in size. Also, all downloads from this script fail to report a filesize. Further, tests revealed that the same user COULD reliably download each of the failed files if given a direct link (at which point the filesize is reported). Here's the relevant snippet of code that we are using to serve the file: header("Content-type:$contenttype"); $len = filesize($filename); header("Content-Length: $len"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=".$title.".".$ext); readfile($filename); Note that $contenttype, $filename, $title, and $ext are all set correctly before we get here. These have been triple-checked. None of them are the problem. Also, $len does provide the correct filesize. While researching this issue, I came across this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1334471/content-length-header-always-zero It seems that I am encountering the same issue. When I use the script, I get chunked encoding on the file and no size is set for content-length. I'm hypothesizing that something is going wrong on the large downloads, leading him to get a zero-length chunk before the end of the file. Is there a sample set of web log data available for testing analysis against?

Sorry if this isn't strictly speaking a programming question, but I figure my best chance of success would be to ask here. I'm developing some web log file analysis algorithms, but to date I only have access to a fairly small amount of web log data to process. One algorithm I want to use makes some assumptions about 'the shape' of typical web log data, and so I'd like to test it against a larger 'exemplar' - perhaps the logs of a busy site with a good distribution of traffic from different sources etc. Is there a set of such data available somewhere? Hi guys, I recently bought some webspace with dailyrazor.com. I have deployed an application I have been working on to the server and am currently trying to workout the bugs but I can't seem to solve this one. I have set up my database in Visual Studio to use the one I have create with dailyrazor the same db the deployed version will use. I am using British Dates and on my localhost datetime is displayed: 27/05/2010 09:00 However on the dailyrazor host it is displayed: 5/27/2010 9:00 AM Short Dates e.g. 27/04/2010 display the same on both servers. This is causing some issues when entering data as errors occur on date fields. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jon

How can I await the first completed async task of a list in .Net?

My input is a long list of files located on an Amazon S3 server. I'd like to download the metadata of the files, compute the hashes of the local files, and compare the metadata hash with the local files' hash. Currently, I use a loop to start all the metadata downloads asynchronously, then as each completes, compute MD5 on the local file if needed and compare. .NET Reflector and getters/setters issue

I'm using an up-to-date .NET Reflector to disassemble an internal legacy app whose source code is almost impossible to recover. I need to find the cause of a nasty bug, and then possibly patch it. Reflector did a good job as usual in the re-creation of the project's structure, but soon I discovered that every property call was left "expanded" to its get_() and set_() method signatures, rendering the source code impossible to compile. A quick Visual Studio "Search/Replace" with regex solved these cases, but it's awkward. Is there a way to make Reflector behave correctly?

subversion merge back to trunk

I set up a branch several weeks ago. When some changes were made to the trunk, SVN was committing to the branch, and not the trunk. The changes were minor and applicable to the branch anyway, so I assumed this is how the branch should work. Now that the branch work is finished, I merged back the branch back to my working trunk, assuming SVN would replace the old trunk with the new branch in the repository as well. That is not the case though. My repository trunk is out of date. I would like to make the repository trunk be same as the branch and then delete the branch. How can I do this? Hey there folks, Here is one that is throwing me for a loop. I am trying to set a simple cookie that has one name:value pair on IE8. Tested on FF and it works fine. IE8 keeps blocking it. How to allow users to select their own grouping for a .NET TreeView control

I am using a treeview to display projects, tasks, time entries, and the people who are working on a project. I would like to allow the user to define a custom grouping (ie. Project->Task->Time Entries or Project->Date (of time entry)->Task->TimeEntry). The relevant groups would be Project, Task, Time Entry, and Person, with some metadata from them. I want to have some modular way to allow a user to specify how they would like to display the information. Does anyone know of a good method by which this can be done? I currently have hard-coded a display which looks like this: Project Task Time Entry Next Project ... My thought is to do something like write methods to display each type and somehow let a user select what order the display would group. Please let me know if I am not being clear enough.

Fatal Error when using ADODB in VB6 on Windows Server 2003 SP2

We've got a legacy app (VB6) which works fine on an old Windows Server 2003 box and has been for many years. Recently we've had to move it to a different physical location and in doing this we cloned the box with virtualisation and placed it elsewhere. In theory these two environments should be identical. On the new box however the app falls over when calling the RecordCount method of an ADODB.Recordset. I should say that I can successfully read the ADODB.RecordSet.Properties.Count property with no problem on the line before. The event viewer reports the following: Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Error Event Category: (100) Event ID: 1000 Date: 28/09/2012 Time: 11:15:27 User: N/A Computer: APP01 Description: Faulting application Control.exe, version 1.0.0.6, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.4789, fault address 0x0002c6e4. I can only imagine there is something wrong with using ADODB within a virtualised environment. Any ideas?

SELECT * FROM table WHERE timestamp_field >= UNIX_TIMESTAMP('2010-04-14 00:00:00') AND timestamp_field <= UNIX_TIMESTAMP('2010-04-14 23:59:59') but there is no any performance bonuses. :(

How to track history of db tables that include many-to-many mapping tables?

I have seen several questions here on tracking db history, but can't seem to find one that matches our situation. We need to track the history of several tables, some of which are many-to-many linking tables. Eg say we have this schema: EntityA id name EntityB id name ABLink A_id B_id So, tracking changes to EntityA or EntityB seems pretty straightforward. We can keep a log table with the same columns plus a date stamp and user. But what about the links? How do we maintain the set of links that are valid for a given version of the data? We need to be able to recreate a history of the data showing changes in chronological order. So if a link added or deleted, we indicate that. Etc.

However, I tried executing something similar where the child process is a Python script: #!/bin/bash PYTHON=/usr/bin/python2.6 function myprocess { $PYTHON daemon.py start } NOW=$(date +"%b-%d-%y") until myprocess; do echo "$NOW Prog crashed. Restarting..." >> error.txt sleep 1 done Now the behaviour is completely different. It seems the python script is no longer a child of of the bash script but seems to have 'taken over' the BASH scripts PID - so there is no longer a BASH wrapper round the called script...why?

Are there Python ORMs out there that support multiple independent databases concurrently in use?

I'm writing an application in Python where I wish to use sqlite as the backing store for documents edited by the app, with documents generally living in memory, but being saved to disk-based databases when the application saves. Ideally I'd like to use something like an ORM to make access to the data from my Python application code simple. Unfortunately it seems like the majority of Python ORMs, including SQLAlchemy, SQLObject, Django, and Storm, associate the database connection (or engine or whatever) with the classes representing table data, rather than instances of those classes. This restricts these ORMs to working with a single database connection across all instances. Since I'd like to support having multiple documents open simultaneously, this isn't going to work for me. Are there any ORMs out there that support this usage model in Python? Bazaar seems to support this, but it's quite out of date, and at first glance appears to have some other shortcomings. Thanks for any suggestions!
