    Hi I have a table with the following structure: id int(11), name varchar(250) I have lots of records in the table but when I am trying to find a particluar record which has the following value on the name field: Lorem ipsum d\'olor sit amet The query is simply returning a blank recordset. I am not being able to figure out this weird behaviour, when my query is as simple as follows: SELECT * FROM slot_games WHERE name='Lorem ipsum d\'olor sit amet' Would appreciate your help please!   • Why does cloning the django inline formsets result to forms with similar ids and names?

    In my project I use django inline formsets. I got the jquery to clone the formsets but unfortunately the cloned forms have the same names and ids and so data entered in the last one overwrites the data from the first form. What could I be doing wrong?     Hello I am a little confused with regards to models in mvc 4 and thought someone may be able to point me in the right direction. This would be most appreciated. When they first register i do not need all the details such as telephone all i really need is there username, email address and password. Do i create another model for this. Or do i have one model and on the controller set the fields to null or empty string that are not required on registration. I have validation also so would this be set for data that has not been entered on the form. My question is ultimately should all forms represent models- should the database be redesigned to meet this required. Or should the controller set the values that are not required. Or should there be another model that represents the form be created which maps to this table. I am a little confused on this and clarification of anyone would be most appreciated.

  • Page does update with details from the database after i hit a button

    I have a code and the way it should work is,when they click on NEW CUSTOMER,it takes them to test1.php where in they enter the details and they hit submit.it saves all the details in properly in the database and when i go back and hit REFRESH ,it should come up with the customer details which they had entered in previously. But what happens is, when i click on the REFRESH,it refreshes the same old page which is empty.I wanted to find out where am i missing the logic.Thanks in advance.     I try to create php web app using GAE. In the GAE tutorial, "A script handler executes a PHP script to handle the request that matches the URL pattern. The mapping defines a URL pattern to match, and the script to be executed" Now I want to map the url with the file having same name in the folder, e.g. if the url is /hello.* , it will map the file name hello.php in the folder. And if it is /hello1.*, hello1.php in the folder will be responded to the server. I thought this should be done directly by mapping the name of the url with the name in the folder. But if I left empty for the handler in the app.yaml, I got an error. So I want to know how to set up the handler in app.yaml?

    Is it possible for python to accept input like this: Folder name: Download But instead of the user typing Download it is already there as a initial value. If the user wants to edit it as Downloads all he has to do is add a 's' and press enter. Using normal input command: folder=input('Folder name: ') all I can get is a blank prompt: Folder name: Is there a simple way to do this that I'm missing?

  • Why do I have to use the "origin" for the pull to be successfull

    when I do : git pull BranchName it tells me everything is up to date but I know that is not true. When I do: git pull origin BranchName then I get the files I was expecting. Is there an easy way to answer this or do I need to provide more details. PS One thing I did do just to understant themechanics of git is give the branch name in my cloned repo a different name than on the remote repo. I did however put the right name in the config file like so: [branch "myUDPspinoff"] remote = origin merge = refs/heads/UDPspinoff this worked before on another repo but not this one. And when I put everything in the same name thenI did not need to use origin anymore.

    hi all, I found this structure called OBJECT_ATTRIBUTE in one of the nt dll functions..I was curious to know about that structure and I went through its documentation(msdn)...In the OBJECT_ATTRIBUTE structure there is a parameter called PUNICODE_STRING objectName...As per the msdn documentation..it says that the objectName "the name of the object for which a handle is to be opened" which is actually a name or some root directory,am confused with this.Can anybody explain this term "name of the object"(root directory).what it represents.

  • AS or not to AS, queries

    I'm fairly new to PHP/MySql and using queries in general. I was just wondering if there's any benefit to using "AS" in a query other than trying to make it look cleaner? Does it speed up the query at all? I probably could have figured this out by a google search but I wanted to ask my first question and see how this works.     Hi folks, Here is my problem: I have a list of Python dictionaries of identical form, that are meant to represent the rows of a table in a database, something like this: [ {'ID': 1, 'NAME': 'Joe', 'CLASS': '8th', ... }, {'ID': 1, 'NAME': 'Joe', 'CLASS': '11th', ... }, ...] I have already written a function to get the unique values for a particular field in this list of dictionaries, which was trivial. That function implements something like: select distinct NAME from ... However, I want to be able to get the list of multiple unique fields, similar to: select distinct NAME, CLASS from ... Which I am finding to be non-trivial. Is there an algorithm or Python included function to help me with this quandry? Before you suggest loading the CSV files into a SQLite table or something similar, that is not an option for the environment I'm in, and trust me, that was my first thought.

    I am working on a simple gaming ladder script. I am having little to no luck trying to find an effective way to reset my ladder information while leaving my table id and name fields intact. I am trying to get create a loop to update my entire table, similar to the way I draw my table. Effective reseting my ladder for a new season to begin. The only way I have been able to complete this is to find out how many rows there are and run a for loop. It seems vary inefficient. Was hoping I could get some better insight as to how to go about this.

    I have a form I am submitting via jquery ajax. Early in the form, I have this field: <select name="inquirymodule[]" id="inquirymodule"> The user can add as many as they like, and all the selects go into the inquirymodule[] array. Trying to do the same thing with a date, like this: <input class="formInput" type="text" id="startBreak0" name='startbreak[]' /> adding startbreak: jQuery("select[name='startbreak[]']").serialize() to the ajax call. It doesn't work, I cannot see why. Suggestions?
