  • How do I convert this cURL command to PHP (libcurl)?

    - by Daddy Warbox
    In continuation off of this question, what are the PHP statements I need to accomplish this: curl -is -F 'J:A-login=BTDT::Action::Login' -F 'J:A:F-address-login=EMAILADDRESS' -F 'J:A:F-password-login=PASSWORD' http://hiveminder.com/splash | grep -o 'JIFTY_SID_HIVEMINDER=[0-9a-f]\+' The flags and fields are still mysterious, and I've not the time presently to swim through docs to figure out how this translates. I do at least understand the | grep ... portion, though.

  • How to return this XML-RPC response in an array using PHP?

    - by mind.blank
    I'm trying to put together a WordPress plugin and I want to grab a list of all categories (of other WordPress blogs) via XML-RPC. I have the following code and it looks like it works so far: function get_categories($rpcurl,$username,$password){ $rpcurl2 = $rpcurl."/xmlrpc.php"; $params = array(0,$username,$password,true); $request = xmlrpc_encode_request('metaWeblog.getCategories',$params); $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $rpcurl2); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, false); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array("Content-Type: text/xml")); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, 10); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $request); $results = curl_exec($ch); $res = xmlrpc_decode($results); curl_close($ch); return $res; } If I use $res I get the following string as the response: Array If I use $results then I get: categoryId17 parentId0 descriptionTest categoryDescription categoryNameTest htmlUrlhttp://test.yoursite.com/?cat=17 rssUrlhttp://test.yoursite.com/?feed=rss2&amp;cat=17 categoryId1 parentId0 descriptionUncategorized categoryDescription categoryNameUncategorized htmlUrlhttp://test.yoursite.com/?cat=1 rssUrlhttp://test.yoursite.com/?feed=rss2&amp;cat=1 I need to pull out the names after description so Uncategorized and Test in this case. It's my first time coding in PHP. I got these results by echoing them to the page, so not sure if they get changed in that process or not... By the way I modified the above code from one that posts to a WordPress blog remotely so maybe I haven't set some of the options correctly? With var_dump($res) I get: array(2) { [0]=> array(7) { ["categoryId"]=> string(2) "17" ["parentId"]=> string(1) "0" ["description"]=> string(4) "Test" ["categoryDescription"]=> string(0) "" ["categoryName"]=> string(4) "Test" ["htmlUrl"]=> string(40) "http://test.youreventwebsite.com/?cat=17" ["rssUrl"]=> string(54) "http://test.youreventwebsite.com/?feed=rss2&cat=17" } [1]=> array(7) { ["categoryId"]=> string(1) "1" ["parentId"]=> string(1) "0" ["description"]=> string(13) "Uncategorized" ["categoryDescription"]=> string(0) "" ["categoryName"]=> string(13) "Uncategorized" ["htmlUrl"]=> string(39) "http://test.youreventwebsite.com/?cat=1" ["rssUrl"]=> string(53) "http://test.youreventwebsite.com/?feed=rss2&cat=1" } }

  • Is there a true all-in-one solution for PHP Development?

    - by Alex R
    I'm looking for a "SINGLE INSTALLER" solution for PHP Development. Is there anything out there which will give me a nice IDE, Web Server, Debugger, Database, etc, on a single install image (*.msi or *.exe)? This of course would be completely opposite of Eclipse PDT, which requires you to search and locate a bunch of additional components which never quite work together.

  • Best way to manage JSON object via GET and POST in php.

    - by Kucebe
    My site does some short ajax call in JSON format, using jQuery. At client-side i'd like to send object just passing it in ajax function, without being forced to wrap it in an object literal like this: {'JSON_Obj' : myJSON_Obj }. For the same reasons, at server-side i'd like to manage objects without the binding of $_GET['JSON_Obj'] or $_POST['JSON_Obj']. For example, using file_get_contents("php://input"), i can manage POST requests in that way, but in GET format it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

  • PHP: Fastest way possible to read contents of a file.

    - by SoLoGHoST
    Ok, I'm looking for the fastest possible way to read all of the contents of a file via php with a filepath on the server, also these files can be huge. So it's very important that it does a READ ONLY to it as fast as possible. Is reading it line by line faster than reading the entire contents? Though, I remember reading up on this some, that reading the entire contents can produce errors for huge files. Is this true?

  • Creating a mySQL query using PHP form dropdowns - If user ignores dropdown, do not filter by that pa

    - by user303043
    Hello, I am creating a simple MySQL query that will be built from the user selecting options from 2 dropdowns. The issue I am having is that I would like each drop down to default that if they do not actually choose an option, do not filter by that dropdown parameter. So, if they come in, and simply hit submit without choosing from a dropdown they should see everything. If they come in and pick from only one of the dropdowns, the query will basically ignore filtering by the other dropdown. I tried making <OPTION VALUE='any'>Choose but my query didn't know what to do with the 'any' and just shows no results. Here is my code. Thank you very much for whatever help you can provide. FORM <form method="POST" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; ?>"> <select name="GameType"> <OPTION VALUE='any'>Choose Game Type <option value="Game1">Option 1</option> <option value="Game2">Option 2</option> <option value="Game3">Option 3</option> </select> <select name="Instructor"> <OPTION VALUE='any'>Choose Instructor <option VALUE="InstructorA">Instructor A</option> <option value="InstructorB">Instructor B</option> <option value="InstructorC">Instructor C</option> </select> <input type='submit' value='Search Videos'> </form> MYSQL <?PHP connection stuff $db_handle = mysql_connect($server, $user_name, $password); $db_found = mysql_select_db($database, $db_handle); if ($db_found) { $SQL = "SELECT * FROM Videos WHERE GameType=\"{$_POST['GameType']}\" AND Instructor=\"{$_POST['Instructor']}\""; $result = mysql_query($SQL); while ($db_field = mysql_fetch_assoc($result)) { echo $db_field['ShortDescription'] . ", "; echo $db_field['LongDescription'] . ", "; echo $db_field['GameType'] . ", "; echo $db_field['NumberOfPlayers'] . ", "; echo $db_field['Instructor'] . ", "; echo $db_field['Stakes'] . ", "; echo $db_field['UserPermissionLevel'] . ", "; echo $db_field['DateCreated'] . "<BR>"; } mysql_close($db_handle); } else { print "Database NOT Found "; mysql_close($db_handle); } ?>
