  • Reading Stacktrace in Objective-C?

    I don't like real-time debugging much, but if it's necessary I'll do it. Is there any way to figure out what line of code a StackTrace in Objective-C refers to? What about the variable it refers to?   • Where has XamlPad gone in .NET 4.0 / Windows SDK v7.1 / Visual Studio 2010?

    I can't find XamlPad anywhere after I installed .NET 4.0 / Visual Studio 2010 and Windows 7 SDK - v7.1. I tried searching C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\bin and did a dir /s xamlpad.exe to see if the Windows Index service didn't get to that folder yet. And it's not under Start Menu - All Programs - Windows SDK v7.1 -- Tools. Where has it gone? Did MS deprecate it? Thanks

    I do have single database and near about 11 tables. while my web page is opening informations from these 11 tables will be accessed same time. according to my current settings what I did now is for each table database is opening and closing. say I had given username and password to open databse for each table and close after retrieving information from that table. Is this the right way to do it?? I feel because of this the database is opeing and closing 11 times!!!! Am I right?? is this the right way to do that?? Oh well I do have some tables which update date is differ from others... THanks Mathew

That means we can use eight bits per thirty numbers to store all the primes; a million primes can be compressed to 33,334 bytes "That means we can use eight bits per thirty numbers to store all the primes" This "eight bits per thirty numbers" would be for k, correct? But each k value will not necessarily take-up just one bit. Shouldn't it be eight k values instead? "a million primes can be compressed to 33,334 bytes" I am not sure how this is true. We need to indicate two things: VALUE of k (can be arbitrarily large) STATE from one of the eight states (-13,-11,-7,-1,1,7,11,13) I am not following how 33,334 bytes was arrived at, but I can say one thing: as the prime numbers become larger and larger in value, we will need more space to store the value of k. How, then can we fix it at 33,334 bytes?

  • A good way in Visual Studio to have user entered time frame?

    Hi, Does anyone know of a good way to have a user enter an amount of time (hours and minutes) using visual studio controls? At the moment i have two numeric up downs, one for time and one for minutes that i then parse to create a timespan. The only other idea i have is a text box that a user can enter a "00:00" time in, and validate the input. Both of these ways seem a bit bad (in UI terms) though. Any ideas? Thanks

  • CakePHP Bake association problem

    I have only two tables in my database with a one-to-many relationship between them (user hasMany messages) and am trying to get basic CRUD functionality going. Bake detects the associations correctly and specifies them correctly inside the model classes, but in controllers and views it looks like Cake doesn't know anything about those associations -- I don't even get a select tag for user_id when I go add a new message. Has anyone come across this problem before? What can I be doing wrong? I also have a foreign key referencing td_domain_name.domain_id, but I don't think this should be interfering... Appreciate it!

Query query = new Query(Criteria.where("a").elemMatch( Criteria.where("startDate").gte(date) .and("endDate").lte(date) ); Which results in the following mongo query: { "margins": { "$elemMatch": { "startDate" : { "$gte" : { "$date" : "2009-11-03T23:00:00.000Z"}}, "endDate" : { "$lte" : { "$date" : "2009-11-03T23:00:00.000Z"}} } } } but returns no resulting documents.     Struggling with the following SQL problem Assume a three dimensional table with entries (h,t,q) 1,A,20 1,A,10 1,B,5 2,A,10 2,B,3 2,B,8 3,C,50 4,A,10 etc. I would like to extract 1,30 2,11 3,50 etc. group by first element and then return the maximum q value of same type, i.e. for header number 2 there are 10 As and 11 Bs, so return 11 The "max" element (A in case 1, B in case 2 and C in case 3) is irrelevant, I just need to get out the header and that maximum value. This shouldnt be too tricky, but cant get it to work. Using MS Access, but can use SQL within.

    I have a MySQL InnoDB table laid out like so: id (int), run_id (int), element_name (varchar), value (text), line_order, column_order `MyDB`.`MyTable` ( `id` bigint(20) NOT NULL, `run_id` int(11) NOT NULL, `element_name` varchar(255) NOT NULL, `value` text, `line_order` int(11) default NULL, `column_order` int(11) default NULL It is used to store data generated by a Java program that used to output this in CSV format, hence the line_order and column_order. Lets say I have 2 entries (according to the table description): 1,1,'ELEMENT 1','A',0,0 2,1,'ELEMENT 2','B',0,1 I want to pivot this data in a view for reporting so that it would look like more like the CSV would, where the output would look this: --------------------- |ELEMENT 1|ELEMENT 2| --------------------- | A | B | --------------------- The data coming in is extremely dynamic; it can be in any order, can be any of over 900 different elements, and the value could be anything. The Run ID ties them all together, and the line and column order basically let me know where the user wants that data to come back in order.

  • Can Visual Studio 2010 Test .net 3.5 SP1 Projects?

    I have some projects in a solution that are running on .net 3.5 SP1 (and can never ever be updated to 4.0 as they are SharePoint projects). When I try to create a new Visual C# Test Project in VS2010 Premium, I have to choose .net 4.0 which is apparently intended. Now I don't care about what my Unit Test project is (don't have to care about VS2008 users), but I do care if I can safely test 3.5 Projects in it due to the different CLRs and slight C# language differences?
