• Apache restart does not load new php.ini

  Never had this problem till updated CPanel today? Maybe that is part the problem?   I'm using mostly GCC to develop my library, but I'd like to ensure cross-compiler compatibility and especially standard conformance as much as possible. For this, I have add several -W... flags to command line. I'd also add -pedantic, but I have a problem with its warning about long long type. The latter is important for my library and is properly guarded with #if code, i.e. is not compiled on compilers that don't know it anyway. In short: can I have GCC in -pedantic mode warn about any extension except long long?

  Does anyone know of a C++ data structure library providing functional (a.k.a. immutable, or "persistent" in the FP sense) equivalents of the familiar STL structures? By "functional" I mean that the objects themselves are immutable, while modifications to those objects return new objects sharing the same internals as the parent object where appropriate. Ideally, such a library would resemble STL, and would work well with Boost.Phoenix (caveat- I haven't actually used Phoenix, but as far as I can tell it provides many algorithms but no data structures, unless a lazily-computed change to an existing data structure counts - does it?)

• Unable to generate tlb file from dll, used tlbexp

  I have a peculiar situation. I am trying to create a type library from a dll. The problem is that the type library gets created but the contents are not there. I get a message typelib filename: could not determine filename when I am trying to view the tlb using oleview. I am using tlbexp to create the tlb file. I have VC++ 2003 Toolkit and VS 2008 C++ Express edition installed and i tried tlbexp from both installs. Neither generated anything inside the tlb. Any help appreciated. Arpan

  I get this exception after i removed from my project the jars (pdfbox ,bouncycastle etc) and moved them to another folder but i included them in the build path ... at the first line eclipse shows this error( the constructor PDFParser(InputStream) refers to missing type InputStream) -altought FileInputStream is extended from InputStream- and i don't know why? • Grails/Compass question - How can I change the compqass Connection to point to a different directory

  Hi, I use the Searchable plugin with Grails I have the need to change the directory to which Compass points to, depending upon a UI choice by the user. Normally, this value is set in the compassConnection variable of the searchable map in grails-app/conf/Searchable.groovy, like so, and gets called at app startup time: searchable { compassConnection = new File( "/path/to/index/file/directory" ).absolutePath ... } To do what I need to do, I think that I need to get a handle into the compass config variable and then call config.setConnection("/new/path/to/index/dir") I don't know how I can get a reference to the config compass variable Am I right in assuming that I need to call setConnection(String) only, or is(are) there any other step(s) I need to take? Really appreciate any help that I can get, Shailen

• pager problem with drupal and taxonomy

  Ok, so this is probably a silly question, but i thought i'd put it out there anyway: I know it's a strange solution to a simple problem, but i needed to control the listing of the nodes in the taxonomy pages, which i didn't feel i got the traditional way. So i went ahead and created a module that fetches the nodes based on taxonomy (taxonomy_select_nodes()), and i wanted a pager to go along with that. The problem is that the pager prints before anything else. I suspect that it is because i call taxonomy_select_nodes before $output is returned, but i need it to get the nodes i want.   Hey all, I generate normal links like: <a href="/path/to/image"><img src="/path/to/image" /></a> in a web app. When I click on the link, it displays the picture in a new page. If you want to save the picture, then you need to right click on it and select "save as" I don't want this behaviour, I would like to have a download box popping out when I click on the link, is that possible just with html or javascript? How? If not I guess I would have to write a download.php scrit and call it into the href with the file name as parameter...? Greetings! :)

  There is a well known issue when it comes to using .NET value types in IronPython. This has recently caused me a headache when trying to use Python as an embedded scripting language in C#. The problem can be summed up as follows: Given a C# struct such as: struct Vector { public float x; public float y; } And a C# class such as: class Object { public Vector position; } The following will happen in IronPython: obj = Object() print obj.position.x # prints ‘0’ obj.position.x = 1 print obj.position.x # still prints ‘0’ As the article states, this means that value types are mostly immutable. However, this is a problem as I was planning on using a vector library that is implemented as seen above. Are there any workarounds for working with existing libraries that rely on value types? Modifying the library would be the very last resort, but I'd rather avoid that.

  Trying to get my Universal app released and I rely on AdMob ads for revenue in this particular app. I'm having an issue getting AdMob support working, though I keep finding references to people actually running AdMob on their iPad Simulators. Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'AdMobInvalidLibaryVersionException', reason: 'This version of AdMob SDK is incompatible with the iPhone 3.2 SDK or above. Make sure your Active SDK is set to 3.1.X . If you need to build with 3.2, use the 3.2 preview library.' I have not been able to find this "3.2 preview library" anywhere. Any ideas?

  I just downloaded Scrapy (web crawler) on Windows 32 and have just created a new project folder using the "scrapy-ctl.py startproject dmoz" command in dos. I then proceeded to created the first spider using the command: scrapy-ctl.py genspider myspider myspdier-domain.com but it did not work and returns the error: Error running: scrapy-ctl.py genspider, Cannot find project settings module in python path: scrapy_settings. I know I have the path set right (to python26/scripts), but I am having difficulty figuring out what the problem is. I am new to both scrapy and python so there is a good possibility that I have failled to do something important. Also, I have been using eclipse with the Pydev plugin to edit the code if that might cause some problems.

• SVN: is it possible to delete a branch that was copied removed etc for good?

  I have to remove a branch from svn history for good. Normally I would use svnadmin dump /path/to/repo |svndumpfilter --drop-empty-revs --renumber-revs exclude /branches/bad_branch However this branch was not just created, but also moved and then removed and dump script fails to process downstream information with messages like: Invalid copy source path '/branches/bad_branch' So I imagine 2 ways to cope with the problem keep only last few revisions of the history and put current repository as an archive on the web make a dump up to the revision where the 'bad_branch' was created and apply the rest of the changes as a patch, therefore losing history of a few recent commits. Is there a better, cleaner way to deal with this?

• Unit tests only run automatically when active SDK is "simulator"?

  I have followed the instructions Apple publishes for unit testing applications on iPhone and things work great when I set the active SDK to "iPhone Simulator". I have it configured to always build and run my tests as part of building the application itself. Apple implies (by omission) that this should work all of the time, but the tests are skipped when I set the active SDK to "iPhone Device". I am also linking with OCMock, and instead of a failing test, this warning is in the build log: ld: warning: in .../build/Debug-iphoneos/OCMock.framework/OCMock, missing required architecture arm in file It's very nice to make the unit test bundle a dependency of the main application, so these tests run at every build, but its utility is greatly diminished if it doesn't work during device builds. Is this a known, but undocumented, limitation?

  Hi, I'm trying to build a CCD document. My application has some raw data which has to be converted into a CCD document. And I've no idea where I should start from!! From this thread I learned that MDHT and Braid can be used to create a CCD document. But thats all I could grasp. I thought that I need a CCD XSD, a java library which will transform my raw data into a CCD document using this XSD ( or may be the library itself takes care of it ). But I'm stuck at both. I suppose the CCD XSD has to be purchased. If I get hold of the XSD, how should I proceed ahead? I got really confused reading the Braid and MDHT sites. Sorry, I'm a complete nOOb in this domain. Can anyone guide me?

• PHP Retrieve Cookie which was not set with setcookie

  I have the following problem - a third party software is setting a cookie with the login credentials and then forward the user to my app. I now need to retrieve the cookie values: The problem is - I can do this easily in the Frontend/AS3 with var ticket : String = CookieUtil.getCookie( 'ticket' ).toString(); but in PHP, the cookie is not within the $_COOKIES array. The cookie values are: Name: ticket Domain: .www.myserver.com Path : / Send for: encrypted connections only Expires: at end of session The one I see, and set before in PHP is: Name: myCookie Host: www.myserver.com Path : / Send for: any type of connection Expires: at end of session Actually, since host/domain are both the same, it should be visible in the PHP script, since it is running on this domain. However i am having a problem When I give the exact path relative to the current file i am working on then auto-completion is working fine. #include "../../opensource/inc/lldp_port.h" void test_func() { lldp_port port; port.blah //here auto-completion worked fine } However i cannot specify the full path all the time( we have eclipse at office and it generates makefiles for us ) #include "lldp_port.h" void test_func() { lldp_port port; port. //here auto-completion does not work :( } What should i do to solve this?

  I have a shell script to monitor process due to preventing the process closed. If the process is closed, that script will restart it. BTW, when the system starts, the crontab will run the script automatically.
