  • How can I implement incremental search on command line?

    I'd like to write small scripts which feature incremental search (find-as-you-type) on the command line. Use case: I have my mobile phone connected via USB, Using gammu --sendsms TEXT I can write text messages. I have the phonebook as CSV, and want to search-as-i-type on that. What's the easiest/best way to do it? It might be in bash/zsh/Perl/Python or any other scripting language.

When accessing m.site.com/new it will not display anything except return a server error. What can I do to correct this problem? Basically, I want http://m.site.com/new To achieve the same affect as http://www.site.com/new

This is going to run on a mobile device that I need to be performance conscientious of.

    Hi, I want to run C# programs on my HTC Magic, I can find the mono app on the Android market but I have no clue on how to run C# using. The code is just for fun, I don't want official support and such. After coding Visual Basic on windows mobile, I really want to code C# on Android, whether directly using some sort of editor if exists, or compiling it on a PC then installing it on Android.     I tested my Xamarin.Forms app on iOS and Android and found this difference when I change the orientation of the mobile device: On iOS, the app keeps the current page On Android, the app seems to restart using the default page (or probably pop all pages except the first one). Since I've never seen this behavior in another Android app, I'd like to disable it. Moreover, I don't think that this behavior is Android default. Which property do I need to set the make the Android target behave as the iOS target?

When they first register i do not need all the details such as telephone all i really need is there username, email address and password. Do i create another model for this. Or do i have one model and on the controller set the fields to null or empty string that are not required on registration. I have validation also so would this be set for data that has not been entered on the form. My question is ultimately should all forms represent models- should the database be redesigned to meet this required. Or should the controller set the values that are not required. Or should there be another model that represents the form be created which maps to this table. I am a little confused on this and clarification of anyone would be most appreciated.
