  • PHP Compare Two Arrays?

    - by Sjwdavies
I'm trying to compare two entries in a database, so when a user makes a change, I can fetch both database entries and compare them to see what the user changed, so I would have an output similar to: User changed $fieldName from $originalValue to $newValue I've looked into this and came accross array_diff but it doesn't give me the output format I need. Before I go ahead and write a function that does this, and returns it as a nice $mtextFormatDifferenceString, can anyone point me in the direction of a solution that already does this? I don't want to re-invent the wheel..

  • Compare structures of two databases?

    - by streetparade
Hello, I wanted to ask whether it is possible to compare the complete database structure of two huge databases. We have two databases, the one is a development database, the other a production database. I've sometimes forgotten to make changes in to the production database, before we released some parts of our code, which results that the production database doesn't have the same structure, so if we release something we got some errors. Is there a way to compare the two, or synchronize?

  • Vbscript - Compare and copy files from folder if newer than destination files

    - by Kenny Bones
Hi, I'm trying to design this script that's supposed to be used as a part of a logon script for alot of users. And this script is basically supposed to take a source folder and destination folder as basically just make sure that the destination folder has the exact same content as the source folder. But only copy if the datemodified stamp of the source file is newer than the destination file. I have been thinking out this basic pseudo code, just trying to make sure this is valid and solid basically. Dim strSourceFolder, strDestFolder strSourceFolder = "C:\Users\User\SourceFolder\" strDestFolder = "C:\Users\User\DestFolder\" For each file in StrSourceFolder ReplaceIfNewer (file, strDestFolder) Next Sub ReplaceIfNewer (SourceFile, DestFolder) Dim DateModifiedSourceFile, DateModifiedDestFile DateModifiedSourceFile = SourceFile.DateModified() DateModifiedDestFile = DestFolder & "\" & SourceFile.DateModified() If DateModifiedSourceFile < DateModifiedDestFile Copy SourceFile to SourceFolder End if End Sub Would this work? I'm not quite sure how it can be done, but I could probably spend all day figuring it out. But the people here are generally so amazingly smart that with your help it would take alot less time :)

  • Folder Redirection Issues - Freezing, Strange Warnings

    - by JCardenas
I have Folder Redirection set up in a test environment for a couple accounts. I have followed the instructions for setting up the folder security settings here, and I can confirm that folders are created automatically by the system with the correct security settings when a user logs in. The GPO has been configured to automatically move user files up to the redirected folders, and this is working properly. Problems start occurring when a Windows 7 PC is in use. It is rare, but Explorer will lock up when performing a file write operation (move/copy/save from application). This results in the entire system being unusable, with only a hard reset resolving it (Task Manager doesn't start, the "three finger salute" does nothing, apps stop working). The mouse functions, but clicks do nothing. The other issue is that occasionally when copying/creating/modifying files a dialog box will pop up with the message "You need permission to perform this action. You require permission from XYZ\cardenas to make changes to this folder." The folder that was created by copying an existing one has the correct security settings and lists me as the owner. My company will not be implementing Folder Redirection on XP, since we are making a "clean break" with implementing new technologies with the Windows 7 rollout, so this behavior has not been - nor will be - checked for in XP. Thanks in advance for your help!

  • OSX Finder - Creating New Folder with Right-Click in List View

    - by JT.WK
I am aware that when using finder in List view, I can create a new folder by right-clicking on an empty row, and pressing 'New Folder'. However, when I happen to be browsing a folder with quite a lot of files (or just enough to invoke a scrollbar), there are no blank rows, and hence nowhere that I can right-click to create a new folder. This is not a big problem, I am just a whinger who likes consistency and find this frustrating. Yes, I am aware that I can press 'Shift + Cmd + N', or can simply change the Finder view. BUT, is there a way to do this within list view? Am I missing something obvious?

  • Folder Disappeared In Outlook but is still searchable?

    - by Jamie T
Hi All currently having an issue where the personal folders in outlook seem to be disappearing. We have a folder called 0 Mail Filing, it seems to have disappeared, but doing a search for mail, it finds the mail and the folder is still in inbox/0 Mail Filing. Is there anyway to find the exact location, or get the folder back. We have checked all of the other subfolders and the folder is not in any of them. We are using Outlook 2007 with Exchange Server 2003. Thanks Jamie T

  • OS X Enclosing folder shortcut?

    - by Nano8Blazex
This may have been asked before, but I'm wondering whether there is a shortcut for navigating to the enclosing folder in OS X (Snow Leopard)? I find navigating Finder particularly frustrating since it's hard navigating back to the enclosing folder (especially when you jump to a folder and realize the back button is disabled)... I'm hoping for something other than Command+Up, since that's the key combination I use to navigate Spaces.

  • What's this folder?: c8c6ac6192a47b59df

    - by Mehper C. Palavuzlar
I'm running Win XP SP3 on an IBM R50e laptop, and I just realized a folder named c8c6ac6192a47b59df in the root of my C:\ drive. I can see 2 folders in it named amd64 and i386. These two folders cannot be opened. XP says: c8c6ac6192a47b59df cannot be accessed. Access Denied. However, when I view the properties of the strangely-named folder, it shows 2 folders, 0 files, 0 bytes. I tried Unlocker to be able to unlock and delete the folder, but Unlocker says there are no handlers. What's this folder and how can I delete it?

  • Monitoring folder diffs across servers with zabbix

    - by Marcus
Problem: I want to make sure that a certain folder is equal regarding it's contents across my servers. I do not want an automatic filesync to keep them equal, changing is done manually. My initial thought was to once a day calculate some crc/hash on folder and send to Zabbix, and trigger when values differ. Is there any good tools out there that can calculate crc or similar of a folder? Anyone know of another solution that solves my problem?

  • Default sort order in Windows folder

    - by Florian Müller
I am running Windows 7 and I have a folder "Dropbox" inside my Documents folder. However, every time I restart Explorer and enter this folder, it is sorted by mutation date. I'd like to have it default sorted by name, which is still default in all other folders, however not in this one. Please let me know if there is a way to define this properly! Thanks in advance! Note: I actually found out that this is in every folder or library now, not only in some folders. This is the standard sort behaviour when I open explorer the first time.

  • How to recursively change folder permissions on WAMP server [closed]

    - by user1543227
How do I change folder permissions recursively in Windows 7? Specifically, for my WAMP server, I want to change the permissions of my "www" folder so that its contents can be viewed over the Internet, and I want all of its subfolders to have the same permissions. Currently, for each folder, I'm getting the following message in my browser: "You don't have permission to access / on this server." I believe there's a simple command I could enter in a terminal for recursively changing folder permissions for global access; I just don't know what it is.

  • PHP compare two dimension array

    - by Jerry
    Hello guys I would like to know how to compare two two-dimension arrays value. First array Array 1 ( [0] => Array ( [0] => a ) [1] => Array ( [0] => b ) [2] => Array ( [0] => c ) } Second one Array 2 ( [0] => Array ( [0] => a ) [1] => Array ( [0] => d ) [2] => Array ( [0] => e ) } I need to know if my loop could compare the arrays to check the matched value. In my case, array1[0][0]=a matches array2[0][0]=a. If it matches, php will output some html. My foreach loop foreach ($array1 as $arrays){ foreach($arrays as $array){ //need to compare array2 here not sure how to do it. } } I would appreciate any helps. Thanks!

  • Removing a Subversion folder from the client and server

    - by Code Sherpa
Hi. I have been using Subversion for a few days now and have a question... I have a folder deep in my subversion trunk that I want to remove and replace with another folder. I have read about this on here and tried: Export: I clicked on the folder I wanted to remove I then created a new backup folder elsewhere when prompted I then exported Delete: I next chose the delete option (in TortoiseSVN) on the folder I wanted to remove and clicked it. The folder I want to remove now has an "X" over it as does all of the subfolders and files. But, when I go to the Subversion repository on the remote server, I still see the folder I want to remove and all of its files. What do I have to do to get the clients to forget about this folder and the Subversion server to remove it permanently from its sub-folders? Thanks in advance...

  • C++ - Creating folder method

    - by Matthew
I have the following method in C++: void create_folder(LPCWSTR full_folder) //Method to create folder in case it does not exist { if(!CreateDirectory(full_folder,attr)) //Checking whether the folder already exists { switch (GetLastError()) { case ERROR_ALREADY_EXISTS: printf("The folder already exists!\n\n"); break; case NULL: printf("The folder does not exist!\n\n"); printf("The folder was created successfully!\n\n"); break; } } } In case the folder already exists, the correct message is displayed on the screen. However, if the folder does NOT exist, nothing is displayed on the screen, that is, the part identified by case NULL is not executed. How can I solve this problem? In other words, how can I get the code after the case NULL to run if the folder does not exist?

  • Keeping local windows folder in sync with remote ftp folder in real time

    - by bobo
I know it has been asked before, but I would like it to happen in real time and transparently (without the need to open a separate FTP client such as FileZilla). For example, if I edit a text file in the local folder and then save it, it should immediately detect it and push the changes to the remote folder. It can be unidirectional (changes made on the local folder has to be pushed to the remote folder but the reverse is not necessary). It should also be able to specify some excluded files/folders which do not need to be in sync. Is there such an application that you know of?

  • Problem deleting folder and files from "Program Files" folder in Win 7

    - by Craig Johnston
How do you delete folders and files from the "Program Files" folder in Win 7? I am trying to do this on someone else's computer and I don't know what rights their user account is. It says that I don't have permission to delete the folder. I thought it was an administrator account because when I do "Run as Administrator" for other things it doesn't ask for a password, so it must be an administrator account. Should I be able to delete a folder out of "Program Files" if the account has administrator rights? Or do I need to do something else, such as "Take Ownership" of the folder.

  • VBA - Instead of ActiveExplorer.Selection to set folder, explicitly set folder path

    - by Mike
Sub MoveItems() Dim Messages As Selection Dim Msg As MailItem Dim NS As NameSpace Set NS = Application.GetNamespace("MAPI") Set Messages = ActiveExplorer.Selection If Messages.Count = 0 Then Exit Sub End If For Each Msg In Messages Msg.Move NS.Folders("Personal Folders").Folders("SavedMail") Next End Sub This code will move all email messages from the currently selected folder in outlook to another folder (SavedMail). I would like to edit the code so that instead of using the currently selected folder as the source for the messages, there would be a hard-coded folder - something like Set Messages = NS.Folders("Personal Folders").Folders("Moved"). I'm a VBA rookie and tried just replacing the Set Messages line with this which resulted in a Run-time error '13': Type mismatch which I think refers to a mismatch of the Dim Messages and the Set Messages commands. I've tried using different Dim definitions with no luck. I'm guessing that someone who knows VBA will see the way to do this right away. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Oracle SQL Developer: Single Object Compare

    - by thatjeffsmith
There’s a nasty rumor going around that you can’t compare database objects and/or code in Oracle SQL Developer. So let’s put that to bed right now. First, here’s how to compare: PL/SQL to PL/SQL or a SQL statement to another SQL statement So now that that’s settled, why don’t we take a look at how to compare a single table, to another table – whether it’s in the same database or a different database. Database Diff There’s no additional licensing requirement here. If you have SQL Developer, you can use this feature. if you’re going to compare 1 table to another, make sure you ONLY have ‘tables’ checked And then, use this dialog to select your table(s): Move over the object(s) you want to compare over to the right hand side. And now we can move onto the results. The differences, side-by-side, and the script to make B look like A Common lines with differences are highlighted in blue, new lines are highlighted in red. So that’s why they are different, but here’s the script to synch up the differences: Read the script, TEST the script, apply the script. And that’s it. Well, that’s mostly it. If you have questions about how to compare a database object in a schema you don’t have the login information for, read this post next.

  • SSAS Compare version 1.0 released

    - by Red Gate Software BI Tools Team
We’re pleased to announce that SSAS Compare version 1.0 has been released as a free tool. Version 1.0 includes: Comparisons of live databases and XMLA or Analysis Services Project files MDX syntax diffs and highlighting Server comparisons Deployment wizard with summaries of scripted actions Bug fixes and engine and UI refinements We’ve tested it on as many cube configurations as we could find (not just good old AdventureWorks!), but we can’t provide support for free tools — so if you’re reliant on SSAS Compare for your cube deployment, use it at your own risk. See the user license agreement in the installer for more details. SSAS Compare’s come a long way from its humble beginnings as an internal tool first developed for Red Gate’s own BI developers. Today’s SSAS Compare is now much more stable — not to mention much easier to use — and something the team is proud to have released with Red Gate’s name on. Next: Deployment Manager We’re working on integrating SSAS Compare cube deployment with our new Deployment Manager tool, so you’ll be able to create cube deployment scripts and automate the deployment process, too.  We’re documenting the process in a white paper we’ll publish online in the next week. Thank you! Thanks to all the SSAS Compare users out there. Without your feedback, we could never have produced such a stable product so quickly. We hope you continue to find useful. See you in Deployment Manager!

  • Compare images to find differences

    - by _simon_
Task: I have a camera mounted on the end of our assembly line, which captures images of produced items. Let's for example say, that we produce tickets (with some text and pictures on them). So every produced ticket is photographed and saved to disk as image. Now I would like to check these saved images for anomalies (i.e. compare them to an image (a template), which is OK). So if there is a problem with a ticket on our assembly line (missing picture, a stain,...), my application should find it (because its image differs too much from my template). Question: What is the easiest way to compare pictures and find differences between them? Do I need to write my own methods, or can I use existing ones? It would be great if I just set a tolerance value (i.e. images can differ for 1%), put both images in a function and get a return value of true or false :) Tools: C# or VB.NET, Emgu.CV (.NET wrapper for OpenCV) or something similar
