    Can you burn a DVD film that will play on a standard DVD player but also include on the disk some pc readable files that would auto launch on a PC? I want to create a dvd disk that essentailly has 2 purposes: When a DVD is inserted into a standard DVD player it plays like a normal DVD film, i.e. you get the DVD menu and you can play the movie When you insert the dvd into a pc it auto launches an exe file and behaves like a normal data disk.

    I want to sort some items in alphabetic order, but in a very specifc way. I have, for example, the following list, each item separated by comma: monkeys, dogs, cats pineapple, banana, orange yellow, red, blue, green silver, gold, platinum delphi, java, c++, visual basic I want to sort each line alphabetically, WITHOUT changing line order. My desired result would be: cats, dogs, monkeys banana, orange, pineapple blue, green, red, yellow gold, platinum, silver c++, delphi, java, visual basic My target list has got 3000+ lines, so it should be an automated process.   • Proper way to configure ~/.Xsession with a standalone window manager to gracefully end a session

    I'm using xdm and my ~/.Xsession looks like this: # <initialization stuff here> exec openbox It works, but I've noticed that when I log out Openbox doesn't gracefully kill all the applications. In particular Google Chrome complains about that. How can I make sure to wait for all processes to exit (just like others configurations: Gnome, KDE, Windows ...)? The only (ugly) solution that I've found involves sleep and kill into ~/.Xsession.

    We need to send a 2U server, 1U UPS and 1U firewall to a third-party. The thing is, it needs to be a secured case (locked unit) that has proper airflow and we can have power and networking cables coming out of the back. We've googled far and wide and have only been able to find 'hard case' units that offer some level of security but they are extremely bulky and require freight delivery.   • Tomcat 7 vs. ehCache Standalone Server (Glassfish) Configuration with RESTful Web Services

    My requirements consist of using ehCache to send and store data via RESTful web service calls. The data can be stored in-memory or via the filesystem... Never used ehCache before so I am having some issues deciding on which bundle to use. Have downloaded the following bundles: ehcache-2.6.2 ehcache-standalone-server-1.0.0 (1) What is the difference between the two? It seems the ehcache-2.6.2 contains src and binaries, which essentially enables one to bundle it with their webapps (by putting the compiled jar or binaries inside the webapp's WEB-INF/lib folder). But it doesn't seem that it has support for Restful web services. Whereas, ehcache-standalone-server-1.0.0 (comes with an embedded Glassfish server and has support for REST & SOAP) can be used to run as a standalone server. If I my answers to my own question are correct, then that means, I should just use the standalone server? (2) My requirements are to setup ehCache (with REST support) on Tomcat 7. So, how could I setup ehCache on Tomcat 7 as a separate app with REST & SOAP support? Thank you for taking the time to read this...

    Hi, I have created a standalone XUL application, and I copied "NPSWF32.dll"(flash plugin dll) to the "plugins" folder under the browser. When I launch the application, flash content is not getting displayed. If I set the MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH to the "plugins" directory before launching the application, everything is working as expected. Could someone tell me, what I needs to do in order to load the flash plugin automatically from the "plugins" folder. Thanks, Rajeesh

  • How to use Netbeans platform syntax highlight with JEditorPane?

    There are many tutorials online giving very complex or non-working examples on this. It seems that people recommend others to use the syntax highlighters offered by netbeans but I am totally puzzled on how to do so! I have checked many many sites on this and the best I can find is : http://www.antonioshome.net/kitchen/netbeans/nbms-standalone.php However I am still not able to use this example (as it is aimed to people who don't want to use the Netbeans platform but just a portion of it) and I am still not sure if I can just use syntax highlighting in a simple plug 'n play way. For example netbeans supports several language highlights by default, can I just use the highlighters in a JEditorPane to parse Ruby/Python/Java for example ? or do I need to write my own parser :-| ? I will really appreciate a small simple example on how to plug syntax highlight in a standalone application using the netbeans platform.

    Visual Studio 2010 has official Extensions for SharePoint 2010, which also includes MSBUILD .targets. I'm setting up a Continuous Integration Server at the moment, and msbuild can't compile my SharePoint projects as these targets are missing. Before I start manually identifying and copying over the SP stuff, I wonder if there is a standalone version so that I don't have to install VS2010 on my CI Server?

    We have a standalone java swing app, in which the user can print something that he drew, on a printer by giving its IP. Now the requirement is that the app needs to remember the ip that was given the last time by this user. What I could think of till now is (a brute one though) - keep a log file kind of storage on the client machine, and that everytime the app comes up it reads the last submitted one. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

    Trying OCR with Tess4J and able to make it work as a standalone application on 64 bit windows. I am using eclipse for the same. Now I am trying to create a war of the same code and deploy it in Tomcat7 and call the api using a servlet.   • Listview navigation behaviour in an xbap versus a standalone app

    Hello, I have an wpf application which contains a listview. When the application runs as a standalone I can navigate through the list with the arrow up and the arrow down keys on the keyboard. When the application is deployed as an XBAP and runs in a browser window I can do this too but when I for example reach the top element and press the up arrow key one more time the focus jumps to the url bar in the browser. Does anyone know if there’s an easy way to prevent this? Thanks.

    Hi, I launch Blackberry ESS in standalone mode. However I don't have Outlook Express on my computer. Instead I have Outlook 2007 on my computer. I set up an email account in Outlook 2007 which uses 'localhost' as its pop3/smtp server. The port numbers I used are the same as those in http://www.blackberryforums.com/developer-forum/5590-sending-receiving-email-device-simulator.html. However I got the following exception. 'UnknownHostException:pop3.server'. I am wondering if Outlook 2007 works with ESS.

  • Center the stage in Flash CS4/AS3 on a standalone player

    I have a Flash presentation (made in Flash CS4 with AS3) I am working on and running in a standalone Flash player. When I start the presentation the stage is centered in the Flash player, even if I resize it. The presentation contains an FLVPlayback component which, at different frames, plays different content. A navigation menu (made of buttons) is used to move through the different frames. My problem is that if the player is resized so that it is bigger than the stage, sometimes after going into and exiting from fullScreen mode, the stage is moved to the left and I cannot find a way to move it back to the center. I cannot stage the scale as the content becomes distorted and I do not want to force fullScreen all the time. I would just like to center the stage in the Flash player. Is such a thing possible? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Is there anything similar to netbean's Javadoc auto comment tool for PHP/phpDocumentor/Eclipse? In the netbeans implementation: A dialog pops up and allows you to run through all the members of your class and enter comments, which are added to the source file. It even verifies that there are no parameters you have not accounted for, so you can be sure that your comments are complete. Ideally this would be standalone software, but plugins are OK too :) p.s. netbeans 6+ auto comment was moved/renamed.   • Creating standalone, console (shell) for domain-specific operations

    Say that I have a system service, and I want to offer a low-level maintenance access to it. For that purpose, I'd like to create a standalone, console application that somehow connects to server process and lets user type in commands, allow it to use auto-completion and auto-suggestion on single/double TAB press (just like linux bash shell, mysql cli, cmd.exe, and countless others), allow command line editing capabilities (history, cursor keys to move around text..), etc. Now, it's not that much of a problem to create something like that by rolling my own from scratch, handling user input, scanning pressed keys, and doing correct actions. But, why reinvent the wheel? Is there some library/framework that helps with this kind of problems, just like readline library that offers improved command-line editing capabilities under linux? Of course, this new "shell" would respond only to valid, domain-specific commands, and would suggest valid arguments, options, switches... Any ideas? Thanks!

My program has: poller- which checks the status of the connection a file writer when polled link is down a component which POSTs the file when link is up What is the appropriate IDE for this project? I heard endorsements for DevC++ and Visual C. I am a newb to coding and this site. Pardon me if I am unclear in anything.
