  • JQuery not Working in chrome?

    Hi everyone! I have some code here which works perfectly in firefox but not in chrome or IE, my javascript is thus ` $(document).ready(function() { $("#clientLoginPop").show(); $("#clientLoginPop").animate({"left": "-=400px"}, "fast"); }); $("#clientLoginCloseLink").click(function () { $("#clientLoginPop").animate({"left": "+=400px"}, "fast"); }); $("#contactUsPopLink").click(function () { $("#contactUsPop").show(); $("#contactUsPop").animate({"left": "-=437px"}, "fast"); }); $("#contactUsClose").click(function () { $("#contactUsPop").animate({"left": "+=474px"}, "fast"); }); }); ` and finally the css of the div looks like this, i think rather importantly it's aligned to the right of the browser: (the client login div looks similar just a different height) ` #contactUsPop { width:437px; right:-437px; margin-top:220px; position:fixed; height:217px; background-color:white; z-index:2; } ` so what happens in firefox is the div animates to the left and then when it closes it moves back to the right. when in chrome the div doesn't seem to pop up at all? the URL of the site is this: http://clearcreativegroup.com/devcorner/clear3/ the tabs are on the right hand side of the browser, any advice would help tons, thank you!

    I am looking to implement a search text box as follows: When user starts typing in and there are non-zero results, the text box will open up and display the results below it. When the user selects a result, the text box closed, but this time with a down-arrow (like a combobox) so that the user can re-open the list. I suspect what I really need is a combobox with ability to hide/show the down arrow. How do I do this in Flex? Thanks in advance.

  • SSRS: Report loading external images, image not found, can I hide the image control

    My SSRS report loads logo images for each customer from a customer number specific folder on the report server. I write an expression, to form my URL to the image based on th customer number. ..."http://localhost/images/" + iCustomerNumber.ToString() + "/logo.gif" I am able to get this working, but the problem I face is, when a particular customer doesn't has an image, then my report shows a red X mark in place of the logo. In this case, I expect to hide the image control itself. Any thoughts???? The other dirty solution will be to ensure that each customer specific folder has the designated image! even if there is no logo for a customer, I'll place a blank.gif or a spacer.gif of probably a square pixel in dimension!.

    Ok, here's what I'm trying to do. I have a DIV box with a child element set with DISPLAY: NONE;. I'm trying to use Jquery so that when the mouse enters the parent DIV box, the child element is made visible, and then hides when the mouse leaves the parent DV. There will be multiple divs on the page with these classes. For some reason it's not working. Any ideas?     Hi all. I've some data that i'd like to publish just on one website, ie. it should not be reused on other websites. The data is a set of numbers that change every day, our journalists work to get hard gather it. Is there any way to hide, crypt, etc. the data in a way that it cannot be reused by others? But to show it in a graph in the same time? I found the ASCII to HEX tool that could be used for (http://utenti.multimania.it/ascii2hex/). I wonder if you can suggest other ways.     I've searched and search not only google but also here and still have to find a solution that will work. I have a div that is hidden by default, then toggled by clicking on a link. I also want it to hide when you click outside of the div. Simple, I thought, but nothing I've tried had worked yet.     Is there a function that can be called on an Ext.grid.Panel in ExtJS that will make all columns visible, if some of them are hidden by default? Whenever an end-user needs to show the hidden columns, they need to click each column. Below, I have some code to add a custom menu option when you select a field header. I'd like to execute this function so all columns show. As an example below, I have 'Project ID' and 'User Created' hidden by default. Now, I want it so at first only the first div is showing and the others are hidden, but I have ASP loop that generates clickable links for the various divs (pages) and clicking on any given link will show that div and hide all the others.     I have a bunch of table rows such as: <tr> <td>cell1</td> <td>cell2</td> <td><a href="action.php">cell3</a></td> </tr> <tr class="notes_row"> <td colspan="6"> <ul class="message warning no-margin" id="notes_box"> <li>Notes here</li> </ul> </td> </tr> <tr> <td>cell1</td> <td>cell2</td> <td><a href="action.php">cell3</a></td> </tr> The class="notes_row" is only there if notes are present for the row above it. How can I hide the tr and if its there the tr with the notes_row class below it without affecting the other rows using jquery? So if someone clicked cell3 the tr that link is in is hidden then if there is a notes table row below it, it hides that as well.

    Hey, In the spirit of building community, and because it's always cool to see great work being pushed out and created by people, anyone up for a little show and tell? The rules are really simple, and this is supposed to be a bit of fun, so; post a link to a single piece of work (anything you've produced, designed or developed (or helped developed)) and write a little paragraph or two on what it is, what you like about it, the technology you used and perhaps one thing that you learnt from the project. It could be a website, framework, open source project, game, mobile application... etc. So, allow me to start. I'm personally very proud of a tiny iPhone application I designed and developed. It's only available to UK AppStore users, and I only have a small userbase, but, I like it. The application is called Sushi Total: http://knowledgeisporridge.com/sushitotal.html It's written in Objective-C. It's a very simply application that allows you to total up your bill at Yo Sushi restaurants by tapping coloured plates. If I learnt anything from making this application it's this: I believe software should be simple and uncluttered, and that producing an application with one feature is absolutely fine as long as it works really well. So, who's next?

I have jQuery setup like so: $('.control').click(function(){ var master = $(this).parent().parent(); var first_div = $(master).find(".first-div"); var second_div = $(master).find(".second-div"); $(first_div).toggleClass("hidden") $(second_div).toggleClass("hidden") }); This setup toggles the visibility of the divs, click the control button it hides one div and show the other. However this just hides and shows each div in a flash. I am looking to add some animation to the transitioning of the divs, maybe have one slide up and the other slide down when the 'control' is clicked and vice versa but I am unable to achieve this. Could anyone help out and give some advice on how to do this? Cheer Eef

I think, I need to do it with jQuery(this) but I tried it in a 1000 different ways, and it won't work.   • Chrome + jQuery hide/show inline

Everything works fine but at chrome when i want to show them ,it displays them as display:inline and not as display:inline-block ... The css class button_small have display:inline-block.... Firefox,IE 6+ works ok... Havent tested on safari but i hope that it would be ok... Why chrome kills inline-block? The solution was to put .css("display","inline-block") instead of .show()

It works in all browsers. The only issue I'm running into is that in IE6 the video keeps playing and in other browsers it stops the video your watching and loads the one you clicked on. I looked into using the .remove object or the .append to a div, but I can't seem to get that to work and if it does work will it play nice with IE6. Try it out and maybe solve my issues.

  • jQuery slideToggle() Internet Explorer problem and jumpy animation

    Hey yaa! I have a big problem with my jquery. I finally made it that my slidetoggle runs in firefox. The animation is a little bit jumpy in the end of the animation. I read a lot of workarounds, but somehow nothing helped me really. Perhaps anyone of you can rescue me out of this dilemma. The other bigger problem is that the hidden divs are unfortunately shown directly on start in internet explorer. I tested it in IE6&7. And the sliding effect is also very strange. Does anyone of you know if I have to give additional styling for IE??? Here is my site I am working on: http://www.haus-plan.de/%5F01%5FHausplan/ the red titles are slideable in the content area and the two Slide words on the right panel. I noticed that Internet Explorer runs the first Slide word on the right panel correctly. Here its div is first hidden and only shows up when we click and let it slide down.     I'm developing on the Droid Incredible (and have tested on a 1.5 AVD Emulator as well), and one of the tabs in my tab widget consists of a listview and a row with an EditText and a Send button (for a chat feature). I am using the following to close the soft keyboard once I click Send, but it's not working. This is identical to code I've found elsewhere that people have upvoted as correct. The first one is a normal .jpg image, the second a greyscale version and the 3rd is some kind of effect i add with a transparent .png Now what i want is that, if i move the mouse over those images, the greyscale image is hidden or replaced by another image and afterwards visible again.
