I can do it in a monthly basis, basically using the month function to extract the month and work from there, but with an arbitrary time (which is the average lead time from my supplier) dont know how to get a function to split the date list in chunks of 15 (or whatever) days.   My PC has entered an infinite BSOD loop - but I do have access to a safe-mode command prompt. I'm trying to get an idea of "what changed" that might have triggered this. e.g. I might have gotten a virus, or an app update went belly up. I'd like to thus see which files were created/modified in the last few days/week or at least the *.exe, *.dll, *.com, *.bat etc. I thought I was ok with my Batch-fu but I'm stumped on how to write a quick batch file/command that would list the files for me. REM This will find the files, but the results are all muddled REM all EXE files, reverse sort by date, recursively through sub-directories dir *.exe /O-D /S What I'd really like is to find all (executable filetypes) that were created/modified in the last 3-7 days. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

• How to stop Excel Treating US dates as UK dates?

  I'm in the UK, I've got a problem where I've got a list of dates supplied in US format. Excel seems to treat the ones that are valid in both formats as UK dates, (e.g. 03/01/2012 becomes 3rd of January rather that 1st March), and treat the ones that aren't valid UK dates (e.g. 03/13/2012) as basic text. I assume this choice is something to do with my regional settings. What I want is the system to recognise that this column of text is supplied in US date format, and convert it into the underlying date representation for calculations. How do I do this?

  I am having an issue adding posts to LiveJournal via the xmlrpc api they provide. I want to add entries older than what I have listed on LiveJournal already. But I get a response saying: "You have an entry which was posted at 2009-09-06 18:32, but you're trying to post an entry before this. Please check the date and time of both entries. If the other entry is set in the future on purpose, edit that entry to use the "Date Out of Order" option. Otherwise, use the "Date Out of Order" option for this entry instead." I haven't found an argument for the "Date Out of Order" option using the LJ.XMLRPC.postevent method. Any help would be highly appreciated.

  I have a cell in a spreadsheet that is a date object in Excel but becomes a double (something like 39820.0 for 1/7/2009) when it comes out of C1's xls class. I read this is a Julian date format. Can someone tell me how to parse it back into a DateTime in C#? Update: It looks like I might not have a Julian date, but instead the number of days since Dec 30, 1899.

  I have a textbox with calendar extender and a label <label for="<%= tbxFrom.ClientID %>"> From</label> <asp:Label ID="lblWeekDayFrom" runat="server"></asp:Label> <asp:TextBox ID="tbxFrom" runat="server" CssClass="Calendar"></asp:TextBox> <cc1:CalendarExtender ID="extTbxFrom" runat="server" TargetControlID="tbxStartTag"> </cc1:CalendarExtender> and now I would like to show the weekday of the currently selected date, either using a formatting inside the textbox like Th 05/20/2010 or showing the weekday as string using the label on the left side of the texbox (lblWeekDayFrom). There is a calendarExtender to select the date, but I would also like to be able to have the users enter the date manually. I've already tried updating the element's class but this does not work if the browser's window has been opened maximized and no further size changes were made to the window (which is about 90% of the use cases we have for our product.... :( ) I'm stuck with a CSS-based solution however I think that I can make an exception in this case if it can easily be made IE7-specific (which means that other browsers will behave in a standard way with this). Please help!

• Squid proxy not serving modified html content

  I'm trying to use squid to modify the page content of web page requests. I followed the upside-down-ternet tutorial which showed instructions for how to flip images on pages. I need to change the actual html of the page. I've been trying to do the same thing as in the tutorial, but instead of editing the image I'm trying to edit the html page. Below is a php script I'm using to try to do it. All jpg images get flipped, but the content on the page does not get edited.   First bit of the question: What are the legal requirements of LGPL code during the deployment of a commercial product? Software package should include LGPL licence file Anything else? Shall we add a line to our "software agreement text" where you need to click next in the installer ? Second bit, Is there any known / accepted ways of distributing the changed library. Since it's LGPL anything derived from it should be licenced under LGPL. But what about after that? Shall we just send a copy to the original author? Shall we put it in our website so people can download? Or ship the source code with the product? Or just put a note that saying "e-mail us for the source code of this library".

However the code starts with a Expression<Func<string, bool>> and ends up with a Expression so it's not complete. How do I take that expression and make it typed as Expression<Func<string,bool>> again? All the examples I have have found on executing an expression all involve dynamically created expressions which is not what this case has. Here the original expression is defined at compile time. And the code I want to write to do this won't know much about the expression, ideally as little as possible. I definately can't see how I would know what "Paramaters" to pass to Expression.LambdaExpression... In my particular case I want to search for any references to a particular propery of type A and swap them out with a reference to a property of type B then pass the expression to a call to IEnumerable.Where. ie. p=>p.Name == "Sam" where P is Foo1 becomes p=>p.FirstName == "Sam" where p is Foo2

I need the tree traversal algorithm in such a way that a node can have more than 1 parent, if it's possilbe (found a great article here: Storing Hierarchical Data in a Database).   I have a calendar on my website, generated in Perl using Template::Toolkit and Template::Plugin::Date. It highlights the current day. I achieve this by iterating through all the dates (as I print the calendar) and comparing against the current date. Something like this: [% IF cur_date == date.format(format = '%Y-%m-%d') %] ... [% END %] It all works well until someone in Australia looks at it. (They are in a different timezone to me and my server in the UK). What's the best way to get Template::Plugin::Date to use a different time zone? It accepts a 'locale' parameter, but AFAIK this is only used for formatting.

  hi folks, I have a DataGridView bound to a table from a .sdf database through a BindSource. The date column display dates like "d/M/yyyy HH:mm:ss". e.: "27/2/1971 00:00:00". I want to make it display just "27/02/1971" in its place. I tried to apply DataGridViewCellStyle {format=dd/MM/yyyy} but nothing happens, event with other pre-built formats. On the the other side, there's a Form with a MasketTextBox with a "dd/MM/yyyy" mask to its input that is bound to the same column and uses a Parse and a Format event handler before display and send it to the db.
