    I am trying to have requests for https://redmine.example.com access my redmine instance, but I am just getting an "Index of /" page with the contents of /var/www/redmine (which is a symbolic link to /usr/share/redmine/public).   • Inserting Keynote slides into a Pages document

    I have a number of training documents which are formed from a word processor file and a slideshow. I'd like to be able to keep them together ideally by inserting the slides from Keynote into Pages. Is there any way of doing this quickly. So far I have tried Applescript with little success, I can drag and drop the slides one at a time but it is a bit slow and I've tried turning the slideshow into and dragging it into Pages but this only pulls in the first slide. Does anyone have any better ideas?

Printing these labels is ok, but some of the label paper are quarter turned and the PDF are printed incorrectly. There is a possibility to rotate the page before printing. But is it possible to rotate a PDF file and save it again as a PDF file? And there are thousands of PDF files, is it also possible to do this is a batch program?

    I have some data in an excel file from which I have to generate a report. I repeat this task fairly regularly and am looking to automate it. I have a LaTeX project into which I usually just copy data by hand, export the necessary worksheets as pdfs and add them to my LaTeX project and compile with pdflatex. It has occured to me that there must be a way to automate this process. Is there an efficient way to export the data from excel and into a LaTeX project, possibly a vba script in excel could run the process? Also, it doesn't have to be LaTeX, I'm not all that experienced with MS office's more advanced features is there some way akin to a mail merge that I could achieve this with? In some ways this might be better in case I have to pass the work on to someone who doesn't know LaTeX. Thanks.

    I am editing a 96 chapter book. The text is in normal black letters on a white background. What I want to be able to do is: I want to have any changes or additions automatically shown in another (per-selected) color. Without having to a)high lite a word or phrase to be changed or added and then b)going to the toolbar and clicking on the font color In other words I want the original color of the text to remain as it is and any additions or changes to be visible in another color without having to use the toolbar. Can this be done? I use OpenOffice or Word 2007 in Windows 7.

  • User sees all Sharepoint document as being from 1938

    Hello, I currently have a problem I was unable to solve concerning Sharepoint. One of our user is seeing every file on Sharepoint as being from around 1938. The Created and Last Modified field are affected. When the user saves a file on his computer, the date is correct. If I log on his computer, the date are fine. If he log on my computer, the date are wrong once again, so it is linked to its Sharepoint account. The day and month are wrong to, but files uploaded 3 days apart are still 3 days apart for him. I don't see how anything could affect a date like that... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, PS: Destroying his account and give him a new one is not a solution for now. He has been in this company for a long time and he has a lot of rights inherited from Sharepoint 2003 that are complicated to create.

In my logs I found nothing logged in errors.log, and only that it delivered a 403 in access.log. All the appropriate users are members of www-data.

  • How to scrub a document of all text between brackets with find and replace

    I have a log file and I need to find all instances of <password> hash here </password> and remove the hash and replace it with some dummy text like aaa-aaa-aaa-aaaa. The recurring search argument is anything that matches a bracket that starts with <password> and ends with </password>. All the hashes being replaced will be different. What's the easiest way to go a bout this? The log is on a windows machine. Probably easiest would be to use MS word for me, unless it's achievable with wordpad, notepad, or some other light weight editor like textpad. thanks

    We have a web site that should only be available for authorized users. So we deny anonymous access for the site. However we do allow anonymous access to the default page and the login page. When we installed SP1 the behavior of the server changed. Now if the user is trying to access the root of the site, say http://mysite.com, she is redirected to login page rather than the default page. Is there a hotfix to bring back the previous behavior?

    I have a set of files from example001.txt to example100.txt. Each file contains a list of keywords from a superset (the superset is available if we want it). So example001.txt might contain apple banana ... otherfruit I'd like to be able to process these files and produce something akin to a matrix so there is the list of examples* on the top row, the fruit down the side, and a '1' in a column if the fruit is in the file. An example might be... x example1 example2 example3 Apple 1 1 0 Babana 0 1 0 Coconut 0 1 1 Any idea how I might build some sort of command-line magic to put this together? I'm on OSX and happy with perl or python...

    I need a simple way to check if my files are valid documents (pdf, doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, odt, ods, odp and etc). I can't use file because magic does not work well at all. It doesn't check for valid documents: abiword --to=txt --to-name=output.txt audio.mp3 Is there any command available to check for valid documents then?

    Trying to save time and I need an easy way to make sure copied text from word is UTF-8 compatible for the web. Generally I have to copy and paste 4 or 5 pages of text at a time. I wish to make a PDF, which would be searchable (based on the text from the source, the changes would remain as they are). I am searching a free (and even better - portable) software which would allow me to somehow "combine" the images from a scan and the text from the source DOC file. So it SEEMS like the image is selectable and searchable.

  • repair window-xp - access denied for "document and settings" through command line

    hi, i'm trying to repair my windows xp and it fails to reboot (bad sector or something). i'm using my dell recovery disk and then select the "Repair" option which takes me to the command line application when i can browse my files and folders (like with cmd.exe). however, when i'm trying to access the "Documents and settings" folder, it gives me access denied. is there any way to override it? is there any other way to access my documents and settings through other method? I'm just trying to recover some files and copy them to another drive on my computer and then reinstall my winxp. Thanks for the help

    How can I replace a string/word in a Word Document via ASP.NET? I just need to replace a couple words in the document, so I would like to stay AWAY from 3rd party plugins & interop. I would like to do this by opening the file and replacing the text. The following attempts were made: I created a StreamReader and Writer to read the file but I think that I am reading and writing in the wrong format. I think that Word Documents are stored in binary?? If word documents are binary, how would I read and write the file in binary?   • xml schema and using a choice as the document root

    I have a bit of a newbie xml schema question. I believe the answer is that what I need to do is not possible with schema, but I'd like to be sure. The problem is that I have a webservice that returns a response with one type of root element on success (say <Response), and on a complete failure, returns a document with a different root element (say, <Exception). So, basically, two completely different documents: <Response......</Response OR <Exception....</Exception Is it possible to describe these two different documents with one schema document? It's like I want a choice as the first element under the schema element -- but that isn't valid syntax. I've tried a couple of variants that parse as valid xsd, but don't validate the documents.   • AjaxSubmit File Upload - Trying to get response $(document).ready() to fire

    I'm using the jquery form plugin (http://malsup.com/jquery/form/) to upload a file via ajax which is processed in the background. The upload is working correctly, and I am using ASP.Net MVC to return a partial view which contains a $(document).ready call to setup a 'timer' to check on the status of the upload file's processing status. When I return the partial view which contains a script block wit ha $(document).ready call, it is never fired, therefore the 'timer' to check for the status of the upload is never started. When I do this via a regular $.post call (without upload) the function fires correctly after the html is loaded into the DOM. Is there anything else I need to do when calling the ajaxSubmit function to get this to fire? Just a sample bit of code: $('form').live('submit', function () { $(this).ajaxSubmit({ success: function (data) { $('#statusDiv').html(data); } }); return false; });
