    I need to test a high-volume email application. Up to now, I've just been using gmail ad-hoc aliases ([email protected]) to receive emails and see that the content is right. However, I now need to verify a recipient list, which means I need to get every single email that goes out on a particular test run. The problem with Google isn't clear, but there's some throttling somewhere (perhaps from SendGrid, who is my delivery provider), and only a very small number of those emails ever make it to my acount. So: what's a practical way to get where I want to be? Is there a way to get gmail to just accept everything? Is there a web app / service somewhere that will let me throw up a fake email address that can receive for a large number of recipients? Is there something else?

    I have two domains associated with the same hosting account. Domain A was the one I had purchased when I first set up my website, but I didn't like it all that much and it was getting low ranks, and so I bought domain B and 301'd links from domain A to domain B. Now I would like to know if there is any way I can filter page views on Google Analytics based on the domain used to access the website, so that I can know if it is worth to keep the old domain associated with the account. Is there any easy way I can do this?

    Hello folks! Personally I've applied to quiet a handful of IT admin jobs inside my state and to the ones that are way far away. The sad part is I never miss to get an interview with the jobs in my state, but get a call once in a blue moon from jobs out of my state. Note: All the jobs are of similar nature. Recently one of my friends told me that "Applicants with local addresses are the ones that are even looked upon". How true is this? Does filtering take place at address level before qualifications? Is using a PO box on resume acceptable [one for each state like CA, TX, VA]? Any other suggestions to get calls from out of state?     I have two rules set up to sort incoming bug reports. The first is specific to a single device: Apply this rule after the message arrives sent to SMS Distribution and with <source_device_number>: in the body move it to the BugReports\<source_device_number> folder ..and the second is a catch-all for everything else: Apply this rule after the message arrives sent to SMS Distribution move it to the BugReports folder For some reason though, the first rule never seems to act even though it's higher in the list. So for some reason an email like the following doesn't seem to get caught by the first rule: From: <SourceDeviceUID> To: SMS Distributor Subject: Message from <SourceDeviceUID> Message: <source_device_number>: Device encountered a problem. Details below... ...where <source_device_number> is an integer. The second rule works fine. But for some high-priority devices, I want them automatically sorted. Why might that first rule fail?

  • Can't mark email read with InterIMAP, folder is read-only

    I'm trying to mark emails read (/SEEN) with InterIMAP, but this doesn't work. I stepped through the code with debugger, and found out that the response from mail server is "IMAP0078 OK Store ignored with read-only mailbox.", which pretty much tells me why it doesn't work. But it looks like there's no way to tell InterIMAP to open the connection as read-write. If I use something like Thunderbird, I can set the messages as read. Does anyone know how I should use InterIMAP to achieve what I'm trying, or how to change the source code so that I'd be able to mark messages as read?

  • Sending email with attachments from C#, attachments arrive as Part 1.2 in Thunderbird

    I have a C# application which emails out Excel spreadsheet reports via an Exchange 2007 server using SMTP. These arrive fine for Outlook users, but for Thunderbird and Blackberry users the attachments have been renamed as "Part 1.2". I found this article which describes the problem, but doesn't seem to give me a workaround. I don't have control of the Exchange server so can't make changes there. Is there anything I can do on the C# end? I have tried using short filenames and HTML encoding for the body but neither made a difference.   • Unable to send email on production server with ASP.NET MVC

    I have a simple ASP.NET MVC application with a contact page. In my development machine (local) I can send successfully emails (I specify host and credentials), but on the production server this doesn't work and I get this error: System.Net.Mail.SmtpFailedRecipientException: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable or not local at System.Net.Mail.SmtpTransport.SendMail... The server is in my LAN (the mail server too). I tried with multiple accounts but I have errors every time. Credentials for the account are provided at runtime with smtp.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("username", "password"); Any idea?     .NET provides a great library for working with SMTP for sending messages, however, there is not an implementation of a Pop3 client, or IMAP client for working with receiving e-mail from a mail host. Does anyone know of a good component that can provide Pop, IMAP, or both support? I know that code project has implementations, but from my experience finding a "good" one is hard.

    I'm processing an IMAP mailbox and running into trouble parsing the dates using the mxDateTime package.     I'm using ng-grid with filtering. Any time the filter updates I want to get the filtered item count. I have been able to do this using the filteredRows property of ngGrid. However I'm getting the rows BEFORE the filtering occurs and I want them AFTER the filtering occurs. If I write the following: Pony.mail( :to => message[:to], :from => @account[:from], :subject => message[:subject], :content_type => 'text/html', :html_body => "<h1>hey there!</h1>", :via => :smtp, :smtp => { :host => MY_HOST, :port => PORT, :auth => AUTH, :user => MY_USER, :password => MY_PASSWORD, :tls => true } ) The code above send a mail but the message appears to be empty in gmail. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this. Thanks.
