  • How to manage SOAP requests to a pool of VM each listening on a HTTP port with a priority value in these requests?

    I have a front SOAP web-server under Linux. It will have to communicate with Windows Servers VM listening each on a HTTP port, for a HTTP POST request. The chosen VM should return a report of the task to the SOAP client. In the SOAP requests, there's a special variable : the priority of the request (kind of SLA), and my question is coming right now : I think of using a ha software (nginx, HAProxy, HeartBeat...) that can manage priority in this point of view. Is it relevant or do you think I need to implement a queue by myself with some specific developments? Ex: I have a SOAP requests with low priority in the pipe : the weight priority for these VM should be decreased if I have high priority SOAP requests at the same time. Any clue will be really appreciated.

  • Rails unknown action suddenly everywhere

    The weird thing is that my app was working perfectly on Sat, and when I check it out on Monday (after doing nothing to it) I kept getting this problem: This behaviour is only happening on my production server. When I try to login or create a new user or do something that interacts with a form I am getting an unknown action error. A simple retrieval of rows does not throw this error however. I don't have all CRUD operations in most of my controllers because it's not necessary - but Rails always looks for the one that doesn't exist - it seams so anyway. If I make a mistake in the form that would normally throw a validation message to the user it will throw this error too, does that mean it has something to do with the model too (I'm not too Rails experienced and didn't know if that would be the case or not)? This is a general error I am getting - I have super_exception_notifier gem installed, so that's what all the extra params are.   • sql perfomance on new server

    My database is running on a pc (AMD Phenom x6, intel ssd disk, 8GB DDR3 RAM and windows 7 OS + sql server 2008 R2 sp3 ) and it started working hard, timeout problems and up to 30 seconds long queries after 200 mb of database And I also have an old server pc (IBM x-series 266: 72*3 15k rpm scsi discs with raid5, 4 gb ram and windows server 2003 + sql server 2008 R2 sp3 ) and same query start to give results in 100 seconds.. I tried query analyser tool for tuning my indexed. but not so much improvements. its a big dissapointment for me. because I thought even its an old server pc it should be more powerfull with 15k rpm discs with raid5. what should I do. do I need $10.000 new server to get a good performance for my sql server? cant I use that IBM server? Extra information: there is 50 sql users and its an ERP program.     I am working on an integration approach for integrating Rationa (IBM Jazz) Requirement Manager (RM) and Clear Quest (CQ) with TFS. As the teams are moving from ClearCase to TFS, what we are looking at is still being able to manage the requirements in RM and manage testing using CQ. The flow will be something like: Requirements are planned and detailed in RM Create work items in TFS connected to the Requirements in RM Create design and code using VS2010 and managing the version control in TFS Creating test plans and test cases in CQ (connected to requirements in RM) Run test against builds in TFS Publish test results in CQ against builds in TFS Run reports in RM, CQ and TFS that links up the items across the platforms. I have started looking at TFS Integration platform. But shall like to have your guidance for an early resolution and better solution approach.

    Hi, I'm trying to create a database connection in a python script to my DB2 database. When the connection is done I've to run some different SQL statements. I googled the problem and has read the ibm_db API (http://code.google.com/p/ibm-db/wiki/APIs) but just can't seem to get it right. Here is what I got so far: import sys import getopt import timeit import multiprocessing import random import os import re import ibm_db import time from string import maketrans query_str = None conn = ibm_db.pconnect("dsn=write","usrname","secret") query_stmt = ibm_db.prepare(conn, query_str) ibm_db.execute(query_stmt, "SELECT COUNT(*) FROM accounts") result = ibm_db.fetch_assoc() print result status = ibm_db.close(conn) but I get an error. I really tried everything (or, not everything but pretty damn close) and I can't get it to work. I just need to make a automatic test python script that can test different queries with different indexes and so on and for that I need to create and remove indexes a long the way. Hope someone has a solutions or maybe knows about some example codes out there I can download and study. Thanks Mestika

Admin and the mainpage will be displayable, but user section (which uses ajax) will be displayed, but can not be used (vith a transparent div set over the page). Also there is a few pages which will be disabled. my logic is that, i write a middleware, def process_request(self, request): if ayar.tonline_kapali: url_parcalari = request.path.split('/') if url_parcalari[0] not in settings.BAGIMSIZ_URLLER: if not request.is_ajax(): return render_to_response('bakim_modu.html') else: return None that code let me to display a "site closed" message for the urls not in BAGIMSIZ_URLLER (which contains urls that will be accessible) But i do not figure out how can i solve the problem about ajax pages... i need to set a header or something to the response and need to check it in the template.

    I have the following tables : Table1 ( Col1 : varchar2, Col2 : number, Col3 : number) Table2 ( Col1 : number, Col2 : varchar2, Col3 : varchar2) I want to run a query like this : select distinct Col2 from Table1 where Col1 in ( select Col1 from Table2 ) Table1.Col1 is of type varchar2 while Table2.Col1 is of type number. so, I need to do some casting, it seems but it fails to succeed. The problem is that any attempts to run the query returns the following error : ORA-01722: invalid number 01722. 00000 - "invalid number" *Cause: *Action: Table1.Col1 contains some null values.

  • Pass variable to Info Window in FusionTableLayer

    I am building a web application that includes a Google Map layered with data from a Google Fusion Table. I have defined the info window for the markers in the Fusion Table and all is rendering as expected, but I have one issue. I need to pass a session variable from my web application to be included in the links that are defined in the info window, but can't seem to find a way to do this. Below is the javascript I am currently using to render the map: var myOptions = { zoom: 10, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP, center: new google.maps.LatLng( 40.4230,-98.7372) } map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), myOptions); // Weather weatherLayer = new google.maps.weather.WeatherLayer({ temperatureUnits: google.maps.weather.TemperatureUnit.FAHRENHEIT }); weatherLayer.setMap(map); //Hobby Stores var storeLayer = new google.maps.FusionTablesLayer({ query: { select: "col2", from: "3991553" }, map: map, supressInfoWindows: true }); //Club Sites var siteLayer = new google.maps.FusionTablesLayer({ query: { select: "col13", from: "3855088" }, styles: [{ markerOptions: { iconName: "airports" }}], map: map, supressInfoWindows: true }); I'd like to be able to pass some type of parameter in the call to google.maps.FusionTableLayer that passes a value to be include in the info window, but can't find a way to do this.
