  • Eclipse classpath does not update changes in Project Properties

    I am using Eclipse 3.4.1 Build M20080911-1700 I have tried to change the classpath directories for jar and the source directory using the Project Properties - Java Build Path - Libraries Tab or Source Tab. When I click OK button and then return to the properties page, my changes were not applied. I have to resort in the work around by manually changing the eclipse ".classpath" project settings file. Any ideas?

    In the database I'm working with, every table repeats the same nine columns and I don't want to have to supply the same properties in each of my entities to map these columns. I've tried adding properties to a common base class and adding them to the sub class's mapping file, but this doesn't work. I've read the documentation around inheritance mapping but this did not help. What is the best way to map columns that repeat accross multiple tables in NHibernate?

However, since properties are no more than syntactic sugar for a get and set method, they are also allowed in interfaces. My question is - is there any situation where defining properties in an interface is appropriate or should we stick to the scenarios described by MSDN?

    Is there a way to change the language of the driver interface for Canon Pixma printers? Which language is used seems to be determined by the language of the OS or the Windows localization settings. I really don't want that, I want to be able to set the language manually to my own liking, either during the driver installation or afterwards. I have found a workaround for Pixma IP2770 where you edit the setup.ini file by replacing the language names and the DLL search paths with <SELECT> under the LANGUAGES section. It's a way to force the installation program to only install the English language support. IP2770 is a model for the Asian market, so if you want to check this out you need to go to the Canon India download page (for instance) to get the driver. Unfortunately this method is not possible with my IP4000. There is no driver even available for it to download for Windows Vista. But is there really no way of changing the language of the UI in any normal way, you know... without having to hack it? Besides, the driver for my printer comes with Windows Vista, so I don't even have to install any drivers. And little do I get the chance to set the language, knowing that the installation never happens. Any ideas?...

    Hey This is a bit of a weird request but I am trying to set some jvmargs in the log4j.properties file. At present I use ant to for example set some args.... jvmarg value="-Dmail.smtp.socketFactory.port=465" ... but it would be great to group a few of these logging relevant arguments into the .properties file. This version number is different from the assembly version in the project properties (which in turn is automatically displayed in a generated WPF about box). Is there a way to sync the ClickOnce version number and the project number in the assembly properties? Goal is to get an automatically increasing and identical version number for both places.

    Hi I have implemented an 'EqualTo' Validation Attribute, that compares two Properties of an object, during ModelBinding in ASP.NET MVC 2. The problem I have is not with it not working, because it does work. The problem is, when I do my request - which is an ajax request - I get back errors to my front-end, where it sets a class on the input fields to indicate invalid input. What it does is iterate through a list of Errors (in a JsonResult), and set a class. This is all dandy. But the ValidationAtrribute I am having trouble with is set at a Class-level, i.e., it's not like other ValidationAttributes where you set something like "[Required]" or something like that.     I set up a CUPS server with a few queues and printing from local clients (the CUPS test page and Samba) seems to work just fine.
