Hello there...
I've installed Tomcat 6.0.18 on my kubuntu machine following this guide but I got a 400 response when I try to reach http://127.0.0.1:8080
I also try to install it on a different PC with Ubuntu and everything was ok...
Any clue???
I was messing around with the (disappointingly weak) Filter function in Thunderbird, when I accidentally deleted all messages older than 2 days. I had the "filter log" turned on, so there is a record of every email that was deleted, but is there an easy way to undelete them?
I'm trying to think of a way to do this. I sort my songs into a variety of playlists corresponding to different 'moods' I might have, but some songs fit for more than one kind of mood (e.g. a techno song might be 'stylish' and 'surreal', or something to that effect). I also give them different star ratings for a general sort of opinion about them.
I want to be able to filter my media library by moods I want or don't want, as well as by star rating. Anyone have a good way to do something like this?
Alternatively, is there a way to 'tag' my songs by mood and then search up by those tags? because then I could just dump the queried results into playlists as needed.
Thanks in advance.
I've read this tutorial about how to modify your .htaccess in order to server many web2py applications but it doesn't seem to work. Here is my .htaccess
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^dispatch\.fcgi/ - [L]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ dispatch.fcgi/$1 [L]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} =www.moublemouble.com [NC, OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} =moublemouble.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^/(.*) /moublemouble/$1 [PT,L]
All I get is a 500 Internal Error and .htaccess is not my strong point. Any clues?
I have two Gmail accounts. I setup my old Gmail account to forward to my new Gmail account. However, there are some emails that I don't want forwarded. How would I stop these from getting forwarded?
I have a Win Form, Data Entry, application that uses 4 seperate Data Bases. This is an occasionally connected app that uses Merge Replication (SQL 2005) to stay in Sync. This is working just fine. The next hurdle I am trying to tackle is adding Filters to my Publications.
Right now we are replicating 70mbs, compressed, to each of our 150 subscribers when, truthfully, they only need a tiny fraction of that. Using Filters I am able to accomplish this(see code below) but I had to make a mapping table in order to do so. This mapping table consists of 3 columns. A PrimaryID(Guid), WorkerName(varchar), and ClientID(int).
The problem is I need this table present in all FOUR Databases in order to use it for the filter since, to my knowledge, views or cross-db query's are not allowed in a Filter Statement.
What are my options?
Seems like I would set it up to be maintained in 1 Database and then use Triggers to keep it updated in the other 3 Databases. In order to be a part of the Filter I have to include that table in the Replication Set so how do I flag it appropriately.
Is there a better way, altogether?
SELECT <published_columns> FROM [dbo].[tblPlan] WHERE [ClientID] IN (select ClientID from [dbo].[tblWorkerOwnership] where WorkerID = SUSER_SNAME())
Which allows you to chain together Filters, this next one is below the first one so it only pulls from the first's Filtered Set.
SELECT <published_columns> FROM [dbo].[tblPlan] INNER JOIN [dbo].[tblHealthAssessmentReview] ON [tblPlan].[PlanID] = [tblHealthAssessmentReview].[PlanID]
I'm trying to find a way to setup a bi-directional L2L IPSec tunnel, but with differing group-policy filter ACLs for both sides.
I have the following filter ACL setup, applied, and working on my tunnel-group:
access-list ACME_FILTER extended permit tcp host 10.0.0.254 host 192.168.0.20 eq 22
access-list ACME_FILTER extended permit icmp host 10.0.0.254 host 192.168.0.20
According to the docs, VPN filters are bi-directional, you always specify the remote host first (10.0.0.254), followed by the local host and (optionally) port number, as per the documentation.
However, I do not want the remote host to be able to access my local host's TCP port 22 (SSH) because there's no requirement to do so -- there's only a requirement for my host to access the remote host's SFTP server, not vice-versa. But since these filter ACLs are bidirectional, line 1 is also permitting the remote host to access my host's SSH Server.
The documentation I'm reading doesn't seem to clear to me if this is possible; help/clarification much appreciated.
I am testing using nginx/php5-fpm, with the code
<?php
header($_SERVER["SERVER_PROTOCOL"]." 404 Not Found");
// also tested: header("Status: 404 Not Found");
echo $_SERVER["SERVER_PROTOCOL"];
And force to use HTTP 1.0 with the curl command.
curl -0 -v 'http://www.example.com/test.php'
> GET /test.php HTTP/1.0
< HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
< Server: nginx
< Date: Sat, 27 Oct 2012 08:51:27 GMT
< Content-Type: text/html
< Connection: close
<
* Closing connection #0
HTTP/1.0
As you can see I am already requesting using HTTP 1.0, but nginx reply me with HTTP 1.1
We have a proxy at school, which requires a login/password, and blocks a certain number of sites that aren't "school related" (facebook, youtube, etc.)
While I'm able to get through to most things, people who've upgraded to Lion can't get through to anything, even though I've replicated my proxy/network settings on their machines.
Is it possible that the difference in OS versions is causing this? I have Snow Leopard, they have Lion.
I have a site running on IIS 7.5 that does an automatic redirect from 'http://mysite.com/whatever.aspx' to 'http://www.mysite.com/whatever.aspx'
On the site, there is a lot of traffic to an old URL that I want to redirect to the front page, index.aspx: 'http://mysite.com/foo/bar/index.cgi%something=asdf&somethingelse=qwerty'
The problem is that no matter what I try, I can only get the redirect to work with the www subdomain. If I use the URL without www, I just end up at 'http://www.mysite.com/404.aspx'
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for all help!
Edit3: it seems like the browser caching the redirect response was messing with me, so edit2 is wrong. See my response below.
Edit2: disregard edit1, it doesn't seem like it's working after all.
Edit: here's some further info: using this article I've managed to redirect from 'http://mysite.com/foo/bar/index.cgi' to 'http://www.mysite.com/index.aspx', but if I add the query string parameters, it still redirects to 'http://www.mysite.com/404.aspx'
Isn't there a way to catch all requests to the cgi file, including query string parameters?
I couldn't find a similar question but then maybe I am searching for the wrong terms.
A few years ago I used a router like device, I'm pretty sure it was a SonicWall, that did this on a clients site. Basically all traffic would be routed through this device and it allowed the manager/administrator to inspect web usage of the workers, determine how often certain resources were accessed and block them if necessary (much like content filter). It showed reports based on domain name reached etc. Facebbok.com, Bebo.com and so on. It also displayed the usual IP traffic information etc. it was a UTM also.
I have tried Endian firewall, with it's NTOP install, but I don't think that will show URLs browsed. Maybe I just haven't found it in NTOP yet?
I need this to troubleshoot connection and traffic issue at my home, with about twenty devices/users so didn't want to buy a dedicated solution and have spare hardware to use a community product.
I'm querying a webserver for RequestsTotal and RequestsPerSec:
Select * from Win32_PerfRawData_ASPNET_ASPNETApplications
The server is a Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5 and I'm querying it from my Windows 7 workstation using a C# program.
My problem is that both RequestsPerSec and RequestsTotal show the same value.
Running perfmon on that server and selecting the counters there shows the correct values.
Can't figure out, how to configure mod_proxy for this.
I have two domains, one is working fine at the moment. Second is bind to the same ip.
I need to forward requests from second domain to another server in local network.
like that:
domain1.com => 192.168.1.101
domain2.com => 192.168.1.102
What configuration or directives i should use?
Thanks ;)
Update
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName www.domain2.com
ProxyRequests Off
ProxyPreserveHost On
<Proxy *>
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
</Proxy>
ProxyPass / http://192.168.1.103:8080/
ProxyPassReverse / http://192.168.1.103:8080/
</VirtualHost>
It just doesn't redirect to second server. That's it. And when i restart apache, it says something with overlapping 80 port.
[warn] _default_ VirtualHost overlap on port 80, the first has precedence
I recently install ARR with a web farm. Everyting seen to be install correctly, but my javascript, images and css don't work. The page working fine.
Did i need to configure someting for image, js, css work ?
I have an Apache 2 on Centos + bind with a wordpress website on it (e.g example.com). I have also set up, on another server in a different contry a load balancer (varnish:80 + nginx 127.0.0.1:8080) for it - which task is to server all static content under /wp-content/.
Using Simple DNS editor I added an A entry to cdn.example.com pointing to the server's IP. So no extra work from a 2nd dns server.
Then using htaccess I redirect all requests to jpg|gif|css|js files to cdn.example.com. That works and all files are saved on the "cdn" server and served right away.
My problem is that for the first time I enter on example.com (e.g after restarting the computer or closing the browser) the load time is 1 up to 3 seconds, while any subsequent page loads take only 300 to 600 miliseconds.
I know it might be a DNS issue, but I have done a cache check on several websites and cdn.example.com indicates the right IP.
Do you have any ideas where I should dig to solve this first-time slowness?
I read lot of posts related with blocking sites. Most of the posts says to edit hosts file. I know it is a good method. But this one is not working for me.
Can you guess what is the issue by analyzing the following details,
My PC is joined to a domain and using proxy settings, and the logged in user having administrator privileges.
After reading some answers, I did the following
Changed the hosts file to have
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
Added no proxy for facebook,
Still, it is not working. Why ?
Recently I've been looking at a range of network server cabinets with a mesh door at the rear. At the top of the cabinet are ceiling mounted fans with dust filters attached. These fans suck air out of the cabinet - presumably to remove the hot air that has risen to the top.
My question is why do these fans have dust filters? What point do they serve? If the air flow is pulled in by these fans through the mesh door, then surely they are not there to protect the hardware inside from dust?
Also, there are other minor grilled gaps around the enclosure, how does this kind of ventilation design work?
Hello all:
I am currently setting up a 'render farm' for Maya 2008 Unlimited. One Maya workstation license comes with the ability to render on eight satellite nodes. It works perfect, the remote rendering works like a charm.
However, we have additional boxes to set up as satellite rendering nodes, and we have extra Maya workstation licenses. Ideally, the workstation can take two licenses and thus render on 16 nodes, but I haven't been able to figure it out, or determine if it is actually possible.
It's a big project, where rendering the entire thing is in the scope of weeks, so the speed up would be worth it.
Any thoughts?
Please check this image, it's a screenshot from plesk 10 of 1 domains mail traffic:
This domain has about 1GB POP3/IMAP (OUT) traffic each day. I know that this is not normal because I know the owner and how he's using his mail. It's just some mails each day.
Is OUT in this case incomming mails to the domain owner? or is it OUTgoing imap traffic?
I have about 30 domains on this machine, but this one is the only one making so much traffic.
How can I check whats happening there? Can I check which email adress makes the most of this traffic? Can I try to swich off Imap for just this domain?
I'm working on writing a set of rules for fail2ban to make life a little more interesting for whoever is trying to bruteforce his way into my system. A good majority of the attempts tend to revolve around trying to get into phpinfo() via my webserver -as below
GET //pma/config/config.inc.php?p=phpinfo(); HTTP/1.1
GET //admin/config/config.inc.php?p=phpinfo(); HTTP/1.1
GET //dbadmin/config/config.inc.php?p=phpinfo(); HTTP/1.1
GET //mysql/config/config.inc.php?p=phpinfo(); HTTP/1.1
I'm wondering if there's any valid reason for a user to attempt to access phpinfo() via apache, since if not, i can simply use that, or more specifically the regex
GET //[^>]+=phpinfo\(\)
as a filter to eliminate these attacks
I have a strange issue on a Windows Server 2003 box which has been baffling me for days now.
I have a service running on the machine which calls a specified exe every 60 seconds, the exe looks at a local database to see if it needs to print anything, and if so, it prints it to a network laser printer.
The problem i'm having is that some fonts won't print out when the exe is called automatically by the service, but work fine if I double click the exe to run it.
The font was installed by Administrator, but the service runs as NT Authority\System. I thought this might have something to do with it, but I tried running the service as Administrator, and that didn't solve it.
Are there any issues with fonts and permissions that i'm not aware of that could be causing this behaviour?
