  • multi row header on Google Visualizations

    I am trying to create a DataTable with a multi row header. I'll exemplify here: | 2008 | 2009 | --------------------------------------------------------- | price | qty. | price | qty | --------------------------------------------------------- | 93993 | 34434 | 34244 | 3434 | ..... The years headers can be fixed as I don't want to do sorting by that. Is there a way to do that in Google Visualizations?   • iPhone - nested views & controllers

    Is it possible to have a single iPhone screen with its view loaded from a xib by that screen's UIViewController, but then another UIView within that screen with content loaded from a separate xib file? If so, is it possible to have that nested view's events handled by a separate custom UIViewController subclass from the rest of the screen? If both of these things are possible, are they also advisable?

    From the official NDK site: The Android NDK... provides headers and libraries that allow you to build activities, handle user input, use hardware sensors, access application resources, and more, when programming in C or C++. If you write native code, your applications are still packaged into an .apk file and they still run inside of a virtual machine on the device. The fundamental Android application model does not change. Yet, it is always described as a companion tool to the Android SDK and as a toolset that allows to "implement parts of your applications using native-code languages such as C and C++". My understanding from this is that, unlike the Java based SDK, the NDK is not designed to implement certain parts of an Android application. Is this correct? If so, what parts doesn't the NDK allow implementing?

  • resignFirstResponder when tapping UITableView?

    I have a UITableView with two custom cells and each of them has a subview with a UITextField inside it. I have tried adding a UIButton on top of the UITableView and have it resignFirstResponder but that just means you won't be able to tap anywhere else - not even on the UITextFields to enter text. How do I make it so if I tap outside those two UITextFields, I can call resignFirstResponder, so the user can get back to the other cells? Thanks

    I am implementing a simple(hopefully) security manager within an application. Is it better to have predefined(static) roles, custom roles(dynamic)? I am leaning more towards dynamic groups or roles only because then it would not require a redeploy to update the system. Also, what would be the best approach to define resources in general? The application has a database that can hold either the static or dynamic values.

    I'm using the built in sqlite library on the Android platform. I'm considering adding several general purpose fields that users will be able to use for their own custom applications, but these fields will be blank most of the time. My question is, how much overhead will these blank fields add to my database? Do null fields even take up per record memory in sqlite? If so, how much? I don't quite understand the inner workings of a sqlite database.

  • Is there any injection vunerability in the body of an email?

    Hey guys..... AFAIK there is only a vulnerability within the HEADERS of an email when using user data correct? I am using the below function to sanitize my data, however I have some textarea fields on the page & hence these may contain linebreaks.. so was wondering if that user data is only going to be put in the body of the email, can it not bother with being sanitized - apart from stripping html of course?     Hi guys, I'm experimenting with C#, and right now I'm trying to get a web page that needs cookies. Since I had no success doing it, I wrote this little PHP script ( directly from php.net): <?php foreach (getallheaders() as $name => $value) { echo "$name: $value\n"; } ?> but, when i run: this.WBro.Navigate("http://localhost/cookie.php", null,null,"Cookie: foo=bar"); the foo cookie isn't there, and all I got is a page displaying the "usual" headers ( except the cookie one). Does somebody has any idea of why this happens? Thanks a lot!

    I'm trying to implement a simple text animation in a custom UITableViewCell without having to go into editing mode which automatically brings up the delete button on the right. What I'm trying to accomplish is that when the label is updated by a button within the UITableviewcell, the text in the label is updated but with some smooth animation like sliding to the right since the updated text is prepended to the string. Any sample code would be great. thanks

  • Can you use POST to run a query in Solr (/select)

    I have queries that I am running against out solr index that sometimes have very long query parameters, I get errors when i run these queries, which i assume are do to the limit of a GET query parameters. Here is the method I use to query (JSON), this is to show I am using the Http Extensions (the client i use is a thin wrapper for HttpClient) not an end to end solution. 90% of the queries run fine, it is just when the params are large i get the 500 error from solr. I have read somewhere you can use POSt's when doing the select command but have not found examples of how to do it.
