• Why wouldn't an embedded silverlight control work in a page?

  Hi, I have a silverlight application project in my solution. The other project is a web application project that has a .xap file in ClientBin. When I created the silverlight project, it asked if I wanted the asp.net application to host it (and I said yes). In the root directory, there is a test page for the silverlight control. That loads the control. In another directory, I insert the SAME asp markup to get the silverlight control to launch again. Nothing happens. Why would the silverlight launch on one page and not on the other? Can people help point me to documentation about dependencies that I might not know about? I've put a reference to Silverlight.js on the page as well. • jquery suspected naving convention problem

• MySQL, return only rows where there are duplicates among two columns.

  I have a table in MySQL of contact information ; first name, last name, address, etc. I would like to run a query on this table that will return only rows with first and last name combinations which appear in the table more than once. I do not want to group the "duplicates" (which may only be duplicates of the first and last name, but not other information like address or birthdate) - I want to return all the "duplicate" rows so I can look over the results and determine if they are dupes or not. This seemed like it would be a simple thing to do, but it has not been. Every solution I can find either groups the dupes and gives me a count only (which is not useful for what I need to do with the results) or doesn't work at all. Is this kind of logic even possible in a query ? Should I try and do this in Python or something?

  I need to execute a file when I only know the descriptor. It is also possible that there are no links to the file so finding out the name somehow is not an option. All the execve(), execvp(), etc functions take a file name. dlopen() also takes a name. Ugly solutions (like reading the file and calling some function pointer) are OK.

  What I have understand about passing arguments to main() from command line is that argc has a minimum value of 1 and argv[0] will always have the program name with its path in it. If arguments are provided at the command line, then argc will have a value greater than one and argv1 to argv[argc-1] will have those arguments. Now a paragraph at this link says that argv[0] will be a string containing the program's name or a null string if that is not available. Now, how and when can argv[0] have null string? I mean program name with its path will always be available so when can it be null? Writer says that "if that is not available" but when and how it is possible that program name will not be available?   I am using hibernate for Java, and I want to be able to select users by id or by name from the database. If I replace the class declaration with the following: public class CollectionAttribute<E extends Collection<?>> Then I can't reference the parametrized type of the collection. Am I missing something or have I reached a limitation with generics in Java ?

• Getting counts of 0 from a query with a double group by

  I'm trying to write a query that gets the counts for a table (call it item) categorized by two different things, call them type and code. What I'm hoping for as output is the following: Type Code Count 1 A 3 1 B 0 1 C 10 2 A 0 2 B 13 2 C 2 And so forth. Both type and code are found in lookup tables, and each item can have just one type but more than one code, so there's also a pivot (aka junction or join) table for the codes. I have a query that can get this result: Type Code Count 1 A 3 1 C 10 2 B 13 2 C 2 and it looks like (with join conditions omitted): SELECT typelookup.name, codelookup.name, COUNT(item.id) FROM typelookup LEFT OUTER JOIN item JOIN itemcodepivot RIGHT OUTER JOIN codelookup GROUP BY typelookup.name, codelookup.name Is there any way to alter this query to get the results I'm looking for? This is in MySQL, if that matters. I'm not actually sure this is possible all in one query, but if it is I'd really like to know how. Thanks for any ideas.

My problems is, Highcharts don't recognize the commas in the vector. • HTML/JS/CSS issue getting bigger by itself

  Here's the picture to begin with. I have this check box, that when you check, then with jQuery toggle(); it hides that you see in first half of the picture (#writeComment) and shows #SCtryVOTE (what you see in the other half picture, to the right). Now i dont know why but of some reason it expands when its checked, why i dont know, is it because it needs more place than it have or? how do i make this work without having problems when its checked.   I'm having trouble getting a response back from a Jquery ajax call... (It's a script to authenticate a user, and needs to return their name and user ID. My understanding was that I could encode it as JSON and get the data in the format below. It is returning an error of "undefined" for the alert(). • Windows 7 Mobile ListBox uncustomizable?

  I've just recently started development using Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows Phone and I put in a ListBox. I can't seem to manipulate the formatting. No matter what I do, the background is black/gray, the selected items have a blue border, and there is padding between the items in the listbox (i'm using images). • Keep data with specific value on top when sorting a gridview

  Hi i have a gridview with information about documents: name, document type (policy, guidelines, forms, etc), category, etc. I want to sort the gridview alphabetically (name) and by document type, but always having the 'policy' above the other document types when document name is the same. How do I do that? eg If I do sort by DocumentName, DocumentType ('policy' maybe not be the first one in the list) but if I do sort by DocumentType , DocumentName (I would get for example all guidelines first in alphabetical order, then procedures, then policies, etc)
