  • OS X, Mercurial and MediaTemple problem

    - by bschaeffer
    I've installed Mercurial per MT's knowledge base file here. Working with it server side using ssh from my Mac works fine. I can initialize repositories and the like, but pulling from the server or pushing from my Mac produces an error I don't understand. Here's what I get when call hg push from my local installation (hash marks represent my server number): remote: Traceback (most recent call last): remote: File "/home/#####/users/.home/data/mercurial-1.5/hg", line 27, in ? remote: mercurial.dispatch.run() remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 16, in run remote: sys.exit(dispatch(sys.argv[1:])) remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/dispatch.py", line 21, in dispatch remote: u = _ui.ui() remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/ui.py", line 38, in __init__ remote: for f in util.rcpath(): remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/util.py", line 1200, in rcpath remote: _rcpath = os_rcpath() remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/util.py", line 1174, in os_rcpath remote: path = system_rcpath() remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/posix.py", line 41, in system_rcpath remote: path.extend(rcfiles(os.path.dirname(sys.argv[0]) + remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/posix.py", line 30, in rcfiles remote: rcs.extend([os.path.join(rcdir, f) remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/demandimport.py", line 75, in __getattribute__ remote: self._load() remote: File "/nfs/c05/h01/mnt/#####/data/mercurial-1.5/mercurial/demandimport.py", line 47, in _load remote: mod = _origimport(head, globals, locals) remote: ImportError: No module named osutil abort: no suitable response from remote hg! I would really appreciate any assitance on this problem. Thanks in advance!

  • Parsing a JSON Response from a .Net webservice

    - by Maskau
    Just to get this out in the open I am new to JAVA, KSOAP, and JSON. So I'll try to explain this the best I can. A while ago I created a webservice to be consumed by Blackberry Apps that we're built using the plug in for Visual Studio. Now the project I am working on, I want to consume the same webservice for Android devices. For the most part I have the base code for the Android app done and working. Here's my problem: I can successfully call the webservice and get a response. I know from creating the webservice that it sends a JSON response. My problem is trying to parse through the JSON response. I have found a few examples that I have been suiting to my needs however I am hung up on one thing. In the JSON each element is preceeded by "anyType" which is forcing my code to return no results (Ultimately I am binding the data to an ArrayList) Here's what I get if I "getProperty(0).toString()... anyType{Artist=anyType{TrackName=Champagne Supernova;}; Here is the code I am using to parse the JSON Object.... SoapObject gr = (SoapObject)envelope.getResponse(); String ro = gr.getProperty(0).toString(); //Added just to see structure of response Artist_Result.add(gr.toString()); if (ro.startsWith("{")) { JSONObject JSONObj = new JSONObject(ro); Iterator<String> itr = JSONObj.keys(); while (itr.hasNext()) { String key = (String)itr.next(); String value = JSONObj.getString(key); //bundleResult.putString(key, value); Artist_Result.add(value); } } else if (ro.startsWith("[")) { JSONArr = new JSONArray(ro); for (int i = 0; i < JSONArr.length(); i++) { JSONObj = (JSONObject)JSONArr.get(i); //bundleResult.putString(String.valueOf(i), JSONObj.toString()); Artist_Result.add(JSONObj.toString()); } } WebService Code: [WebMethod] [return: System.Xml.Serialization.XmlArrayItemAttribute(typeof(Artist))] public Artist[] GetArtist(string ArtistQuery) { // All the SQL Stuff Here SqlDataReader sReader; sReader = cmd.ExecuteReader(); List<Artist> Artists = new List<Artist>(); while (sReader.Read()) { Artist result = new Artist(); result.TrackName = sReader.GetString(0); Artists.Add(result); } sReader.Close(); sqlConn.Close(); return Artists.ToArray(); } public class Artist { public string TrackName; } Sample of XML Output from a browser: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> - <ArrayOfArtist xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://bb.mcrcog.com/"> - <Artist> <TrackName>Champagne Supernova</TrackName> </Artist> - <Artist> <TrackName>Don't Look Back In Anger</TrackName> </Artist> - <Artist> <TrackName>D'you Know What I Mean</TrackName> </Artist> - <Artist> <TrackName>Go Let It Out</TrackName> </Artist> I have a feeling I will need to implement a Class, and Getters/Setters on the Android side. I'm just not sure how to go about doing that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Syntax error on token "QUOTE", VariableDeclaratorId expected after this token

    - by user356812
    I've posted a bigger chunk of the code below. You can see that initially QUOTE was procedural- coded in place. I'm trying to learn how to use declarative design so I want to do the same thing but by using resources. It seems like I need to access the string.xml thru the @R.id tag and identify QUOTE with that string value. But I don't know enough to negotiate this. Any tips? Thanks! public class circle extends Activity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(new GraphicsView(this)); } static public class GraphicsView extends View { //private static final String QUOTE = "Happy Birthday to David."; private final String QUOTE = getString(R.string.quote); ..... @Override protected void onDraw(Canvas canvas) { // Drawing commands go here canvas.drawPath(circle, cPaint); canvas.drawTextOnPath(QUOTE, circle, 0, 20, tPaint);

  • JQuery validation without requiring MS scripts in asp.net mvc2 project

    - by Jim Geurts
    Is it possible to use the new client side validation features of asp.net MVC 2 without having to use the MS scripts (MicrosoftAjax.js, MicrosoftMvcAjax.js, MicrosoftMvcValidation.js)? I use JQuery throughout my application; JQuery has a great plugin for validation and I don't really want to force my users to load MS scripts just for validation. Is this possible? If so, any suggestions for how to accomplish it are appreciated.

  • Why does my layout repeats in device but looks fine on emulator when an image is added in a Relative Layout?

    - by Honey H
    let me try to explain clearly with what I want here. I have a RelativeLayout that contains a header image and the content below it. Now, when i have a header image and a list view below it, the page fits the screen in the device properly, the layout does not repeat. But when I place an image below the header image, the layout repeats in the device. Meaning i could see 2 header images in the device. Some page, I could see half of the header image that is not supposed to be there (repeated header image). However, in emulator, all the pages looks fine and fit the screen nicely. I tried changing to LinearLayout, RelativeLayout inside LinearLayout, Relative Layout, it gave me the same outcome. I hope someone could tell me why this happened. Thanks. Attached is my layout. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" android:background="@drawable/bg" > <ImageView android:id="@+id/header" android:contentDescription="@string/image" android:src= "@drawable/header" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:scaleType="centerCrop"/> <RelativeLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_centerInParent="true" android:orientation="vertical" > <ImageView android:id="@+id/journal" android:layout_width="150dp" android:layout_height="150dp" android:layout_alignTop="@+id/kick" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:contentDescription="@string/image" android:padding="10dp" android:src="@drawable/favourite_journal" /> <ImageView android:id="@+id/kick" android:layout_width="150dp" android:layout_height="150dp" android:layout_toRightOf="@+id/journal" android:layout_below="@+id/header" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:contentDescription="@string/image" android:padding="10dp" android:src="@drawable/favourite_kick" /> <ImageView android:id="@+id/labour" android:layout_width="150dp" android:layout_height="150dp" android:layout_below="@+id/journal" android:layout_alignLeft="@+id/journal" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:contentDescription="@string/image" android:padding="10dp" android:src="@drawable/favourite_labour" /> <ImageView android:id="@+id/share" android:layout_width="150dp" android:layout_height="150dp" android:layout_below="@+id/kick" android:layout_alignLeft="@+id/kick" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:contentDescription="@string/image" android:padding="10dp" android:src="@drawable/favourite_share" /> </RelativeLayout> </RelativeLayout>

  • Apk Expansion Files - Application Licensing - Developer account - NOT_LICENSED response

    - by mUncescu
    I am trying to use the APK Expansion Files extension for Android. I have uploaded the APK to the server along with the extension files. If the application was previously published i get a response from the server saying NOT_LICENSED: The code I use is: APKExpansionPolicy aep = new APKExpansionPolicy(mContext, new AESObfuscator(getSALT(), mContext.getPackageName(), deviceId)); aep.resetPolicy(); LicenseChecker checker = new LicenseChecker(mContext, aep, getPublicKey(); checker.checkAccess(new LicenseCheckerCallback() { @Override public void allow(int reason) { @Override public void dontAllow(int reason) { try { switch (reason) { case Policy.NOT_LICENSED: mNotification.onDownloadStateChanged(IDownloaderClient.STATE_FAILED_UNLICENSED); break; case Policy.RETRY: mNotification.onDownloadStateChanged(IDownloaderClient.STATE_FAILED_FETCHING_URL); break; } } finally { setServiceRunning(false); } } @Override public void applicationError(int errorCode) { try { mNotification.onDownloadStateChanged(IDownloaderClient.STATE_FAILED_FETCHING_URL); } finally { setServiceRunning(false); } } }); So if the application wasn't previously published the Allow method is called. If the application was previously published and now it isn't the dontAllow method is called. I have tried: http://developer.android.com/guide/google/play/licensing/setting-up.html#test-response Here it says that if you use a developer or test account on your test device you can set a specific response, I use LICENSED as response and still get NOT_LINCESED. Resetting the phone, clearing google play store cache, application data. Changing the versioncode number in different combinations still doesn't work. Edit: In case someone else was facing this problem I received an mail from the google support team We are aware that newly created accounts for testing in-app billing and Google licensing server (LVL) return errors, and are working on resolving this problem. Please stay tuned. In the meantime, you can use any accounts created prior to August 1st, 2012, for testing. So it seems to be a problem with their server, if I use the main developer thread everything works fine.

  • iTextSharp 5.0 Footer is not displaying

    - by Rick Make
    I am trying to create a simple footer that would display on the bottom of each page of the pdf document. I created a class that inherits from PdfPageEventHelper and it is set properly because the OnEndPage() method is called. But my temporary footer is not displaying. Is there something wrong that I am doing in my OnEndPage() method: public override void OnEndPage(PdfWriter writer, Document document) { base.OnEndPage(writer, document); int pageN = writer.PageNumber; String text = "Page " + pageN + " of "; float len = bf.GetWidthPoint(text, 8); Rectangle pageSize = document.PageSize; cb.SetRGBColorFill(100, 100, 100); cb.BeginText(); cb.SetFontAndSize(bf, 8); cb.SetTextMatrix(pageSize.GetLeft(40), pageSize.GetBottom(30)); cb.ShowText(text); cb.EndText(); cb.AddTemplate(template, pageSize.GetLeft(40) + len, pageSize.GetBottom(30)); cb.BeginText(); cb.SetFontAndSize(bf, 8); cb.ShowTextAligned(PdfContentByte.ALIGN_RIGHT, "Printed On " + PrintTime.ToString(), pageSize.GetRight(40), pageSize.GetBottom(30), 0); cb.EndText(); }

  • CSS IE Hover Effect - Overlapping Elements, Display:Block, and Crashes

    - by Emtucifor
    In a fairly simple page, I have some text appear on hover over some links, like a tooltip. To start with here's my test page I'm working with: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <title>Tooltip Test Page</title> <style type="text/css"> html, body, form, table, tr, td, div, p, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 { border:0; margin:0; padding:0; } body { margin:10px; } html, body, table { font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:12px; } h1 { font-weight:bold; font-size:16px; } table {border-collapse:collapse;} td {padding:0 8px 0 0;} a.tooltip { z-index:24; text-decoration:none; cursor:default; position:relative; color:#000; display:block; width:100px; } a.tooltip span {display:none;} a.tooltip:hover, a.tooltip:active { z-index:25; color:; background:; /* the color and background actually don't matter for their values, it's just that these have to change for IE to apply this style properly. Leaving out the color or the background makes this fail in different ways. */ } a.tooltip:hover span, a.tooltip:active span { display:block; position:absolute; color:black; background-color:#FFFFCC; border:1px solid black; padding:1px; text-align:left; top:0; left:0; margin-top:-1px; } td span.s5 {color:#ff0000} td span.s6 {color:#0000ff} </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function labelSubmit(label) { document.getElementById('o').value=label; document.BackAt.submit(); } </script> </head> <body> <h1>tooltip Test Page</h1> <table> <tbody> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 3</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6<span>Some very long tooltip text to demonstrate the problem by overlapping the cells below.</span></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 1</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6</a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 2</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6<span>Some tooltip text</span></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 4</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6</a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s5">&#x25a0;</span> Name 5</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 5<span>More Notes</span></a></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span class="s6">&#x25a0;</span> Name 6</td> <td class="status"><a class="tooltip" href="" onclick="return false;">Status 6<span>Yet more notes</span></a></td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </body> </html> The problem I'm experiencing is that text from other values shows through the tooltip text. Hover over the first row, second column to see the effect. There are a couple of things I'm trying to accomplish: Make the activation area for the hover wider, so hovering over some space to the right of "Status 6" calls up the tooltip (say, 100-150px total width of target). At first, when I was adding "display:block" to a.tooltip, IE was terminating on hover. I resolved that by removing width:14em from a.tooltip:hover. Styling the width of the hover event + display.block on the a element does BAD things. Change the width of the tooltip without changing the width of the column/parent element (so the tooltip can be wider than itso it takes up less vertical space). Options for making the tooltips change width with its contents up to a max width, at which point the lines wrap would be awesome, but probably impossible in IE. As soon as I put a width in place on a.tooltip, the portion of the tooltip that is above other rows than the hover source let text show through from those cells. Remove the width and you'll see that the text doesn't show through any more. The hover effect applies to the entire tooltip, so if the tooltip covers 3 rows, while moving the mouse downward, the next 2 rows won't activate because the cursor hasn't left the tooltip. Can the hover effect apply only to the initial element hovered over and not the tooltip itself so moving the mouse downward will show each tooltip in each row? It would be nice if the links could never be activated (they can't take the focus). I don't know if that's possible. Too bad IE doesn't support hover on any elements but links. Note: soon IE6 will be abandoned in favor of IE8. If it makes a big difference, then IE8 can be the target browser instead. Thanks for your help.

  • Set PageIndex of DataPager

    - by Barbosa
    I have a ListView that I am paging with a DataPager. I would like to set the initial page of the pager on Page_Load. I have tried the DataPager.SetPageProperties method but it's not doing what I need. Here's how I'm calling this method: dataPager.SetPageProperties(3, dataPager.TotalRowCount, false); The line above trims the datasource to start at the third item and paging still starts at 1. This is not what I want. I want to keep the entire list of items and just jump to a specific page in the list. Is there another Property and/or method of a DataPager and/or ListView that I should use? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Firebug and jQuery selectors in an iFrame

    - by writes_on
    Hi all, I'm working on a web application and using the jQuery plug-in Colorbox to pop up a window that presents a form for editing elements of the parent window. I'm using Firebug to debug my Javascript and jQuery, and I noticed that I can't select an element in my Colorbox HTML form using the jQuery console command line. For instance: $date = $("#date"); returns nothing when run from the jQuery console command line, even though I have an input element with id="date" and the Firebug "element inspect" pointer can find the element in the iFrame. Is there a way to get Firebug's console to access the elements in an iFrame? Thanks for your help! Doug

  • Application Specific Paths for DLL Loading when DLL is loaded dynamically

    - by MartinHT
    Hi: I am building a program that uses a very simple plugin system. This is the code I'm using to load the possible plugins: public interface IPlugin { string Name { get; } string Description { get; } bool Execute(System.Windows.Forms.IWin32Window parent); } private void loadPlugins() { int idx = 0; string[] pluginFolders = getPluginFolders(); Array.ForEach(pluginFolders, folder => { string[] pluginFiles = getPluginFiles(folder); Array.ForEach(pluginFiles, file => { try { System.Reflection.Assembly assembly = System.Reflection.Assembly.LoadFile(file); Array.ForEach(assembly.GetTypes(), type => { if(type.GetInterface("PluginExecutor.IPlugin") != null) { IPlugin plugin = assembly.CreateInstance(type.ToString()) as IPlugin; if(plugin != null) lista.Add(new PluginItem(plugin.Name, plugin.Description, file, plugin)); } }); } catch(Exception) { } }); }); } When the user selects a particular plugin from the list, I launch the plugin's Execute method. So far, so good! As you can see the plugins are loaded from a folder, and within the folder are several dll's that are needed but the plugin. My problem is that I can't get the plugin to 'see' the dlls, it just searches the launching applications startup folder, but not the folder where the plugin was loaded from. I have tried several methods: 1. Changing the Current Directory to the plugins folder. 2. Using an inter-op call to SetDllDirectory 3. Adding an entry in the registry to point to a folder where I want it to look (see code below) None of these methods work. What am I missing? As I load the dll plugin dynamically, it does not seem to obey any of the above mentioned methods. What else can I try? Regards, MartinH. //HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey appPaths = Microsoft.Win32.Registry.LocalMachine.CreateSubKey( string.Format( @"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\{0}", System.IO.Path.GetFileName(Application.ExecutablePath)), Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKeyPermissionCheck.ReadWriteSubTree); appPaths.SetValue(string.Empty, Application.ExecutablePath); object path = appPaths.GetValue("Path"); if(path == null) appPaths.SetValue("Path", System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(pluginItem.FileName)); else { string strPath = string.Format("{0};{1}", path, System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(pluginItem.FileName)); appPaths.SetValue("Path", strPath); } appPaths.Flush();

  • How to use and/or localize DisplayAttribute with ASP.NET MVC2?

    - by asp_net
    I am trying to figure out how to get the DisplayAttribute in my MVC 2 ViewModel to work with the Html.LabelFor() helper. Neither public class TestModel { [Display(ResourceType = typeof(Localization.Labels))] public string Text { get; set; } } nor public class TestModel { [Display(Name = "test")] public string Text { get; set; } } seem to work. Localizing the Required Attribute works as expected: [Required(ErrorMessageResourceName = "Test", ErrorMessageResourceType = typeof(Localization.Labels))] I am using VS2010 RC. Has anybody got that running?

Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Noob Objective-C/C++ - Linker Problem/Function Def Problem

    - by Josh
    There is a static class Pipe, defined in C++ header that I'm including. The function I'm interested in calling (from Objetive-c) is here: static ERC SendUserGet(const UserId &_idUser,const GUID &_idStyle,const ZoneId &_idZone,const char *_pszMsg); I have access to an objetive-c data structure that appears to store a copy of userID, and zoneID -- it looks like: @interface DataBlock : NSObject { GUID userID; GUID zoneID; } Looked up the GUID def, and its a struct with a bunch of overloaded operators for equality. UserId and ZoneId from the first function signature are #typedef GUID Now when I try to call the function, no matter how I cast it (const UserId), (UserId), etc, I get the following linker error: "Pipe::SendUserGet(_GUID const&, _GUID const&, _GUID const&, char const*)", referenced from: -[PeoplePaneController clickGet:] in PeoplePaneController.o Is this a type/function signature error, or truly some sort of linker error? I have the headers where all these types and static classes are defined #imported -- I tried #include too, just in case, since I'm already stumbling :P Forgive me, I come from a web tech background, so this c-style memory management and immutability stuff is super hazy. Thanks, Josh

But for some reasons i need to use <MasterTableView></MasterTableView> Can anyone help me out to fix this error. Thanks In Advance

  • Convert WMI CimType to System.Type

    - by Anonymous Coward
    I am trying to write a generic extension to turn a ManagementObjectCollection into a DataTable. This is just to make things easier for a startup script/program I am writing. I have ran into a problem with CimType. I have included the code I have written so far below. public static DataTable GetData(this ManagementObjectCollection objectCollection) { DataTable table = new DataTable(); foreach (ManagementObject obj in objectCollection) { if (table.Columns.Count == 0) { foreach (PropertyData property in obj.Properties) { table.Columns.Add(property.Name, property.Type); } } DataRow row = table.NewRow(); foreach (PropertyData property in obj.Properties) { row[property.Name] = property.Value; } table.Rows.Add(row); } return table; } } I have found the a method which I think will work at http://www.devcow.com/blogs/adnrg/archive/2005/09/23/108.aspx. However it seems to me like there may be a better way, or even a .net function I am overlooking.

  • What is wrong with Paperclip+ImageMagick on Heroku?

    - by Yuri
    UPD class User < ActiveRecord::Base Paperclip.options[:swallow_stderr] = false has_attached_file :photo, :styles => { :square => "100%", :large => "100%" }, :convert_options => { :square => "-auto-orient -geometry 70X70#", :large => "-auto-orient -geometry X300" }, :storage => :s3, :s3_credentials => "#{RAILS_ROOT}/config/s3.yml", :path => ":attachment/:id/:style.:extension", :bucket => 'mybucket' validates_attachment_size :photo, :less_than => 5.megabyte end Works great on local machine, but gives me an error on Heroku: There was an error processing the thumbnail for stream.20143 The thing is I want to auto-orient photos before resizing, so they resized properly. The only working variant now(thanks to jonnii) is resizing without auto-orient: ... as_attached_file :photo, :styles => { :square => "70X70#", :large => "X300" }, :storage => :s3, :s3_credentials => "#{RAILS_ROOT}/config/s3.yml", :path => ":attachment/:id/:style.:extension", :bucket => 'mybucket' ... How to pass additional convert options to paperclip on Heroku?
