  • Any tips for how to build a LED system thet will light up to music?

    - by daniels
So basically I would like somehow that given an audio file as input (most likely mp3 or I can use some audio engine that will handle other types too) from my computer to control some LED lights so they will be something like an oscilloscope, like the one in winamp. What would I need to be able to do this? I'm interested in building thing up all by myself, coding, hardware, etc.. I'm going with C++ on Windows.

I use subversion, and since the last svn up on my 64 bits system, I've got errors : http://pastebin.be/23730 core, wrapper and interface are compilet using the -fPIC option, I do not understand so ... Thanks :)

  • Tapestry5 display grid component using a hashmap

    - by Eldred
Hi there I am trying to attempt to display a hashmap using a grid component. If I use List list = CollectionFactory.newList(MyHashMap) it returns a list however on my template page I see Empty and false when passing my parameter t:souce="list" to my grid component, therefore my grid component only returns one row. Some code snippets would be a great help. Many thanks

  • Using java provided parameters into xpath function while applying xslt transformation

    - by filmac
I'm working at a java application that performs some xslt transformation. I would like to match nodes into the xslt document, using a parameter provided by java. Which is the right way to do something like: <xsl:template match="//m:properties/*[contains($pattern,name())]"> because when I launch my application, it claims it's not able to compile the stylesheet, since pattern is not defined but I'm setting it using the setParameter method and I was able to use another parameter defined in the same way but in a different context. Thanks in advance Fil

  • GNU Emacs: skeleton-mode, is it still used ?

    - by xma
Hi, given all the possible solutions to have a template system with GNU Emacs, what do people use today ? I am still using skeleton-mode but as I read it here and there, we must be really few to do so. What are you using and why ? (maybe I could switch to a more popular tool). Cheers

  • To find a determinate of Matrix using Boost library in c++

    - by user314097
Hi, I' am required to convert a MATLAB function into C++, and this requires me to find determinate of a matrix. I was told that use of BOOST library would make my job easier. I went through the documentation of BOOST Library, but couldn't find much info about the same. If anyone could give a template for the above operation, It would be of lot of help and would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Regards

  • when is the right time to draw

    - by stupid_idiot
hi i just finished essential part of my own personal 2d engine in c++ and i'm kinda deciding how to complete the part where it is actually supposed to display everything on the screen, namely when do I call that function which does the job. I don't have much idea of how does the graphic card work, my biggest experience is calling bios graphic services to write some stuff on the screen. Could you give me a hint on this pls? Or maybe some keywords I should try to google?

  • Writing A Good C# Equals Method

    - by ChloeRadshaw
Does anyone have a template for writing a decent equals method - I remember in Effective Java there was problems around handling equals when dealing with subclasses. I dont have the book with me and I cannot remember if it was practical advice - So how do you write a solid robust equals method implementation?

  • Custom InputIterator for Boost graph (BGL)

    - by Shadow
Hi, I have a graph with custom properties to the vertices and edges. I now want to create a copy of this graph, but I don't want the vertices to be as complex as in the original. By this I mean that it would suffice that the vertices have the same indices (vertex_index_t) as they do in the original graph. Instead of doing the copying by hand I wanted to use the copy-functionality of boost::adjacency_list (s. http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_37_0/libs/graph/doc/adjacency_list.html): template <class EdgeIterator> adjacency_list(EdgeIterator first, EdgeIterator last, vertices_size_type n, edges_size_type m = 0, const GraphProperty& p = GraphProperty()) The description there says: The EdgeIterator must be a model of InputIterator. The value type of the EdgeIterator must be a std::pair, where the type in the pair is an integer type. The integers will correspond to vertices, and they must all fall in the range of [0, n). Unfortunately I have to admit that I don't quite get it how to define an EdgeIterator that is a model of InputIterator. Here's what I've succeded so far: template< class EdgeIterator, class Edge > class MyEdgeIterator// : public input_iterator< std::pair<int, int> > { public: MyEdgeIterator() {}; MyEdgeIterator(EdgeIterator& rhs) : actual_edge_it_(rhs) {}; MyEdgeIterator(const MyEdgeIterator& to_copy) {}; bool operator==(const MyEdgeIterator& to_compare) { return actual_edge_it_ == to_compare.actual_edge_it_; } bool operator!=(const MyEdgeIterator& to_compare) { return !(*this == to_compare); } Edge operator*() const { return *actual_edge_it_; } const MyEdgeIterator* operator->() const; MyEdgeIterator& operator ++() { ++actual_edge_it_; return *this; } MyEdgeIterator operator ++(int) { MyEdgeIterator<EdgeIterator, Edge> tmp = *this; ++*this; return tmp; } private: EdgeIterator& actual_edge_it_; } However, this doesn't work as it is supposed to and I ran out of clues. So, how do I define the appropriate InputIterator?

  • Will AJAX cause my site to have a high bounce % and hurt my search ratings?

    - by Cryo
I'm building an art gallery website that updates its images via AJAX, for those who have javascript enabled, rather than request multiple page loads. I assume this will appear as though my site has a high bounce percentage. I understand that search engines will not be able to index dynamic content, but will such a misinterpreted bounce rate hurt my search engine ratings, even if I have many return visitors?
