On a Windows 7 machine I get the output: ???????.txt From googling around, properly reading this filename on windows seems to be an impossible task. Any suggestions?

• Win32 C++ Import path based on OS?

  I'm working with some legacy code that has an import like so: #import "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\ado\msado15.dll" rename("EOF", "EndOfFile") The problem is, on a x64 machine the path for this import is in the 'Program Files (x86)' directory. Is there a preprocessor macro I can wrap around this to make it work on either? Edit: I think I found it. _M_X64, but im not 100% sure if this is correct.

• Possible to change where Android Virtual Devices are saved?

  I've set up the Android SDK and Eclipse on my machine running Windows XP and AVDs (Android Virtual Devices) are saved to "Documents and Settings\user\.android" by default. Is there any way to change this behavior? I have all of the other components saved in a directory on a separate partition and would like everything to be consolidated. Obviously not a huge deal but does anyone here know a workaround for this?

  After rearranging my physical network in my apartment my Windows Vista machine can no longer connect to the network. I have tested all of the cabling by connecting other devices and everything is fine. I'm able to connect using other computers, I've even tested a brand new ethernet adapter and the network status still reads "media disconnected". I have no idea where to go from here. My setup is as follows: Cable modem - router - hardwired ethernet cable to computer.

  So I have 50 tabs opened on chromium, but that is using too much memory and some of the CPU. How can I have all those concurrent researches I am doing opened but not clog my machine? I think there should have a way that only the active tab is loaded in memory and running, and all the others should stay closed/unloaded from memory, until I want to look at them...   Hey, I wanted to know if we can access the HttpContext class in the App_Code folder. I am asking so because i have a CommonMethods.cs class inside my App_Code folder. I have written a method that checks if a cookie exists on the client machine or not, but it does not return the cookie.
