    Hello, Im writing application in c++ and after try to run built (in debug mode) application on another machine I had error (The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorect). I realised that there are missed DLLs from windows\WinSxS\ But I dont really know which folder contains what I really need and secondly I dont know how to check my compiler version in visual studio.     I would like to convert this /bin/sh syntax into a widely compatible Windows batch script: host=`hostname` echo ${host} How to do this so that it'll work on any Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 machine? To clarify: I would then like to go on in the program and use the hostname as stored in the variable host. In other words, the larger goal of the program is not to simply echo the hostname.

Same data is exported using SELECT INTO OUTFILE and FTPed to the shared host every few hours. My hosting provider doesn't allow LOAD DATA INFILE to be executed on the shared host? What are my other options for automated/scheduled load to MYSQL db on my shared host?

  • Tomcat 6 is really UNSTABLE when redeploying web apps

    Do you know how to make it more stable, maybe properties to set, memory to allocate? It always hangs up when redeploying web apps, thru manager (wars), web interface or maven plugin. every second time it gives PermGenSpace, no memory errors etc. on my local machine 3gb ram. It looks like it should be manually set up to work in a stable way. How to fix such a problem?

    I am reading a file byte-by-byte. Say for example i have this byte: 0x41 (0100 0001) represented in hex. Now, I want the first three bits of this byte, i.e (010). I can use bitwise logic to extract the first three bits, but my question is will the first three bits be independent of endianess of the machine.(i.e they can't be 001)? Thanks,

  • Understanding java's native threads and the jvm

    I understand that the jvm is itself an application that turns the bytecode of the java executable into native machine code, but when using native threads I have some questions that I just cannot seem to answer. Does every thread create their own instance of the jvm to handle their particular execution? If not then does the jvm have to have some way to schedule which thread it will handle next, if so wouldn't this render the multi-threaded nature of java useless since only one thread can be ran at a time?

    I am having a weird experience. I am dynamically creating a row of textboxes at runtime when the user clicks a button. However, on my local machine the text boxes appear correctly (example [TextBox1] [TextBox2] [TextBox3] [TextBox4] [TextBox5] [TextBox1] [TextBox2] [TextBox3] [TextBox4] [TextBox5] [TextBox1] [TextBox2] [TextBox3] [TextBox4] [TextBox5] When I run this app on the production, the output side-by-side is: [TextBox1][TextBox1] [TextBox2][TextBox2] [TextBox3][TextBox3] [TextBox4][TextBox4] The output should be one row of textboxes, then a second row of 5 text boxes Anyone experience this?

    Do you upload your rail application to your host via FTP first? I'm currently using Passenger and Capistrano. If I do "cap deploy" in my local machine then I think Capistrano should upload my rail application to my host, right? Someone from my host is saying that I need to run "cap deploy" in server. As I research Robotium works with a different Virtual Machine (Dalvik) so I cannot run as Junit Test (Only with Android Junit Test).     Hi, What is the difference between sizeof(3.0) and sizeof(3.0f) I was expecting both of them to give the same result (sizeof float)..but its different. In 32 bit machine,gcc compiler, sizeof(3.0f) =4 sizeof(3.0) = 8 Why so?

    I need a virtual server for web development, it'll host Apache+Postgres+Ruby+something else. What's the most effective software to run such a server? (ie with least virtualization overhead) Is there a way to run Linux as as service? I use VirtualBox at the moment, but it's inconvenient in some ways, such as it needs an emulator window open which also captures keyboard input when alttabbed into. (Also, coLinux hangs at boot on my machine, so it's probably not an option)

  • Can Apache httpd be made to log errors to console instead of log files?

    I'm doing infrequent development with Apache/PHP on my Windows machine so I've opted to run apache as a console process instead of a service. It would be nice if errors could be logged to the console window instead of a logfile so I can see them immediately. Can this be done somehow? It doesn't seem that apache has such a capability built in and I can't find a mod that would do this either.

    Hi All, Not able to create standalone python binary package 1) The binary package works only on the machine on which it is build 2) There is always an error with respect console.py dependent on cx_freeze and wx libraries (.so files). 3) Tried the rpath trick suggested at this link http://wiki.wxpython.org/CreatingStandaloneExecutables 4) I have also experimented with GUI2exe , but still dependency problem exists. Please let me know if there is working python script to solve these dependence problem of cx_freeze and wx._core (.so) files. Thank you

  • FDT 3 Enterprise, can't add breakpoints.

    I've been using FDT for a long long time, on my new machine, with the Enterprise edition, I cannot add breakpoints on the editors gutter, and the debugger doesn't show any variables when testing with the external player. Any ideas on how to fix, is it some obscure Eclipse setting, or and FDT setting?
